I have created a new TA account as previously my partner and I used to have one account. I had been to Pullman Albert Park three times, once in 2022 during GP and this year again, both times with my partner and me alone in October. In 2022 we had issues as the hotel had just reopened after Covid and like many places, it was chaotic. My then partner, an avid F 1 fan, had paid a premium rate and we were unhappy with the service and the room. Having complained to a friend who was then the Marketing Manager for the group, who also happened to be staying, we were introduced to the General Manager, Michael. We thought he managed our issues very professionally and we ended up booking for this year again. Michael met us this year and we had a drink and again, he was charming. My partner and Michael shared many stories about F1, the different tracks and drivers etc., This time in October, I had to come to the CBD and as I had a good impression of the hotel, I asked my friend to book the Pullman as she was travelling on business. The reception was a total disaster while checking in and I was trying to call Michael but he was not answering. As we had to wait for a while we went to the bar and again, as they seemed to be short of staff we did not end up getting a drink, having waited for a while. Finally the room was provided and I felt we were not welcomed with courtesy and was disappointed that I could not get through to Michael as well. The next morning we came for breakfast we asked for the General Manager Michael and someone else turned up. I was confused and said that I asked for Michael but the person said that Michael is no longer with the company. I then said that I tried calling Michael but he was not answering. We were then told that the number does not belong to Michael and we felt strange the way we were told about Michael as if the person did not want to do anything with this conversation. Finally we did not say anything about the issues as we were leaving that afternoon anyway but feel disappointed.

This hotel is obviously experiencing staffing issues as all customer service experiences were unacceptably slow. Check in procedure took 30 minutes, room service for drinks was 45 minutes and attempting to resolve a refund for for the cancelled room service was over 30 minutes. In the hotel lobby is was evident the front of house staff were fielding concerns from many customers. We are generally understanding people but this was our most frustrating and disappointing hotel stay (world wide).

Had a wonderful night’s stay at the Pullman last weekend. Last time we stayed there we had an unpleasant and unpleasant experience. Hotel management went above and beyond to make amends - ensuring our experience this time was fabulous. Special thanks to hotel management- especially Rhett.

4 nights in the Hotel from Hell. Where to begin?: 1. The room is old and tired, with none of the usual inclusions. No glasses other than bathroom. No cold water - nothing at all. It's very downmarket for the price, reminiscent of a highway motel (not at highway motel prices). 2. The hotel, including the foyers, was completely taken over for the entire weekend by a massive HiFi sales event. After threading our way through displays and ticket lines in the foyer, we made it to the lift, hidden behind a temporary ticketing booth. The noise in the foyer from the HiFi demos is loud and intrusive to say the least, and in the room, 2 floors up, it reverberates, all day, like a thunderstorm. The only place to find some peace was either in a deserted entry foyer or in the nearby park. The foyers, bar and coffee bar are packed all day with HiFi salespeople. Don't expect a restful, or respectful, stay. It's like an all-day disco. 3. The internet connection is not useable. Connection speeds in the room (on three devices) range from 0 to 4.1 Mbps. All attempts to fix this failed. 4. All dining room coffee machines were inoperative at breakfast. The only option was to purchase a coffee from the adjacent coffee bar (on top of the $40 breakfast buffet). 4. The hotel foyer and dining room clearly do not have a curated music playlist or policy. The dining room has a boombox on the floor playing hip-hop pop at breakfast. The main foyer / coffee shop is little better. It's completely inappropriate for the venues or time of day. On balance, the front of house staff are helpful and cheerful, but worked off their feet. They clearly have no authority, and it shows. Beyond that, management just falls off a cliff. A persistent problem that was reminiscent of the Novotel Crackenback many years ago. Unable to find another hotel in the area for our last two nights, so it looks like we are stuck with it. Easily one of our worst hotel experiences in the world.

We had the pleasure of staying at Pullman Melbourne Albert Park during a recent business conference trip. Rhett Constantine, the Chief Concierge, and his outstanding team truly made our stay something special. Our 3-night work trip with the LUXit team, from 9 July to 12 July, was an absolute delight. The rooms struck a perfect balance between modern style and comfort, and every little detail had been carefully considered, including a thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us in our room, underlining their hospitality. They accommodated us with an early check-in so we could start working, which was very helpful. As frequent travellers, we recommend Pullman Melbourne Albert Park to anyone, especially business travellers. Their inviting rooms, attentive service, and exceptional value for money make them a standout choice.

I was there for 5 days for a business and leisure conference, the location of the hotel is just fabulous, it's right across Albert park and the lake, where I went 2 times for a stroll n jog in the morning. St. Kilda beach is about 2 kms through some nice neighborhoods where you get to see the local housing and the culture. Nice comfortable beds and well maintained property. I would like to mention our morning buffet manager or host Jessica who was always smiling and welcoming us, she is someone who loves her job and always was very warm n welcoming towards all the guests, always ready to help and give you some small tips about the city and the culture. I really admired her spirit and enthusiasm at her job, something I learnt from her. Great buffet breakfast the menu being the same everyday but lots of variety to offer. The tram service is just 400 meters behind the hotel and there is a tram that goes straight to the city centre at AUD 5 max. They have an indoor all season swimming pool and a great gym. 2 nice bars serving good cocktails and house spirits. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone one for its good location. Only once I faced the problem with room cleaning that they did not clean up the toilet of my room but otherwise the stay was a great one. Very helpful staff at the front desk and at the buffet breakfast area.

Booked through Luxury Escapes, the room was lovely and great view over the park. However, the breakfast was inedible. They ran out of food and we had to wait 20 minutes for the buffet to be topped up. When it was the food was cold and the quality and taste inedible.

I booked 10 nights at Pullman Albert Park, and got upgraded into privilege room. It was a pleasant stay. It shares the same facilities (restaurant, gym, pool etc) with Mercure, but it felt more like you're in Mercure than in Pullman. The hotel is a short tram trip to CBD. The tram stop is within walking distance, so it was convenient. I love that it is facing the Albert Park lake, such a vibe! The building is a bit old, but the room was still comfortable. The service was very good, everyone was really friendly. The only downside was that they looked understaff. I had to carry my own luggage when I left, and not many staff were present especially in the restaurant. But, everyone was very helpful! This hotel offers good value for longer stay. It's a perfect place if you want to explore more local activities such as: visiting the markets, exploring the surrounding (you can go to Royal Botanic, National Gallery of Victoria, Shrine of Remembrance), or going to the beach. Thank you for the pleasant experience!

Thank you Mr. Vincent for taking care of our upgraded room on 7th floor. Thank you team for saving my valuables with you for so many days! We had beautiful views of the lake and the Albert park and also had good options in food - vegan and non vegetarian. Very good rooms and extremely courteous and honest staff.

This was a very average hotel experience. To start with a positive, I can say that the room was clean. Also the check in and check out experience was easy and the staff were friendly. But aside from these things, this Pullman is below par. There were damp patches of carpet throughout my room when I first arrived (unfortunately discovered while I was wearing socks). The decor looks like it hasn’t been updated since the ‘90s. The pillows were TERRIBLE. Big, hard and completely impossible to sleep on. The two single beds clumsily joined together to make the king didn’t help either. Not to mention the lack of soundproofing which meant that every conversation outside my door at ALL HOURS was easily audible. There was no complimentary water provided in the room and the breakfast buffet was very basic and unappetising. This Pullman has a lot of work to do if it’s supposed to be part of the same hotel chain as the Pullman On The Park (which is beautiful, modern and has an incredible restaurant).
