My daughter and I recently enjoyed an extended weekend at the Lancemore Crossley St. and absolutely loved every aspect of it. The decor is delightful, the rooftop is a great place to take a break or enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail with lounges, daybeds and even a fireplace. The room had everything we needed and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable! Staff were always helpful and approachable and we felt that no request was too much trouble. We actually felt quite at home. The hotel was in a great spot, surrounded by buzzy restaurants and bars and very easy to get to on public transport for out of towners like us. We also enjoyed some lovely wine from another Lancemore property and would seek out and stay at any other Lancemore given the opportunity.
Nothing particularly wrong with this hotel. Great ok, roof top lounge area was ok, check in was ok, rates ok, room was ok, staff were all ok…..it’s an ok hotel but it’s not amazing. We love Melbourne and we love staying in amazing hotels….this is a combination of its location, staff and room….. this hotel was “ok”.
Stayed in a suite and air conditioning very noisy. Had to turn it off and then had no air in room. Room was clean and staff attentive but doesn’t make up for noisy air conditioning. Shower not the best either as very sensitive to get right and then I lost hot water
All staff were extremely accommodating, especially Craig. They have available great drinks and snacks in the lobby so this was a big plus. The service was exceptional as well. Would definitely send all my friends there for lovely staycation! Its gorgeous!
My wife and I stayed here in January of 2022 for our wedding anniversary. We picked this hotel based on the very positive reviews on TA and photos. Our stay was not as amazing as others have had. The beds were OK, but nothing special, and the pillows were actually way too big and gave my wife and me sore necks and unfortunately, there were no alternatives pillows in the rooms. When we arrived we noticed the room had not been cleaned very well. There was lipstick on the sink, ring marks on the bedside tables and table, Furthermore, the toilet seat was also coming off and moved while using it. There were also a few design issues, mainly the sink/kettle. The kettle was too tall and could not even fit under the only tap in the room to fill it up. We had to use the shower to fill up the kettle. The rooms look nice in photos, however, in reality, they are very sterile, all white and grey, and compared to many other hotels we have stayed in, average. The corridor outside our room also had a very had smell and the rooms were not very soundproof, we could still hear people talking and yelling outside and we were on the top floor. For the price of the room, I would say we got what we paid for, the value is good don't get me wrong. But the hotel does not deserve the glowing reviews I have read and I would not recommend this hotel for couples wanting something special.…
