We loved being so handy to the trams and shops. The staff were very friendly and so appreciated getting snacks and drinks and Wi Fi free. Having the pool was an extra bonus. We would certainly recommend the hotel and will be back.

I recently had a great stay at the Adelphi Hotel and highly recommend it to any visitor in Melbourne! The boutique hotel is perfectly located in the CBD, within a 0-10 minute walk of the best shopping, best restaurants, sporting arenas, Flinders Station and Federation Square. Every day tour we went on picked us up at the hotel because of...

We came over for the tennis and this hotel has been amazing. The rooms are very cool and modern. So comfy and they put an extra bed in the room that was comfy too. The staff are all wickedly nice and go out of their way to help. Bonus is the free wifi and snacks in the room everyday. The...

My partner and I were very impressed with the service and the way in which we were greeted and looked after for our short stay. We were there for a special event at Mon Bijou. The room was a generous size and it felt like home away from home. Thank you very much A1 rating!!

My husband & I dined here on a recent trip back to Melbourne with very lovely friends & had the most beautiful meal . Everything was cooked to perfection ! The pork belly was amazing ! Flavours were great & beautifully plated . We had matching wines with each course , sommelier was so informative but not boring.

We live in Melbourne and were staying in the city for a romantic getaway. I can't believe I've only just found out about this place! Exceptional service from the start, loved the welcome drink and lollies everywhere! Small touches make for big impact. Great location on Flinders Lane in walking distance to everything and most importantly the best restaurants in...

Staff very friendly and helpful. So many amazing restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Incredible desserts and cocktails at the restaurant. Bit disappointed with the room- we had the Flinders King, the shower was small and not very good- temperature inconsistent and not powerful. Decor looking a bit tired. Beds very comfy though, but bear in mind you are right...

Had a great stay here for a 50th birthday in Mon Bijou. Have to say that the welcome from reception staff and room service was excellent. Service from the restaurant staff however was extremely disappointing on both days. Speed of service and attitude from staff was incredibly disappointing. Overall though would recommend it and stay here again.

We stayed at The Adelphi for our honeymoon and it could not have been better. The attention to detail and the professionalism of the staff were second to none. The room itself was gorgeous with wonderful furnishings, a huge comfy bed, and the famous free mini-bar! We ate at Om Nom on the first night and the food and cocktails,...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
