All of the staff members I encountered were great and accommodating. There was a problem with my TV apps, which was resolved immediately. My room overlooked the Yarra River near the bridge crossing. I had great views of the city's skyscrapers, heliport, and nightly fireworks displays. The public areas were clean. The beds were comfortable. If you are dining at Yugo for breakfast, make reservations on weekends. The Yugo breakfast buffet was the same each day and expensive. The restaurant limits the dining time on weekends. The elevator to the gym was broken, and there was a limited amount of equipment. However, the gym did offer free bottles of water. I used the city's free transportation system to explore areas around the city business district. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay at Crown in the future.…

Before and after a cruise we stayed at the Crowne Plaza. For one night we had a standard room, a fine fit for 2 adults and an under 2 year old. The room was clean and well kept. The customer service was excellent. The only complaint would be we had requested a travel cot and confirmed this on the day, however it was not set up when we arrived in the room. After again requesting the travel cot it arrived and we weren’t very impressed with the type/quality, it was small and flimsy and I did not feel particularly comfortable using it. On our return we stayed in the suite, such lovely accommodation, so roomy. Again we were advised that a travel cot was in our room but it was not. We opted to use our own (we weren’t originally going to have this available but glad we did). We appreciated the complimentary water in the suite and the filtered water station near the lifts to the room, a great touch and I wish all hotels had this. Overall I cannot fault the rooms, cleanliness and customer service. It is the Crowne, so we definitely paid for what we received, this is not a particularly budget friendly option. I also note that I received a better price via the website than contacting directly which I thought was the wrong way around. I have put 4 stars only due to the travel cot issues, otherwise would have been 5. A bit of feedback, whilst there is construction it would be have been good to receive instructions on how to access the valet as the Apple map directions reflected the blocked off entrance and being from interstate, it took us a while to locate.…

All contact with staff at various times during my stay were handled in a professional, efficient and friendly manner. Nothing was too much trouble. From late night snacks to my indecisiveness over breakfast, the staff provided a choice for me.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was a good size, bright and airy. Get a room with a view of the river. Breakfast spread was decent. The tram stop just in front is within the free tram zone. It was nice to walk along the river every morning. I would recommend this hotel for those who are attending a conference at the convention centre

This is a great hotel I was really happy with the room and the staff at the hotel they were really helpful this hotel is a great location down from southern cross station I think it’s about 10 minutes walk from the train station and cross the road from crown casino the casino have restaurants and bars too you can go to the movies it’s so handy to go to the casino or out for tea it’s so handy to have a hotel to stay at very close I would love to stay here again you have a lift to the room they have four lift it’s so fun to see witch lift going to come down first

My wife and I just had four days at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Melbourne and we couldn’t fault it. We have stayed here once before, about six years ago, and at the time I rated it 4 stars. On this occasion it was definitely five stars. The staff from checkin to checkout were without fault and more than helpful with any request. As we had our own car, the cost of parking was more than reasonable at $17 per exit. As it worked out, we didn’t use our car so the total cost for four days was just $17. The location of the hotel is perfect, a casual 5 minute walk to Southbank and Crown and a tram stop right out the front of the hotel. In fact it is the first stop for the free city tram circuit. On this occasion we didn’t have the opportunity to use the pool or restaurants but I’m sure they are of the same high standard as the rest of the hotel.…

Concierge staff were amazing very accommodating and probably the biggest asset this hotel has. Everyone else we found relatively rude .. we were not told that we needed to book for breakfast on a weekend and surely that would have been nice to be Informed. Had dinner at the yugo restaurant we were so disappointed husband ordered a wagyu burger which he had to cut the bun with a steak knife. He was not impressed and the meat itself Definately not good wagyu… though the price indicated it was. We were put in a room that had a view of a wall… 247… last night we ordered room service and asked the staff to bring us some milk which didn’t arrive. The location was close to most things. It was sadly a bit of a disappointment for our 30th wedding anniversary.. the coffee shop that was there the staff were lovely but sadly rest of staff need a lot of training.…

Lovely location on dock lands just out of the CBD but with free trams a short stroll away. Friendly door staff. Great selection at the buffet breakfast. Unfortunately housekeeping let us down every day. They didn’t replenish the bathroom items, the coffee drawer or the fridge. The bed was short changed. Our used glasses & mugs were untouched. The bathroom floor was definitely not mopped. But on the positive, upon ringing reception was very quick to bring us the items we requested. But being 4 star, we shouldn’t have to ask.
