We stayed here three times over the course of 6 weeks in Australia. The location is great, the rooms comfortable- if a little small-, the breakfast very good. The staff was beyond excellent. Any request, small or large, was met with a smile and a "can-do" attitude. Of particular note was the ever-cheery front desk staff. The front-desk supervisor, G Richards, was THE best I've ever encountered in 45 years of business and leisure travel. I cannot say enough how welcome we felt. We look forward to our next stay at this property.

Hotel's Favourite
I'm a jerk and cannot remember their name but the manager who checked us in went above and beyond in terms of customer service (great suits, make-up and hair on point, Filipino accent.) Not only did they make us feel completely welcome, but they gave us great suggestions around town that we actually used and appreciated. They spent a lot of time with us and while my parents were just waiting behind us (we were checking into both rooms) the other employees were talking to them and offering them water and such. I may have to change my hotel loyalty after this experience. We were "late" to check in so all the high floors were taken. I was worried because I read a lot of stuff about how noisy this hotel is. I don't know if we were just lucky or if this isn't the case because it was eerily quiet (like there were no other guests when I know there were, I saw them.) Once we closed the blinds and went to bed, it was pure peaceful bliss. My parents watched tv a lot and when I visited their room next door it felt loud to me but when I went to my room, couldn't hear it at all. The bathroom was superb, with great water pressure and nice fixtures. The whole room was just so smartly appointed and so clean, new and modern. We had an issue with our blinds and someone from maintenance came right away and fixed it no problem. My parents ate at the breakfast buffet and ordered in room dining twice. They loved all of it. The location of this hotel is amazing. That supposedly loud tram in front of the hotel? Gets you anywhere you want to go in Sydney. It's a short walk to the river and other points of interest in the CBD. And it's a block away from some of the best food the CBD has to offer. Absolutely will stay again, if ever in Melbourne.

Amazing hotel, perfect location but more importantly there is the decadent and eclectic Douglas Bar located just within the hotel vicinity. Ella is the most amazing bar tender I have met in awhile, she is friendly, takes the time to know your preferences and then makes this amazing concoction of cocktails that is absolutely perfect!

I had a weekend stay as a foodie trip in Melbourne CBD with my partner. As a Diamond member, I do feel the warmth and privileged upon check-in. I was upgraded to a better room - but sadly the junior suites were under some kind of maintenance work. Nevertheless, the room was well furnished and the bed was super comfy. Hence, I had wonderful stay. However, being a full pledge Hilton there are 2 short comings. 1) there should be full breakfast buffet for Diamond (not just the cold breakfast). Unlike other Hiltons in Australia, there are no restrictions in the complimentary breakfast. 2) the executive lounge is poorly lit and the spread of evening canapé/cocktail was below average. Plus, the staff doesn’t greet the customers. So, Hilton Surfers Paradise & Hilton Sydney fare much better in terms of food variety and service level. Overall, it is a great hotel. But, not worth paying for executive rooms.

Dear Kim Sung Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and I was pleased to read that you enjoyed most of your stay with us. I appreciate your constructive feedback regarding your the Hilton Honors breakfast benefits and our Queen Adelaide Executive Lounge and regret the impact these aspects had on your stay. You are correct in that we do offer complimentary continental breakfast in line with the global Hilton Honors benefits for our diamond members, with the option to upgrade to the full buffet for just $10.00 per person. I would like to apologise that the Executive Lounge service and offerings did not meet your expectations. Rest assured your comments have been shared with our Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef for further review and improvement. Safe travels and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Warm Regards Justin Louey Rooms Division Manager

We stayed here as a local for a city vacation. It’s always nice to be tourist in your own city. I think having a good hotel experience makes it all better and we certainly had a taste of that. We had a really nice junior suite - spacious, clean and modern. Unlike the classic Loccitane, I liked how they offer Hunter Labs, a Melbourne based product, for their toiletries. It’s something I’ve started using at home myself. The exec lounge offers great snacks and drinks at designated hours and not very much outside of it. At times, I felt I needed a coffee fix which wasn’t readily available for self service during normal hours. For breakfast, there are cold and hot breakfast options, the latter being an extra charge on top of your included breakfast room package. Now this is something I’ve never experienced before and doesn’t bode well to a great start to your day. I do feel some of the cost cutting measures by the hotel could be subtle to some but it does leave a lasting impression on guests. Overall, the hotel gives a really pleasant vibe and staff are welcoming but I do think the my could take a leaf out of the books of its counterparts in Asia and Europe when it comes to service offerings.

Dear kaizerchief Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and was pleased to read that you did enjoy many aspects of your stay. I also appreciate your feedback regarding our Executive Lounge and breakfast. It was disappointing to read that the coffee machine in the Executive Lounge was not working for you during the day and have raised this with our Food and Beverage Manager. We can confirm that continental breakfast in our restaurant is included as part of your Executive Lounge inclusions with a small upgrade fee for hot breakfast. I apologise that this did not meet your expectations and rest assured that your comments have been shared with our senior leadership team for review. Wishing you safe onward travels and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Warm Regards Justin Louey Rooms Division Manager

The Hilton Lt. Queen St combines a restored heritage building with modern additions which has been constructed very well, and creatres a very stylish and aesthetically pleasing hotel. stay The restored heritage areas are very beautiful, and the modern floors are also very elegant and pleasing. Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable with quality bathroom amenities. I booked the Corner Premium Room as I wanted extra space and it was a very comfortable and spacious stay, with lots of windows and a large bathroom. Having the separate sitting area was really enjoyable. Bed was super comfortable as expected at a Hilton. The restaurant space looked very nice and though I had room service, I did look at the restaurant menu and it looked very enticing. Room service was excellent. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentative. All in all it was a really excellent stay in very stylish surrounds. Very solid and comfortable hotel experience and would be a good choice while in Melbourne : ) A few small observations: - Hilton Brrakfast in Australia isn't what it used to be. There were no cooked to order options like in the past and the hot buffet selections are on the basic side. I think it is better value to order breakfast a la carte now and get something more inspiring - and you pay extra for good coffee when having buffet anyway. - Executive lounge was also pretty underwhelming. It is a very nice space but the offerings there were a bit basic also. That said, there isn't as great an increase in price for the executive room types here as at other Hiltons. -Restaurant has a great outdoor courtyard with fresh air which is such a plus feature in the post-covid era, to be able to sit outside, but was always very closed off looking. -Not a great fan of the double sheeting to make a doona cover that seems so popular in Melbourne hotels. Always seems to split and expose the doona which isn't cleaned between every guest.

From the check-in with Jerico on reception through to drinks in the bar, breakfast and checkout, this is a great little hotel. Room was comfortable, clean and with a contemporary decor. Parking is a bit of an issue, breakfast is good with a large range of items to kick start your day. Have to pay for a 'real' coffee so on top of a $42 breakfast charge its a bit rich. The main bar (Douglas Club) we found Brandon and his staff excellent - with great knowledge and understood how to make a guest feel welcome. An added surprise was the ability to get a discount when you flash you Hilton Honor's membership card.

Dear Dean Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. We will certainly share your feedback with our team, including Jerico and Brandon who were happy to have made a positive impression on your stay. I do also appreciate your feedback regarding the parking and the barista coffee charges and regret that this impacted an almost perfect stay experience for you. We do include filtered coffee in our buffet breakfast but do understand some guests have a preference for barista coffee and currently provide this as an add on. This is a really nice choice for Melbourne. Set in a beautiful historic building that has been carefully modernized, and now offering a great place to stay in Melbourne. The location is good, right on Bourke Street with easy access to free trams, about 2 blocks from Bourke Street Mall shopping area and also to Southern Cross station (if you arrive by train or take the Skybus from the airport). Do note the reception is really on Little Queen Street in the side Street. If you come in from Bourke Street you end up in the restaurant but they will of course point you in the right direction. Check in was easy and staff friendly. We had a room on level 16, the highest floor. Definitely try for for a room closer to Little Queen Street (quiet) rather than Bourke Street. Ours was super quiet and we loved it. The bed wasn't the most comfortable for us but everything else was great, good bathroom, enough storage, nice views and very clean. Breakfast was included and was goodbye not as good as at some other Hiltons. The good thing is that they seem to change offerings each day so you will get some variety (as well as some staples that stay the same) but it also makes it a little inconsistent. You may have a great Breakfast one day and then a mediocre one the next as your favorite items aren't available. But there is certainly good variety of hot and cold offers so you will start your day well nourished. Do note that filter coffee is free but if you want batista coffee there will be a cost. All in all, we loved it and we would definitely stay again.

Stayed here overnight to break up a long road trip, and what a treat it was. Large, well appointed room, clean and modern. The staff I encountered were all really lovely and helpful. I used valet parking as my vehicle is 2.2m, apparently they have limited space for higher vehicles so it would pay to phone ahead if needing valet for a vehicle higher than 2m. Breakfast had all the usual selections, I only had continental, so can’t comment on the full breakfast, but the restaurant ambiance was really good with attentive staff. The location was right in the Cbd, with the tram stopping out the front, so a really convenient location for both business and tourism.
