Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fully new this hotel is super quiet a and placed for a good meal and theatre. Check in a bit slow but it's all new. Rooms are immaculate. Big king bed and pillows. Bathroom clean. Cannot complain. Not too hard to find and close to Paris End of town.

So stayed at Brady Hotel Jones Lane on the Australia Day weekend. Took a while to check in with only 1 person at the quaint little solo desk. There has been comments about a vile smell in the lifts. To date, this has not been resolved. The room was a bit small. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good with a great shower. My only criticism is the 4 Star claim. Jumping online, my research suggests that a stocked mini-bar and non- terrestrial TV programming should have been on offer. This was not the case. Decent place. Would return, but at best a 3.5 Star establishment

Paid a few quid extra for a king bed, and felt it was worth it. Handily placed in a quietish street, the reception consists of two small standing work stations, and you have to use your room key to work the lift. But rooms are modern, compact and light, with good en suites. Room safe and fridge are good, aircon is hard to control, and the restocking of toiletries and big tools is hit and miss. No vacuuming day to day, but bed is made and pillows primped. Useful independently run coffee bar on ground floor for breakfast. Tea making in room, plus iron and ironing board. Easy one-handle sink tap and shower control.

Decided to go with Brady Hotel Jones Lane as it was at a competitive price and reviews were good. When I got there, seeing the exterior of the hotel, I thought I booked some dodgy place…. Don’t let the exterior fool you (they’re safety features). When I walked into the foyer it was a different feeling. I was greeted by Carrie, who was very friendly, smiling and welcoming. She advised me that my room was ready. Prior to my arrival I received a text from the hotel for online check in, therefore keys to room handed promptly. I also dealt with Jenny, who was as friendly and helpful. I booked a king room on the 11th floor. Room isn’t big, however has the necessary comfort. Room and bathroom were very clean. Very comfortable bed. The hotel doesn’t have an onsite restaurant, however there are a few eateries close by. At the time of my stay, tram services nearby were disrupted due to maintenance work (hotel website advised that). Melbourne Central is a ~10 minutes walk therefore not a major issue. Very pleasant stay.

Our room was adjacent to the Metro Tunnel Construction project where the work continues for 24 hours. Noise levels at night reached 60-70 decibels. We stayed here for four nights. Sleeping was a problem. The property is good and close to everything. The staff are good. However, it is not the best place to stay - especially when construction works goes on for 24 hours a day.

I recently had a stay at Brady Hotels Jones Lane, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel's strategic location in the heart of the CBD area made it incredibly convenient, with many attractions within walking distance. The abundance of nearby restaurants added to the convenience. The room was of a decent size and the bed provided a comfortable night's sleep. I particularly appreciated the good amenities, including fluffy towels, and the availability of a laundry room, which is a valuable feature for travelers. The cardio gym met my basic exercise needs, and the service provided by the staff was exceptional. They were incredibly helpful and efficient, ensuring a positive guest experience. However, there were a few downsides. The shower was quite fidgety, making it difficult to find the right temperature, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there were occasional sewage smells in the lift landing on my floor, which was unpleasant. Furthermore, noises from the plumbing and neighboring rooms' doors could often be heard, affecting the overall tranquility of the stay. Despite these minor issues, I appreciate the efforts of the staff and the hotel's amenities. With some improvements in the shower and addressing the odors and noises, Brady Hotels Jones Lane could offer an even more delightful stay for its guests.

I stayed at the Brady Hotel Jones Lane as part of business travel. The check in was lovely, with the reception team providing me with a complimentary train card for use during my stay. The room was very clean, with ample table/wardrobe space to live comfortably for a week. The bed was comfortable and water pressure quite good. The location is not necessarily in the hustle and bustle of the city, but a short walk gets you there. At night there was occasional loud yelling outside on the street, but this seems to be an issue everywhere in the Melbourne CBD at the moment. The sushi restaurant downstairs was delicious, unfortunately the Korean café downstairs had very sporadic hours so I was unable to try, and there is also a breakfast/diner downstairs that serves great comfort food. Would happily stay again.

Greater nicely at reception and check in went very smoothly, wasn't explained how the lift worked with the room key and the smell in the lift was very disgusting. Smelt like sewage and old rubbish. The room itself was nice, little small but had what you needed for an over night stay, it would be nice if the windows were clean so you could see the beautiful view with out spots of dirt all over it. The bedding was filthy and dis not look like the sheets were changed from previous guest! There was skin flakes and hair on top of the sheet, was too late to call reception as we got back to the hotel at 2am. I spoke to reception in the morning and he didn't seem to care to be honest. Just mention he would take it up with house keeping..... Bed was comfy and the shower worked well, really just an average hotel nothing fancy at all.

This hotel is a true 4-star stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful while the room (King bed) was clean and modern. There is a restaurant attached to the lobby and so much within a very short walking distance. Shout out to Ani who was not only training a new staff member, but did so while providing top tier service.
