Detailed Reviews
Stayed here for 4 days mainly for a business trip. Main thing is that you can't see out the windows as they are covered with a laminate. This makes the apartment a claustrophobic experience.
Positives
- Very clean with good quality furnishings
- Someone loved their bedding or had a friend in the game as all the linen was white and monogrammed. The pillows and bedding was fab. Beautiful fluffy white towels
- Great kitchen for people wanting a longer stay
- Espresso machine good thought the choice of coffee could be improved
Negatives
- PowerPoint deficient - none under the mirror in the bathroom and in the kitchen tucked away in one corner. I had to move the table in order to plug in my computer
- Car park ridiculously small and couldn't get my car in and because it was a hire car (brand new with alerts all around too) I gave up and had to park on the street in 2 hour spots. Also apparently must book ahead which I didn't know until I arrived
- Only one mirror in the place and was in the bathroom so as a female traveling for business I couldn't check out my outfit
- If you are travelling for business and needed good internet access then forget it as the internet was patchy and made working annoyingly slow
- no servicing of the room. Maybe this is typical for a property like this but as traveller didn't think to ask and would have liked an option to have housekeeping come in

The facilities are excellent, comfortable bed, nice shower and living space and good kitchen. No view from window which is painted with a beach scene since the alternative would be looking at the wall of the next building three feet away.
The reason for only four stars is that the promised WiFi arrangements did not work, the phone in the apartment did not work, the receptionist was not at desk when we arrived (had to wait 10 minutes before the door was opened). The reception desk was not manned during stay and the guest services number did not connect due to stay being during a weekend. I found an emergency number from another guest and they kindly helped with another WiFi connection. However, the person they promised to send to handle the phone never arrived during my 4 day stay. There was literally no connection to the outside world within the building and I had to go outside to get connection on my cellphone.
They need to work out how guests can be helped if they need help during their stay as serviced apartments need service!

They have falsely advertised the apartment with what the features of a deluxe apartment which is the same as a standard apartment but they can charge more for a deluxe. They also charged for house keeping which is in addition to lease and housekeeping doesn’t happen.
When you ask to speak to someone to fix your issues that have been paid for no one calls you back.

Response from Bruno Torres, Sales at The Hamptons Apartments - Port Melbourne
Responded 17 Sept 2023
Dear Frank Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at Hamptons Port Melbourne. We acknowledged that there was an error on our website regarding bed size and actually reduced the rate to compensate for this. The website was corrected. The reduced rate was very generous. I also spoke to you and you advised that the issue with the bed was now complete due to the discount provided. We also spoke about the housekeeping and I apologised that it was missed and ensured it would be back on track. The charges were removed. To say "they lie and steal from you" is far from the truth and I suggest you have this Review removed. Yours sincerely Michael Ball Operations Manager Corporate Keys

As a short stay for a weekend getaway the Hamptons was just fantastic.
Fuss free check-in via email or the App, the apartment was clen well apointed and located close to the shops, a plethora or restaurant choices and a 6min walk to the tram to the Melbourne CBD.
Thank you Hamptons team, see you again soon

What a absolute disgrace from poorly trained staff at check in to deceiving apartment pictures. My apartment has frosted glass so as you can’t see the view of a brick wall the wifi reception is extremely poor.. A lot better and cheaper options in Melbourne.

Arrived in cold, rainy Melbourne and this was a great set up. Self catering, plus a laundry in the unit made it very comfortable. Close to shops for supplies and a quick dinner. Easy stroll to the Port when it wasn't raining, and great coffee shop just up the road. Only downside was I couldn't find a blanket to use on the lounge!

Very unpalatable experience during Covid period due to what must be some sort of business policy. I.e. Online, the prices are advertised to go up (by around 80% per week) after 3 months of stay. However, due to fine print and contracts - I was charged $966 per week (instead of $500ish per week) after 2 months of stay - beware. All seems very unscrupulous during Covid lockdown period.
Spoke to a few reps, and they continue to think that their processes are justified.
Room Pros: It was clean and comfortable with working appliances. Initial check in process was helpful.
Room Cons: A little dark; limited crockery; and also expired milk upon arrival.

I booked a room online 4 months before our visit and booked directly ( rather than through expedia or other) as I thought they would respond to my request for a view room. More expensive but I thought better.
The desk agent (lovely girl) only read the email re my request on the day of our arrival and was a bit embarrassed about it. The room was not what we expected ... and we had to upgrade our room so we at least had some natural light.
There are $80 of additional charges on my cc above the cost of the upgrade. Im following up on that .
I love the location and have the resources to stay here plus mor , but would never ever stay here again\ nor recommend it to anyone. Ill look at Adina or Quest before Corporate Keys again.

Never stayed in an apartment before where the windows are painted out so there is no view. Bizarre!!! Little to no on-site parking. Staff had no idea whether we had pre-paid or not, could not answer basic questions. Absolutely could not recommend
