Stayed 4 nights in the Deluxe King Suit with Spa on the 9th floor. Plenty of room, but not huge. Being in Melbourne CBD very good value for the price. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Check in was quick and the staff very friendly and helpful. Great choice for location and 5min walk or less to plenty of public transport...

Not impressed. Black hair all through the spa and even on the bathroom walls. Stuck to the soap when we tried to clean the spa before we used it. Only a small spa too which was disappointing since the room was almost $40 dearer because it had a spa. What looks like a blood splatter on the curtain. Could be...

We had an overnight stay recently at this hotel, and were very happy with the position of the hotel, and the service. The decor of the room was dated, and somewhat shabby, however the kingsize bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. The bathroom is a good size, however the room itself is rather small; but considering the...

Short business trip in city location. Great for access to Central Melbourne. Simple room layout, quiet rooms. Excellent block out curtains for daytime sleeping if needed. Represent good value at the price.

Love this place, so close to everything, quiet, perfect. Step straight out into bustling cafés, better breakfast than the more well known lanes. Concierge was lovely, arriving late staff were very nice.

This hotel is down a laneway and has some interesting places to eat at street level. It is in a very good location. Our room looked out on another building with office windows. Our room was quite reasonable for what we paid, but a leather chair was really badly worn and we hid it under the desk and didn't use...

My partner & i did a package deal with flights & accommodation to coincide with his birthday in May 2015. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful and the room cleaning service was excellent. We had no problem booking in or out. The breakfast which was included in the...

LOVED our week at 353, right in the middle of Melbourne city, amazing coffee shops (try Cafenatics!!) right at the doors to the hotel, super quiet rooms and helpful knowledgeable hotel staff. The chef on at breakfast each day was exceptional - I only wish I could remember his name! Nothing was too much trouble and he clearly loves his...

My friend and I stayed at this hotel in May 2015, we had stayed at this hotel at the same time last year. Nothing much has changed, the furniture a little more worn than what it was last year but still a very comfortable hotel. Great location as mentioned in a previous review of this hotel. We paid $300 for...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
