Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

MarriottBonvoy Elite: full recognition--free breakfast. room uograde, late checkout, welcome drink, and more. Location: Tram 70/86/Circle Lines to CBD stop in front of the hotel. Exceptional staff. Thank you Estefania, Felicia, and Jolene (Front Office); Chef Sumit, Mineli, Yohan, and Harvey (Restaurant team); and Nabin (housekeeping). Food: buffet breakfast provides various healthy choices (daily variety could have been improved).

Quiet and Clean. But: bar/alcohol push is tacky and over the top. No luggage stands, no dressers...get down on your hands and knees. Free CBD tram useful, but expect a 20 to 50 ride to the Center. The retail development across the street dying. Dockside nearby fine!

Response from Four Points Docklands, General Manager at Four Points By Sheraton Melbourne Docklands
Responded 6 days ago
Dear jesseMN, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to provide us with insights from your recent visit, which was disappointing to learn that your experience at our bar was not the best and that the lack of a luggage stand and dresser made it inconvenient for you. However, I am glad that you found the rooms to be clean and quiet, and that the hotels location allows us to take advantage of the free tram into the city! I do hope that you would consider staying with us again in the future should your travels bring you back to the area, and please do let me know! Regards, Hafiq Johari Director of Operations

Good location just off the CBD. Dinner and breakfast were ok although the room is somewhat soulless. All the staff were friendly and trying hard. Our room was clean and a good size but the decoration is defiantly style over substance. The bathroom has gray walls and ceiling, with small down lighters, it’s so gloomy even having a shave let alone my wife doing her makeup was difficult. The basin is small and there is only a narrow ledge down one side for shower bags. It needs a proper shelf on the wall. The only place to put your case is the bottom of the wardrobe so you have to be down on on your knees to get anything out. There is nowhere else to put other luggage than the floor. The plug for a hairdryer isn’t near enough to the mirror (unforgivable in a new hotel). There is a large drawer which fell out on me as it dosn’t spear to have any runners. Whoever designed these rooms never stayed in one. We won’t be back given the choice in the area.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a good sized room, a large comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning and a view over the city to the north. Staff were friendly. We paid extra for breakfast which was very good, with a large range of hot and cold items. The hotel is well located in Docklands with plenty of restaurants around, a shopping centre opposite and a tram stop outside.

I was here for the Australian open tennis. This hotel is in a great location, directly outside is the tram stop. Trams are free in the city centre. One tram goes in a loop around the city and the other 2 go outside the city, with one going past the venue for the tennis. As the trams start here you can always get a seat. The hotel is very nice and the buffet breakfast is lovely. I wasn’t impressed with the dinner menu though, nothing appealed to me but it didn’t matter as I wasn’t really here for dinner time. Room was nice and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Next time I come to Melbourne I will stay here again.

This hotel is very new with holiday and residential guests. The lobby and bar area is very small. It does have an outdoor roof top pool and excellent gym facilities including a sauna. The location is excellent with the circle tram and other tram lines just outside the door. There is also a shopping complex across the road. Towards the back there are a number of food venues including a brewery. This is the old location for boarding the Melbourne Wheel/ eye. Woolworths is also a block away. A short walk behind the hotel is the waterfront where you can take a short cut into the city/ Marvel Stadium. There are also a number of very nice restaurants. There are no porters with this hotel, however the hotel will assist. I have not hesitations in recommending this hotel.

We loved this hotel and will definitely be back to stay here again. The room was nice, very clean and with a great view. The buffet breakfast had a large variety of food. The free tram is right out the front and a shopping precinct is across the road with some nice shops and restaurants.

Hotel is based in the new Docklands area of Melbourne. There were regular free trams that allowed you access to all areas of Melbourne. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food. Room was spotless but couldn’t find a stand for our suitcase. Lights were fun as there was a master switch by the side of the bed that needed to be turned on before any lights would come on.

I stayed here for my first visit and Melbourne and didn"t know what to expect. The hotel is right across the District mall and the free tram ride within docklands. My view from the 2 rooms I stayed were amazing. Check in was fast, please note that there is a $1aud deposit on your card upon checkin. The bar/resto is also in the ground floor if you want to have drinks. The receptionists were all accomodating and since Im out in the weekend, I left my luggages in the concierge at no cost. The rooms were spavious given that I have 2 luggages plus 1 that I bought in the mall right across. The room has really nice views of the docklands and the ferris wheel. In room dining was also great. Cleaning of the room takes time and I will have to call housekeeping several times to have my room cleaned before leaving for work in the morning and returning in the afternoon. By 3pm my room wasnt cleaned yet and there was a time where I had to wait in the reception to get it cleaned. Cleaning was impecaable with minor dust in the headboards that you can easily clean with wipes. One request though is they could put in a luggage rack in their rooms cos its hard to place it in the closet then take it out everytime you need something. Bathrobes is also a must. There is a parking area across the street where you can pay at the hotel but seems that they are unable to track this and you will have to show proof of payment everytime. Not sure how their system works but keeps on asking for it everyday. What I love about this place is its proximity to the District mall- when you want to go for shopping or food choice (mall closes at 5pm I believe) but the food court until 8pm. You can also take a walk in the Docklands at the back of the hotel and just enjoy the view and quiet time. There are few restaurants surviving in the area but Im still glad its peaceful out there without the crowds. I enjoyed my afternoon walking. Marvel Stadium is also within walking reach. CBD is an uber away and less than 10 mins. The other Marriott Hotel is in the same area but Four points have all the advantage of proximity and great views for less price. Will definitely stay in this hotel again! Good job to everyone!

Amazing place to stay! The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and lots of little extras that made it nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was Devine. Loved that you could catch the free tram right outside the door. Great restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
