Wow! From check in to check out. This is a boutique, friendly, centrally located hotel with less than 150 rooms and 3 fast lifts. Industrial, chic, modern and very clean. Check-in was very simple. Towels are huge and fluffy, Nespresso machines in the rooms, comfy beds, excellent water pressure in the showers, timber floors with small rugs on either sides of the bed, double (maybe triple) glazed windows. Excellent and fast wifi. The deluxe rooms are huge. The decor in the public areas was fun. A wall made of stacked books, another wall by the lift decorated with different size and styles of silver trays. Even the decor in the lifts was great. If breakfast is included as ours was, it is a la carte. Better than buffet. You have a choice of cold pressed juices plus coffee (specialty ones are included) and a hot or cold breakfast choice from the menu. If you are lucky enough to be served by the lovely Ana, she will remember whether or not you like ice in your juice, what your dietary needs are, and whether or not you like sultanas. This is service! I've been to Melbourne a lot and stayed in most of the 4-5* hotels but QT Melbourne does stand out! I will be back!!!

Excellent hotel in a perfect location to access everything the lovely city has to offer. Close to Yarra river and major sporting venues MCG, Rod Laver etc. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. We were very grateful to the lovely receptionist who arranged for our room to be available when we arrived early from the UK. The hotel room and decor is beautiful. The breakfast was very tasty although the set menu was limited. The rooftop bar is amazing. It can get busy at the weekend but this adds to the atmosphere. Would highly recommend this hotel and hopefully will return one day. Thank you 🙏

The QT has absolutely become my 'go-to' when staying on Melbourne. From the minute you walk through the doors, you feel like you are staying somewhere different to your usual dull and basic hotel. The staff are excellent, the rooms are the perfect size, the beds are comfortable, and the roof-top bar is a great vantage point for spying on the rest of the city. The wine menu is gorgeous and the cocktails never disappoint. The location is perfect for everything! The QT Melbourne signature scent is the first thing you notice and the last thing you take with you when you go.

Recently had an extended stay at QT Melbourne which provided me with very good and unique to observe all the hotels inner workings. Honourable mention must go to Gina at reception who is the perfect QT ambassador. Professional, personable and optimal level of client service which all 5 star hotels should aspire to. Having travelled extensively for work globally staying in 5 star hotels, I feel in a very informed position to provide feedback on the house keeping services at the hotel and it would be remiss of me not to mention and highly praise the work of Morina in housekeeping. Morina and her work were a highlight of our stay. Morina has highest levels of professionalism and work ethic and nothing was ever too much trouble. Morina is efficient and highly skilled in her work and her attention to detail is impeccable. The room was consistently spotless to the highest standards at all times and she is extraordinarily perceptive in her detail and approach to her work. Morina is a credit to the QT hotel and her work is global standard.

QT Melbourne is EASILY the best hotel stay i’ve ever experienced. As soon as you walk into the foyer you’re greeted with friendly faces and a gorgeous smell, not to mention the thoughtfully designed furnishings, that decorate each and every area of the establishment. The staff are all so kind and friendly, making you feel welcome and comfortable within seconds of walking in. The rooms are so inviting and cosy, immediately creating a relaxing and calming space. The shower is fitted with both a regular shower head and a rainfall fitting too, not to mention the Kevin Murphy products included in the stay, as well as the Dyson hairdryer. It was honestly the best nights sleep i’ve had, on the fluffiest pillows and softest bed. when I next come back to Melbourne I will absolutely be booking with QT, Definitely the best value for money i’ve experienced in Melbourne.

We were an older couple on vacation. Picked QT Melbourne as our hotel because of the many positive reviews, and its excellent location at the edge of Chinatown, right downtown. In general, our room did not disappoint. It was very clean, large, very modern, nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and other good facilities. The staff that checked us in were very pleasant and helpful.
But: in the end, we were put off by the hotel's relentless attempt to be super-hip and appeal to a much younger crowd. In particular, the presence of loud, thumping rock music in every public place — the lobby, the hallways, the elevators — seemed terribly unnecessary, and in the end, quite annoying. Fortunately it was inaudible in the room itself. Aspects of the room also reflectee this esthetic, and some were almost comical: the light switches that are almost invisible black-on-black buttons on panels by the bed, with no labels. It took us quite a while to figure out how to get the room dark in the evening, since different lights were controled by the left and right panels over the bed. Then there was the feature that must be the hotel's main money-maker: a popular rooftop bar that has 20-somethings lining up each weekend night, staggering in and out of the elevators (why not give them a dedicated express elevator?) — and, most annoying, a security guard checking that we were guests each time we entered in the evenings, so we wouldn't be routed to the entry line for the bar.
None of this marred our visit to wonderful Melbourne, and (as I said) the room was clean and pleasant. But the hotel clearly does not see the likes of us as their primary customer base, and we would try a different location on a future visit.

I have spent last two days in a business conference in QT. The hotel is very modern and rooms have a very sleek design. I particularly love the leather chaise-longue and the bathroom design all in black - Reception staff were very attentive and even prepared a surprise with balloons and a very nice card because they found out it was my birthday. I really appreciated being away from home and having a long working day. They also gave me very good tips to visit some places on the free morning I had before the conference started. A 10/10 for them.
There is a Nespresso coffee machine that for me being a coffee lover was a very nice touch.
Shower was big, toiletries are of a good quality and there are robes to warm you up in the cold Melbourne nights. There is even a dyson hairdryer (considering buying one after trying it :))
One thing I missed in the room were disposable slippers. The floor was cold and it is very common to have them in nearly all hotels. Also there was not a price list for the minibar and there is not even a bottle of complimentary water as I found out at checkout. I used a bottle and was charged for it. The breakfast is not buffet, you have a choice of a hot dish and 1 coffee or tea. The hot dish was very well prepared and delicious. It would be a nice touch if you could order a second coffee without being charged for it.

Spent 2 wonderful nights here for our anniversary. Both returning customers and it didn’t disappoint again. Beds were so comfortable, double glazed windows blocked out the street noise and shower with the dumper was just divine.
Bathroom products were high end and the Dyson hair dryer was a lovely touch. We paid extra for the breakfast and we’re glad we did and there were plenty of options. Do yourself a favour and visit the roof top bar too!

We stayed for 3 nights in November with our young son. We found night shift staff were not overly helpful upon arrival and the travel cot had not been set up in our room despite requesting this several weeks in advance. The taxi included in the deal we booked was rather old and didn't feel overly safe. However, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the decor of the whole hotel and funky lifts. The room was very quiet and we liked the central location of the hotel as its close to everything. Staff on checkout were extremely helpful and friendly. We didn't get to make use of the bar but did quickly check it out and it looked fantastic.

Yes - have used it a couple of times mate. $65 bucks, come and go as you like, and they looked after it even after we'd check out until we were ready to go. A little steep if you're just going to park and leave it there, but good if you'll be coming and going.
Im not sure how many- but the suite we booked had a fantastic tub. Check the QT website direct and when you choose your room, you will see the list of facilities for that room.
