Great location in the centre of Melbourne & conveniently located. Unfortunately though it was extremely noisy with no sound proofing compared to other hotels I've stayed in that area. Would avoid staying there on a weekend - we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night & didn't get a good night's sleep either night. There was also a window open...

Very good value for money. The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of Little Bourke Street, very close to the mall and it is on the same block as Hardware Lane. I booked this hotel purely for the location - as someone who had never been to Melbourne before and was travelling on their own I found this location...

Sadly despite its great location, this hotel feels unloved and uncared for. I had a room that looked out on little Bourke and so I got all the noise of the night life. The windows were ill fitting, the damage from water leaks had not been remedied, there were very few wall sockets and the one in the kitchen had...

It's nigh on impossible to get a reasonably priced hotel room in Melbourne. Even more impossible on a weekend... But I digress. This hotel tucked away on Little Bourke St is brilliantly positioned near restaurants, shopping and transport. It has a very small street level frontage and a very cramped reception area however once upstairs things are much broader. The...

I found that the hotel was in a great location, close to everything. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The room itself was nice and clean and had a decent view over the rooftops of the neighbouring buildings.

Nice welcome at reception, can arrange parking at $22 per day. Bearing in mind the phenomenally good position of the hotel that's not bad. As we were only doing a stopover, I paid $8 for overnight parking but any time after 6am was charged at $23 per hr. Needless to say we left early. There are great bars and eateries...

Great location, clean and comfortable. If you are happy with no frills accommodation this is great value in a good location, although it can be a little noisy as it is right in the heart of the CBD, next to Hardware Lane. Small kitchenette and tea and coffee (coffee mugs would be appreciated), bathroom decent and bed comfortable. The lift...

We enjoyed an overnight stay, the central location was perfect. There are some lovely eateries close by and public transport is only a short walk away. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff were pleasant.

I have stayed here twice in the past few weeks for different events in the city, both times just for a night. It is very basic, so don't expect too much. The price was super cheap as I only really needed a bed to sleep in and a shower in the morning so it suited my needs fine. I wouldn't...

If you after a basic budget hotel this is it. The beds are super comfy, the rooms are just average. The staff at leo pacific or yti are always willinging to help which is great! Hotel owners really just need to revamp the hotel rooms and the outside.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
