Grand Vue is a little pocket of paradise in Battery Point! The beautifully stylised rooms are beyond homey and comfortable, and Ash, the wonderhost, made our stay so perfect. He not only gave great recommendations for bars and restaurants, but sent us on some fabulous little excursions and walks around Hobart which we never would have known about. The breakfasts had in the grand dining room overlooking the Derwent were beautiful, and the home made cakes for afternoon tea such a lovely little touch. We will be back to Grand Vue!

Our 3 night stay at Grande Vue was absolutely sublime. The most beautiful heritage mansion-hotel, in the most wonderful location. Furnished with old world charm and character with a fresh, stylish feel - extremely clean and cared for, and wonderfully welcoming with everything you need provided. Choose to sit in the gorgeous garden and terrace, or in the lovely sitting rooms. The views were breathtaking, both of the harbour and surrounding hills. The location is safe and close to cafes, restaurants, and it was such a pleasure to stroll around heritage Battery Point. Walking distance to the city, markets and more. The owners and staff (Ricardo) were delightful – friendly, available when needed, generously providing delicious treats for all to share. They have created a truly wonderful place, where you feel at home but also somewhere extremely special.

I was truly amazed at how wonderful this place was to stay. It is a lovingly restored historic building in Battery Point handy to all the little cafes and restaurants of Battery Point as well as walking distance to Salamanca Place and the city piers. The venue's interior was exquisite, the owner's hospitality was second to none and the view of the harbour and city was superb. I would highly recommend this as a place for any couple to stay - we loved it!

The Grand Vue was an absolute gem, filled with character and charm. The interiors are beautifully curated, blending timeless elegance with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. There were thoughtful touches throughout - from personalised welcome notes to French music playing on the stereo. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a well-stocked larder and espresso coffee; then fresh homemade baked goods on offer in the afternoon... all with that view from the dining room! This boutique hotel is really a stand out. Highly recommend for a comfortable, unique and memorable stay.

As soon as you walk in the front gate you know it is going to be exquisite. Fresh flowers greet you in the foyer and in your bedroom. There is freshly baked cake to help yourself to in the kitchen as well as all sorts of breakfast foods with lovely bread from Jackman mcross. The view from room 5 over sandy bay Marina and Battery Point houses to the casino and stretching to the Mountain on the right is stunning and a perfect spot to have a bubbly and a food platter which we brought with us. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the spa has a seriously heavy duty setting which is great for sore muscles. There is a decent amount of milk in the room and a coffee maker and all sorts of other thoughtful facilities. Everything is of the highest quality. There is lovely artwork in the house and beautiful furniture with a gas fire in one sitting room and complementary port in the other. This is a high-class establishment and I fully intend to stay again.

Had a wonderful two nights at The Grande Vue . The room was immaculate and comfortable. Everything has been carefully considered and thought of. The self serve breakfast in the beautifully decorated kitchen and dining room was delicious with lots of home made touches such as fruit compote and quiche. Then there is freshly made cakes for afternoon tea available for guests as well . Will definitely be back

We found Grand Vue to be the perfect place to stay in Hobart. We enjoyed a relaxed breakfast overlooking the water from the breakfast room. Parking on the street was easy and we found driving to nearby towns and distilleries a breeze. The restaurants nearby are a short walk with delicious food… especially the Italian. Our room was very comfortable with an amazing spa bath. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to Grand Vue. Many thanks to Ash and Riccardo for making our stay a warm and welcoming experience.

We adored our stay at Grande Vue and will definitely return here when we come back to Hobart. Ash and the team present an exquisite property with meticulous attention to detail, unparalleled furnishings, in a gorgeous neighbourhood close to everything we needed. And their service was impeccable; in addition to a daily breakfast, they even provided delicious afternoon tea every day which we looked forward to. One day when we came back too late for afternoon tea but Ash was thoughtful to put aside a couple of pieces of cake for us so we didn’t miss out. Our room was stunning, and the view was the hero from both our room and the bathroom. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Love love loved Grande Vue.

My wife and I travelled to the highly recommended Battery Point area to have peace and quiet while only being a short walk from all the great attractions that Hobart has to offer.
Hampden Road, Salamanca and a plethora of restaurants were minutes away on foot.
We could not be happier with the gem we found in the Grande Vue Hotel. The peaceful location and views that stretched from Wrest Point around to the harbour bridge were sublime.
Ashley and his team were so welcoming and the hotel itself was one of grandeur, privacy and comfort.
Everything from the inside out was immaculately kept.
An extra little touch of brilliance was the availability of the fully stocked kitchen with provisions for breakfast and light snacks throughout the day.
We had freshly baked muffins, cake and slice on offer everyday. The whole experience was lovely.
We already want to go back to stay again. There is simply nowhere else in Battery Point area that could top Grande Vue.

Hi, Breakfast is extra to room costs. Breakfast was sufficient for the two of us, but if choose outside options, you are five minutes from Battery Point shops and ten minutes maximum walking from Salamanca Place.
Yes, free Wifi was available in the rooms. At least it was in the room in which we stayed of the second floor. I see no reason why it wouldn't have been available in the other rooms.
