My partner and I stayed at Werndee apartments for a much needed break. We booked Wren Cottage - an accessible unit - it was the only one available at the time. Wren Cottage was perfect. Situated at the rear of the (stunning) 1901 built mansion, was tucked away, quiet and private. The unit had everything we needed; functional kitchenette, comfortable sitting/dinning and large sleeping area. We also had our own covered in outdoor area that enabled us to enjoy evening meals. The location is the big plus. North Hobart is eclectic, buzzing without being pretentious. The State Cinema, a must visit, restaurants, stunning coffee are all a glorious walk away. Daci&Daci bakery is a short stroll as is Hill Street grocery store. Hobart CBD can also be accessed on foot. Robyn, the host, is very friendly and made us feel welcome without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope we get a chance to stay again. Perhaps in one of the rooms in the main house which provide stunning views across the Derwent.…

Seamless booking through Qantas hotels - however, the host and business owner Robyn contacted us by email to confirm as well as making sure we had little finishing touches like milk specific to our tastes in the fridge for our arrival. Accessible, beautifully maintained and clean apartments with lovely furnishings and layout. Fully self contained apartments, with a nice outside sitting area as well as off street parking. The gardens were a gorgeous touch. It felt like a home away from home - I couldn’t speak more highly of the accomodation or Robyn, the owner.

I stayed two nights in the very comfy and cosy Wren Cottage with Midge my Silky Terrier. The king size bed was great and the electric blanket welcome with the cooler May nights. The bathroom was large and well appointed with good quality towels. The kitchenette had all the essentials for my breakfast. Robyn was a considerate host even asking if I preferred full cream or low fat milk. I look forward to returning!

I have just returned from a 5 night stay in the Wren Cottage. The cottage is delightful. Furnished beautifully with many references to the wren bird of course. It had everything I need. Robyn is a perfect host. I highly recommend the $15 pre-ordered 3 course takeaway meals from Jean Pascal Pattiserie in New Town. They also deliver for an extra $5. The cottage is tucked away in a quiet location and is cosy, with reverse cycle cooling, warm bedding and electric blankets. There are also electric recliners for relaxing in front of the TV. The location is about 3kms north of the Hobart waterfront. A great daily walk. There are also several buses that will take you from the CBD for $3.50 (full fare) each way. Bus Stop 8 or 9 are the closest. There are lots of terrific restaurants and cafes in Elizabeth St which is located a very short walk from Werndee. The State Cinema in Elizabeth St is gorgeous. I watched 2 movies, one in the somewhat original Cinema 1 and the other in the 'screening room', a room with 3 full length glass walls and comfy wide leather lounges (with cushions). I enjoyed my stay in Hobart and the accommodation was so wonderful that I have booked another much longer stay in August. Next stay will also be at Werndee however in the Grace Apartment. Do yourself a favour, Skip the CBD stay and wander 3kms north and stay at one of the properties on offer at Werndee. You'll be so grateful that you did.…

Thank you Linda , you were the perfect guest too :) I'm sure you'll enjoy our lovely Grace apartment even more , well worth the extra dollars for all day sunshine and views, separate bedroom and lots of light and space. Having said that , Wren cottage is a cute and cosy with its 100 year old charm and character, with the most comfortable recliners and wonderful latex-topped king bed. This is my second stay at Werndee. Just as good as the first. Very comfortable, everything provided that you could want. Very close to bus down to the cbd, or a pleasant walk. Beautiful views over Hobart, and the heritage property.

Stayed here for seven days when spouse hospitalised. Accommodation was excellent in everything; furnishing, comfortable bed, quality bed linen & bathroom supplies, curtains which kept rooms dark & covered windows, warm & clean. Kitchen was wonderfully equipped with equipment which was efficient. Close to St Vincent’s hospital, bus transport to CBD close by, short walk to churches & cafes. A blind/curtain over one underaged window would be appreciated. Host most helpful & pleasant person.

We stayed in the front villa from 19 December 2019 to 23 December 2019. Everything about the premises exceeded our expectation: the comfort, cleanliness, facilities (felt like home, many thoughtful things are included such as gladwrap,spices etc) even the Wifi was very good too. Highly recommended place to stay!

Robyn is an amazing host and has lovely taste.The apartment (GRACE) was wonderful. It is a one bedroom apartment but is the most spacious apartment I have stayed in. Everything is of very high quality. Everything you could possibly need is provided, and I counted a total of 7 areas where you could sit and admire the beautiful views out over Hobart. There is also a lovely garden to wander in. An exceptional place to stay, and I will return.

We were in a one-bedroom studio apartment which was cosy and comfortable. Hostess very welcoming and friendly. Home made jam provided was a lovely touch and very tasty. Handy to grocery store and cafe and within walking distance to the high street. Convenient location for getting around Hobart and public transport close by.

We spent four nights in the one-bedroom Grace apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is private, spacious, sunny and beautifully furnished, in the lovely gardens of historic "Werndee". There are great restaurants and a fresh food shop in the immediate vicinity and the area gives easy access to the CBD. The owner, Robyn, is welcoming and helpful. We hope to return.
