The Staff were very helpful and communicated well prior to my arrival and during my stay. To top it off I thought the price was very reasonable
We booked a premium apartment with wheelchair access. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The bathroom has a great layout for access and has plenty of cupboard space and mirrors.
The bed was soft and comfortable. The kitchen space had a well-stocked minibar with lots of Tasmanian produce for a reasonable price. The outlook onto the park behind the accommodation was also pleasant.
We found the apartment quiet and very, very convenient. Had breakfast at Farzi, the cafe below, and thoroughly enjoyed this too. Fantastic coffee and menu choices.
We would definitely stay here again!
Booking in for 5 nights at the Salamanca Wharf Hotel was perfect for us. Gorgeous well-appointed apartment in a central location that was an easy walking distance to everything Hobart has to offer. Close to Constitution Dock to see the yachts coming in, MONA ferry, heaps of restaurants and cafes, Salamanca markets on Saturday, and Taste of Tasmania food festival right on our doorstep. Plus we could see the NYE fireworks from our balcony (in pjs).
We had a one bedroom apartment. Very comfy bed and adequate wardrobe space, bathroom had plenty of bench and cupboard space, good quality shower and toiletries plus a washing machine. Kitchen/living area was perfect for us - fully stocked minibar very reasonably priced, dishwasher, plunger coffee and teas.
Definitely would stay again. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Building has good security.
TIP - skip the restaurant. Salamanca Wharf Hotel does not own the restaurant on the ground floor but our package included breakfast hence eating there. Our food was truly dreadful. My porridge one day was lukewarm soupy milk with some oats. Sent it back and was told no other customer had complained before. Really? Avoid.
What we paid for and what we got was unacceptable !!!!!! King premium suite with washer/drier chosen as we had been traveling for two weeks prior so wanted to clean our clothes
What we got was a large, cold dark room with wheelchair access for disabled people
No washer/drier, bathroom was dangerous with totally wet floors when the shower was used including the toilet being in the same room. Bitterly disappointed !!!
And we asked to change to the room we paid for but were told not available!!!!!!! We were Offered Maybe a bottle of sparkling wine to compensate. Not appropriate at a $1075.00 for 3night
We booked a premium King with washer and dryer. We got a room designed for disabled designed for showering in a wheelchair, extremely slippery floor, no washer dryer. Approached the receptionist and was given all the usual excuses but was told we would be moved next day. Alas in the morning told that nothing available they had given them all to a group booking. We had booked two premium kings as we were travelling with friends. The room they got was what we booked. The receptionist was polite to start with but soon become very defensive when questioned. Not a nice experience. Adjoining cafe good for breakfast.
Absolutely enjoyed our two weeks in Tasmania and Hobart is a beautiful city.
Great location at the end of Salamanca with short walk back into town. Away from the noise of the bars and restaurants. We arrived early but were able to park the car in the stacker carpark (very cool) and then go out for the day.
I had a bad feeling the moment I opened the door. We pulled the curtains back and in front is a stone and concrete wall. We had to stand against the window to see sky. I went down to reception and said we couldn’t stay in the room. I was told they don’t advertise views. I said I did know that when I booked but looking into a solid wall was just not ok. The receptionist was super nice and said we could be moved tomorrow, just check at 10.
We went down at 10 the following morning. The new room was ready and we could move straight away. Sometimes things do turn out. Two floors up with sky, trees and fresh air.
The rooms themselves are really nice. Kitchenette, living room, huge bathroom with nice products and big fluffy towels. Cheap minibar. Lovely staff. If you have a car any bigger then a medium SUV you won't be able to use the stacker.
Would we stay again? If we were able to request a room facing out onto the street, or on level 3 at the back, absolutely but the risk of staying on level one or two at the back would make us think twice.

5 min walk to the market on Saturday, but just far enough to escape the parking hassle.
The cafe underneath provided a great start to the day and listened when we have specific food requirements.
The reception and household staff we very helpful and friendly.
We could not fault the place, although we would have liked firmer pillows (but that is just personal choice - my wife loved them).
Highly recommend.

I purchased a food package and only 50% was honoured, the segment of reimbursement they did follow through with was an odd amount and less than the value promised.
Staff were really friendly and helped arrange luggage to be moved when we booked a different room for an afternoon stay before a night flight .
Lots of restaurants around and the Mona ferry is 5 minutes away , city is a 15 minute walk as well and battery point around the corner . There is on site parking but for smaller cars .
