Detailed Reviews
Salamanca Terraces is a fantastic location. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment - very large bedrooms, bathroom and separate laundry on top levels, open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room on lower floor with separate toilet. Everything you could need, very clean. We were more than happy here and would definitely stay again. Great place and you cannot beat the location- restaurants next door and markets 1 minute away on Saturday.
Tip: check-in is as Lenna which is just across the road and up a little but the hill is steep, if there are a few people I would recommend sending one person to check in and leave the others outside the Salamanca Terraces. Great accommodation, enjoy.

This studio was perfect. I was concerned it may be a bit small for two friends who had never stayed together before. I was amazed at how big this Studio was, with plenty of room that meant we weren't falling over ourselves. Location was perfect, with accessible parking and an easy walk down to Salamanca and the waterfront and just a bit further into the city. With views of Mt Wellington, we were happy not to be looking out at roof tops. The beds were very comfortable, and it was lovely to return every evening to have had housekeeping visit and replace milk and bathroom products. The room was private, with only a little noise coming from other units. Staff were very friendly, and I was very happy to receive a bottle of wine and treated to an amazing breakfast for my Birthday.
I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights - Couldn’t have chosen a better place. I read reviews prior to staying here and based on those I hoped to have room 502 (Penthouse) and we did. Very clean, excellent parking, centrally located so we walked down the piers each night for dinner after spending long days exploring. Large wrap around balcony with 2 ranch sliders one off the living room and one off the bedroom both sides with a nice little table and chairs so you can sit and take in the view. Full Kitchen, easy to self cater if needed and the washer dryer is also very convenient. Loved this place and will definitely return when we visit again :)

Everything was great, from start to finish.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at the Lenna hotel just up the road, where the property is managed from. Couldn't have been more accommodating when we arrived late and frazzled looking for a room, after our booking at another place down the road went awry.
The location is perfect for exploring Salamanca Place and the waterfront, but tucked away from the busiest and noisiest parts.
We had a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment, with basic but comfortable furnishing and really thorough housekeeping staff who went above and beyond.

We booked a one bedroom apartment, which is separate but part of the Lenna hotel complex. Great secure on site parking. The apartment is fully air conditioned and well equipped with everything you need, including a washer/ dryer and dishwasher. Big comfy king bed, separate lounge and kitchen, big bathroom. 100 metres to the markets! 3 local restaurants provide meals to your door charged back to your room. Reception is at Lennas hotel, and the apartment is just across the road, very private and quiet. Reasonably priced. All staff were professional and friendly. Great spot to base yourself for a trip to Hobart.

We have just spent4 nights here in a one bedroom apartment and couldn’t have been happier. We had originally booked the associated Salamanca Suites which are just across the road (both right in Salamanca Place), but renovations are being undertaken there and a few weeks ago the property’s management contacted us and offered the alternative.
There is fee off street parking and the rooms are everything you really want or need, including a good kitchen set-up and laundry. We had a balcony that faced east and you could see the Derwent River.
Everything work (the lift is painfully slow) and spotlessly clean. The housekeeping team were friendly & helpful. If I was heading back to Hobart, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The penthouse 502, was the best stay we have had in a while.
The apartment was fresh and clean the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in outside of my home. Salamanca Market is right outside your door as is the waterfront. Just park your car in the secure parking on-site and you can leave it there as you make your way around the area. Our stay at the terraces was great.
P.S the balcony is awesome you will not want to leave it.

Last minute trip to Tassie and picked up this suite same day that we were flying down. Very central to where we wanted to be. Check in across the road at the Lenna of Hobart Hotel (which owns the Salamance Terraces) was quick and staff member provided an informative overview of our accommodation. Wasn't cheap but given it was coming into New Years eve and the back end of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race, it wasn't surprising. Very clean, well set out and we spoke to the cleaning staff casually on a few occasions - and they were very lovely. New Years day, with not much open we went to the Lenna Hotel for breakfast with a continental option, which was very good or pay a bit more for a cooked breakfast.

The location was great and the staff was friendly - absolutely no complaints there. The apartment itself was a different story - there was food between the couch cushions; it was very dusty; I found someone’s bra lying underneath the chair in the bedroom; the window in the living room can’t be opened; I was not amused. In terms of kitchen items, I missed a few basic things such as a bread knife, paper towels, salt, pepper, and oil. There is free onsite parking and wi-fi, and the washer/dryer and sachet of laundry powder came in handy. I wouldn’t stay there again, or recommend it without warning.

My son and I stayed in Room 504 in Salamanca Terraces. The location was great. We attended the last Saturday Christmas Markets. Reception had recommended Blue Eye for our first night for dinner and could not move my son off the crayfish croquettes for entree. Reception were brilliant with their assistance on places to eat and really helpful in general. I had messed up my dates and they easily moved us into what is referred to as a semi-penthouse on same floor - Room 501. Only difference being a wrap around balcony and some additional food preparation items.
My son and I loved Room 504 - we were set up with our requested 2 singles on arrival in the bedroom area with loads of space for hanging my clothes and backpacks etc. Lounge area was large with a small table n chairs to sit 4 and TV (another TV in the bedroom). We had water glimpses from the window in the lounge room - you could see some of the 100 cruise ships that visit Hobart harbour every year. There is also a small room dedicated for a washing machine, a hanging rack and laundry sink. As you know travelling with kids it is fab to run a few loads of washing. It was a good base for us to explore Hobart and go on our trips to Bruny Island, MONA and the harbour, Battery Point is a very historic area in Hobart and really worth walking around this area.
I could easily walk up to Myer or Woolworths and do a little shop or buy some additional Xmas paper.
