We paid 36 aud for a dorm room and we can't sleep ! Horrible noise.. street and operating work on the street. The window don't stop anything. We choose this one for the location and because it was a YHA but I think have a look at another one.

I stayed here as part of a tour package deal, shared 4 bed dorm for 3 nights. The one positive is friendly staff. The negatives are many ... 1. The kitchen has one sink, two kettles, two tosters, one set of four hotplates, two fridges, and six places to sit. This is to serve over 100 guests!! You cannot cook...

I stayed in single rooms, with and without ensuite. Ensuite room small but as good as any motel with fridge and flat screen TV. Location is perfect one block from waterfront, 2 blocks from Elizabeth St Mall. Only downsides are no lift, so lots of stairs to upper floors and noise of pedestrian crossing warning sounds at nearby crossroad are...

My niece and friend have come to visit so I booked a family room in the yha so that we could be right there in Hobart. Just opposite Tmag and in Argyle Street you can be on the waterfront in 5 or in the mall just as soon as. The room has double bed and two bunk beds. Small but...

We paid for an ensuite room, which was comfortable for a week, though basic. No aircon (which made a summer stay unpleasant). Noisy street. Dodgy shower. Kitchen too small to use, and no opportunities to meet other travelers- very limited communal space. But close to town, lovely walk to the docks, and the staff were WONDERFUL. very kind and helpful...

Disappointing. Smelly, unclean room that backs on to the main street and is extremely loud. Bathroom large but not clean - wet towels and hair all over the floor. Kitchen small, one table with 6 chairs to service the many guests. Felt sorry for a young man who broke a glass and no broom to sweep up. The caretaker was...

Inconveniences include: no parking, small kitchen, random cleaning hours of the kitchen, smelly rooms, and a tendency to attract the older crowd. Zero opportunities to socialise Positives? Very nice staff, decent facilities and central location

4 of us had booked for 2 x Twin Private Rooms (via a local travel group) but we were allocated different types of room. Ours came with our own shower, fridge, cupboard etc. Whereas my other 2 friends had none of those. They had to share the shower facilities with others. No elevator so be prepared to lug your heavy...

The hostel offers basic accommodation, clean enough and comfortable for a backpacker. The staff was friendly, but there's no atmosphere or communal spaces. Good location in the middle of Hobart though. As one of the only hostels I've seen in Tasmania there's free wifi all through the accommodation.

The location fit my schedule: easy shuttle ride from airport, convenient location for tour pick-ups, shops & restaurants within walking distance, and a convenient location from Salamanca Place. I spent most of my time exploring Hobart. Everyone at reception was helpful and friendly. There are several individual bathrooms with a shower, toilet, sink, and hairdryer. Towels and soap were provided....
