Detailed Reviews
We had a room for the disabled and it was fantastic. Why can't every other motel I've had to stay in do a room like the Mayfair does for those in wheelchairs?
The room was larger to accommodate a wheelchair and the bathroom was fitted out with a sink you could actually reach while seated, there were handholds around the shower which had a built-in seat (so important for those of us who can't stand in a shower) and bars around the toilet.
I loved the overnight stay, and it was the first time I could have a shower without feeling fearful simply because of a seat in the cubicle and an extended handheld shower head.
Not only was the room amazing, but the motel location was also brilliant with stores close by. The indoor garden was an added gift to a motel I'd definitely stay in whenever I'm in Hobart.

We stayed here recently for five nights and had a great time. Rooms were large and warm and cosy. The small kitchen in the room was great for making breakfast in each morning before we had a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel is conveniently located near a supermarket and lots of restaurants only steps away from your room. Walk down the hill from the hotel to the water and there is a great park and playground close by. We would certainly stay here again.

Beaut Motel in the heart of Sandy Bay. Large clean rooms with shops, restaurants etc. within easy walking distance. Great value for money & would highly recommend this for families who struggle to find accomodation in Hobart that’s not way over priced.

We stayed three nights here to celebrate my sister-in-law's 60th birthday. We had the accessible room and it was the best we have had in a motel. Huge room, plenty of room to get about in either the wheelchair or walker, two queen size beds with room between to get the walker beside the bed. Lovely couch, coffee table, small 4 seat dining table, plenty of cupboard space and a very big bathroom, all completely accessible, grab rails aplenty, a higher toilet than in other rooms, lovely soap, shampoo etc and good thick towels. The service was great. As soon as we went out in the car, the manager put a No Parking post in the car space closest to the doorway so my husband didn't have to push the wheelchair across the "hilly" car park. Our room was close to reception and very quiet too. All in all, the best motel for accessibility we've stayed in. Well done to all at the motel for giving us a great place to stay!

Excellent service, no fuss. Great experience all around. I prefer a room with opening windows and they were very accommodating with this (ask for a room facing outside). Outside cosmetic appearance of the Hotel is a little tacky (it's in a small local mall) but don't let that put you off. It's a great place to stay. Comfortable but basic rooms, everything you need. Very clean and functional.

Clean room with reasonable amenities. Bathroom a bit dated and needed the grout cleaned.
The hotel is based in a shopping complex, so has a very light room which you cannot avoid. If you like darkness you may not get the best nights sleep as the curtains only block out 3/4 of the lighting which stays on all night.
The bed in our room was rock hard, along with the pillows.
Only bonus was it was close to a couple of our favourite restaurants.

I arrived earlier than check in on the off chance that I could park my car, not realising how hard it is to park in Hobart, the lady on reception was very accommodating !
Its a slightly odd setup, the rooms are off a courtyard/small shopping centre, with a cover over the top. However, my room was big and clean and tidy, and quiet even thought I was overlooking the car park. Having a free car park was a massive bonus, and its just a 15 minute walk to get round into town. There is a lot of shops and food places on the door step too.
Highly recommended.

Although I am not a visitor to Hobart, I needed a stay while I was in between living situations and I can honestly say that I have had a wonderful experience. The staff in general are most welcoming and freindly as well as accomodating to your every need.
In need of a longer stay, I was more than accomodated for with even an upgrade to my room so I had use of a gull kitchen. Extremely humble and lovely people with the service being oustanding!
Room wise they are very clean and have a cosy feeling that makes you feel at home. Within the complex there is also a tranquil space complete with fernery and little waterfalls.
If its a comfortable and friendly place you need on your visit to hobart I encourage you to stay here!

Had a two night stay, extremely obliging reception staff, arriving earlier than anticipated but were able to allow an early check in. Appreciated with the extremely cold weather. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds. A great choice of Cafes close by for a coffee & snack. Plenty of places close dinner options.
A place to remember for my next trip to Hobart. Will be a return traveler to Mayfair whenever in Hobart.

We have spent two nights here in studio self contained apartment. Very clean, modern walk in shower and very comfortable bed. The location is also fantastic and so close to all kinds of restaurants, cafes and shopping well within walking distance. Staff very friendly and helpful and car parking very close to our apartment. Wrest Point short drive away as is Constitution Dock for great fish and chips. Would definitely recommend this lovely Motel. We will be back. Thank you.

All our rooms have their own bathroom.
I would ring the motel direct an get pricing for the various combinations of rooms you require, then go online to the the various hotel booking places see if you can get a better deal. Usually if u book direct through the motel u will be charged a higher rate.
Hi. As Daisy answered its quite a drive from Queenstown to Mayfair Plaza so if you want to look around Queenstown it would make for a very full day. I can highly recommend the mining museum in Queenstown and we stayed at a lovely motel in Queenstown which was very comfortable and had its own restaurant with really great food. Sadly I can't remember the name of it but if you check Queenstown motels via TripAdvisor you will find my recommendation. Mayfair plaza Motel is easy to get to once in Hobart. Just go down to water and follow the road along. I can highly recommend Mayfair Plaza Motel too. Hope this helps
You cannot park right by rooms. Since rooms are inside mall. Parking was very convenient but I don't know how large of a vehicle they will accommodate.
