Staff exceptionally friendly. Wonderful blend of old and new. Breakfast and dinner both great experiences. Room pleasant and comfortable. You expect a lot at this price and for the most part it delivered.

My wife and I spent 5 nights in a Garden Room at this property last month and we couldn't have been more pleased with this decision. The outstanding staff "culture" was evident from the time we arrived through the time we departed. We were clearly the center of attention of every staff member throughout our stay. Our Garden Room was...

We stayed at the Islington for two nights in late February. We chose to be married in the beautiful garden and a number of our guests were also accommodated at the hotel. The experience was outstanding and we can't speak highly enough of every aspect of our stay. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous view of Mt Wellington. The bedding...

We always have good intentions of writing a review but almost never get around to it. However, we couldn't miss the opportunity to write one for this place. We travelled to Hobart for a wedding and decided to stay here based on the trip advisor reviews. The hotel itself is beautiful with impressive artwork adorning the walls and beautiful furniture...

Our 4 night stay at the Islington was a highlight of our trip. It's only a few minutes out of Hobart by car or a very short taxi ride. We were welcomed by the wonderful staff who cannot do enough for you. Rooms are very generous in size and luxurious. Wonderful chefs cooking fresh organic meals. Various rooms for you...

Fine The Islington is out of the cbd but this results in a quiet professional small hotel. The beds were divine. The breakfasts lovely although due to the unseasonably hot weather the glass conservatory was hot to sit in. The evening meal was also very good and suited us not having to leave this lovely hotel. The staff are excellent...

agonised about booking this place, very good reviews but 2k out of CBD & harbour, and didn't look that flash on pictures, but I couldn't go past the rave reviews on Tripadvisor. Luckily we did it and this place was almost the highlight of Hobart. It is exceptional accommodation, and as another reviewer said, you need a big excuse to leave...

My husband and I just stayed here for his surprise birthday holiday. 2 nights was no where near enough. I can't remember being so relaxed. With fantastic views it is the perfect place to sit back in front of the fire in one of 3 living rooms and just catch up. We highly recommend staying in for an amazing dinner,...
