Since my first visit to Hobart fifteen years ago, I've chosen to stay at The Lodge on Elizabeth. The Lodge is located close enough to the CBD and North Hobart to allow for easy walks. As the latest hosts, Jeff and Julie, are exceptional - attentive, friendly ... nothing seems to be a problem. The rooms are clean, comfortable (though...

Booking the accommodation was easy and at a reasonable price. Jeff also contacted us before the arrival date to acknowledge our booking and giving us lists of what to do in the area. We arrived quite late, but Jeff was waiting for us and came out to greet us, helping my pregnant wife with her luggage. After showing us around...

Stayed here with my wife for 5 nights over New Year and I have to say that Jeff and Julie are very pleasant hosts and our twin suite which is one of the more spacious rooms was outstanding. It is is not just the way this place has been converted to a B&B while keeping its 18th century charm, it...

Thank you Jeff and Julie for a very memorable stay. The service was first class. Jeff gave us a lot of information about the local city that made our trip. The hotel is in a perfect location, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I love the heritage feel of the place, feels like a beautiful home stay at an affordable...

We stayed here for 4 nights around the new year's period and had a fantastic time. Jeff (owner) was so accommodating, knew our names within 30 seconds of meeting us (then remembered them for our whole stay) and was so helpful! Very convenient location with Elizabeth at restaurants a short stroll up the road and a bus stop outside to...

Although a little out of the main CBD that was in fact a bonus over New Year. The rooms are very comfortable and the continental breakfast includes eggs, cheese and ham. Jeff and Julie were always very welcoming and helpful. North Hobart has a very good selection of cafes and the State Cinema is well worth visiting. And then there's...

We stayed 3 nights at the Lodge and we were not disappointed with our stay. Jeff and Julie were excellent hosts, breakfast was well catered for, car parking was free on the street, information about what to do and see was provided and the local restaurants in North Hobart were marvellous. The room, on the first floor, was large and...

Although we only stayed here one night, I wished we had stayed longer. We stayed there on our last night in Tassie after a driving holiday of the whole east coast. The owners/managers are wonderful and friendly people. As you walk in you could be forgiven for thinking you had stepped into the past 50 years or more. That isn't...

Jeff and Julie at The Lodge on Elizabeth think of everything! Nothing is a trouble and everything is done to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The ambience is wonderful and Julie's Xmas decorations had to be seen to be believed. As well as the ambience, both Jeff and Julie have a terrific knowledge about Hobart and are able to...

We descended to The Lodge from all over Australia. 27 in total for Rick's 50th birthday. Jeff and Julie survived our onslaught and made our stay fantastic. They went above and beyond the call of duty as bed and breakfast hosts. When Frank and I next go to Hobart this is the place we will stay. The rooms are beautiful....
