This was my third stay in an apartment under this brand and, whilst I understand that each location is run individually, there is no doubt that everyone is committed to corporate excellence ; and I will continue to use this brand on my travels around Australia. In Hobart, the Savoy is located quite magically right in the heart of the city from where everything is accessible. And the manager, Sally, and indeed her whole team, are supremely knowledgeable about anything and everything their guests might need. Beautifully clean too so you really can’t go wrong! Thank you, Xxx 😘

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here after the Fountainside closed. The only issue with it is that there is no parking. If you don't have a car it is in an excellent location, basically 2 blocks from waterfront, Woolies, all the main restaurants, Salamanca, buses etc. It is very clean and the room we had had an added kitchenette - 2 hotplates, microwave, sink, toaster, frig and all plates and cutlery. I don't know about prices now as we booked pre covid and added another 2 days. Obviously prices have gone up in that time so I don't know how it compares to other mid city hotels. There was a coin operated laundry on our floor. Cleanliness was hood, reception staff friendly, however is not always open and no lobby if waiting for a taxi as it is not on street level. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is centrally located in Hobart CBD. Close to the wharf, mall and Salamanca.
The staff are helpful and friendly. There is parking but off premises and for those unfamiliar with Hobart, may find it challenging to locate but it is a 5 minute walk to the hotel and there is cheaper parking available through reception.
It is an older hotel but we heard no noise from other rooms but did hear street noise at times but this could be due to the location of our room.

We stayed five nights at the Quest in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was on the top floor and we had a special key for the elevator that took us straight to our room. The apartment was very roomy and had good views out to the water. The facilities were fantastic with kitchen and laundry. We cooked a few meals there and we had everything we needed.
We did a pre-pay option and got a great deal on the apartment. Booking direct with the property and pre-paying saved us around $300.

A great location as well. Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I spent two nights and two days. Cant remember the name of the suite but it had kitchen queen bed large bathroom with toilet in. And two persons spa. Shower was above the spa but the shower head was quite low on the wall . My wife is 6ft and I'm 5,8 so it was tricky washing our hair. The room faced the bus mall. Thankfully it is double glazed so barely heard noise of the buses and GPO clock. Overall it was really nice room. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to staff and cleaning staff for making the sofa bed more comfortable going to extra effort was so kind and i slept really well. (Long story as to why I was on sofa couch and wife was in the Queen bed) I was find its the little things that make such a difference in quality of experiences.

As mentioned in the title this is a great centrally located property, a very clean and spacious room, bed was very comfortable. My only issues were arriving on a Sunday when I had the phone back after my flight landed I received a message that the reception closes at 3pm on a Sunday and I was provided details of secret handshakes and codes on how to get into my room. This all worked fine but not used to the non personal approach when arriving at a metropolitan hotel. My only other gripe was the lack of any decent electrical outlets in my apartment, there were only two, one over the bench/sink and the other behind the couch. The only way to setup to do some work on the laptop was to pull the coach out, reposition the handy table and side on the side of the bed when there was a large dining table and chairs sitting vacant. I spoke to the very pleasant receptionist when I checked out (yay for the human contact) and she agreed with my comments and promised when I return for four days in early January that I will have a room with decent power points. In this day and age of electronic devices, there are two must haves, electricity and wifi.

Another word for the uninformed traveler, finding anything open for dinner on a Sunday evening close by is a challenge in its own right.

Dear Pat, Thank you for your review and feedback it is greatly appreciated. Due to the loss of business from Covid we have had to unfortunately reduce our reception hours, we hope that as business starts picking back up that we are able to open longer. We would love to personally check all guests in but for the time being we have a key safe for our late arrivals and are pleased to hear this worked well for you. We understand especially if travelling for business, powerpoints are important and we will allocate you a room with accessible points for your stay in January, we also have extension cords available if needed as well. Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back in January. Kind Regards, Lauren Front Office

This is the first time we stayed in a apartment in Hobart and we were not disappointed. We basically chose this place because of its great value at the time and requiring two bedrooms. The place was a great size for 2 adults and 2 kids, it was clean, bright, modern and spacious. Great kitchen and laundry facilities thought the there could be a larger range kitchen utensils. It is very centrally located to everything you need such a cafes, Woolworths, restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend this to families.

I stayed for one night for the Cadbury marathon in early January, in one of the budget rooms. Room was spacious, comfortable, clean and had everything I needed, I have no negative comments in regards to the room or facilities. Larger people might find the shower a bit compact. The whole experience was excellent from the outset, including arranging a late checkout and being able to check in early as room was prepared promptly when I arrived at noon. The staff at reception were friendly and accommodating. My only criticism is that solo travellers are not catered for with a reduce fee or single room, although this is standard practice for most accommodation. As such, prices are quite expensive for a single/solo occupant especially at this time of the year.

Dear S42195km, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are pleased to hear the budget apartment met your requirements and you enjoyed your stay. I acknowledge your comments in regards to single travel, it is fairly standard for hotels to offer the same rates based on up to 2 people in the one apartment. We recently stayed 3 nights in a “ budget “ apartment and all our expectations were met or exceeded.
The one bedroom apartment across the road from the main building was huge with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The only issue that some may have is there is no lifts in this building so if you have mobility issues you may need to spend a little more on their premium apartments.
We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to this beautiful city.

There is parking. It is a few blocks away though. From memory it cost $17 a day. You drive into the lot and then get the ticket validated at reception.

I had a room with the frosted glass blocks that face into the internal atrium. I didn't really find it to be a problem but I found the staff to be friendly and helpful so I'm sure if you said that you didn't want an internal room they would try their best to accomodate you. Happy travels.
