My elderly mother and I spent 2 nights at Fountainside as I decided to travel earlier than originally booked in a waterfront apartment and they couldn't fit us in. I had read some less than favourable reviews but we were presently surprised when we arrived and thought it was a great hotel for a family. The room was clean and...

Lovely place - looks pretty ordinary on approach, but once inside rooms are spotless and modern. Mini bar at shop prices, and buffet breakfast for less than $12 - absolute bargain. Not too far to walk down to the waterfront either.

My wife and I spent one night at the Fountainside Hotel in Hobart. As other reviewers have noted, it is a 10 minute walk to the harbour area. Our hotel room was very clean, functional and provided a solid good night's sleep, free in-room wifi, free parking, and the front desk staff that we interacted with were all very personable...

We stayed at The Fountainside for one night whilst travelling around Tasmania. We wanted somewhere central to Hobart so that we could explore and where we could park our car and easily reach the airport the following day. The hotel was fantastically easy to find coming into Hobart. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room a good size...

We stayed a few days in December and were very satisfied by the quality of rooms and a very helpful staff. The location is also very convenient to see Hobart and east Tasmania. The hotel does not have a pool or a fitness center but that was not on our list of requirements.

When we arrived here we didn't think much of it from the outside but once walk in its a nice foyer, greeted by very friendly staff who are happy to talk about what Tazzy has to offer and were interested in where we were from. Once in the room we were again pleasantly surprised at the modern fit out. What we were...

Stayed here at the New Year and had a great time. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Add to that the location to the City and you couldn't stay at a better place. Although we didn't use it, the Mini bars the cheapest I've ever seen!

We had two nights in a family room. Very clean and tidy and would recommend. It wasn't what I would say cheap but I don't think any accomodation in Hobart is. Room was $180 for the night and we had three in there. Only criticism was the room was not made up after our first night stay. I guess for...

This hotel provides good quality accommodation, free wi-fi, professional and helpful staff and outstanding value for meals and drinks. It is very well located and easy to get to via the airport bus which drops and picks up at the door.
