Stayed for 3 nights and was very pleasantly surprised as we have always overlooked this hotel for some reason. Staff were very friendly throughout the stay. Room was lovely with lots of nice touches, even down to air freshener in the bathroom and as pretty much everyone has mentioned, great mini bar prices which encourage you to actually use it!...

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while on a tour with Aurora Coach Tours. The food was very good, staff very friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the roundabout which was a beautiful area with underpasses for pedestrians to cross from one side to the other of this big roundabout. The rose garden was on the other...

We found the Fountainside on Trip Advisor and stayed 3 nights in March. We thought it an excellent mid-range hotel. It’s in a good location about 10-15 minutes stroll from the city centre and Brooke St pier. We had a large room on the 7th floor with king-size double and good shower room. There was free wi-fi, a large TV,...

Location was great. Good value breakfast offered for $11.80. Staff very helpful. Room was clean and well equipped. Tips: Parking could be a challenge during busy times. Choose a high floor if possible. We were on the second floor there was a little bit of road noise, but nothing to really complain about.

Just recently I took my daughter and 3 grandchildren to Hobart and we stayed at the Fountainside Hotel. Perfect location and the apartment was fantastic for my little family. Staff were very welcoming to the adults as well as the children. We had a buffet breakfast which was more than adequate, would definitely rebook this accomodation again when visiting down...

NO POOL, NO GYM, NO VIEW, SUPER NOISY ROOM, CAN'T FALL ASLEEP, WORSE AMENITIES THAN A MUCH CHEAPER MOTEL Check-in: I prepaid for my room on hotel.com, and they make a COPY of my credit card at check-in instead of pre-authorization my credit card for incidental charges. I felt very uncomfortable about the hotel making copies of my credit card...

Stayed 6 nights whilst the Wooden Boat Festival was on - great value hotel and could walk to the festival. Staff helpful and friendly: went out of their way to accommodate us for an extra night. Fresh apples on the counter to munch on whilst walking to town - about 10 minutes. Stayed on the 7th floor - good views...

All the positive things said about the Fountainside Hotel are spot on. This hotel has generous sized rooms and bathrooms, which are clean, well serviced, and the prices are good value for what you get, including the mini bar and the breakfast. The location is a bit out of the main area, although we don't mind walking. We had three...

Easy check - in, nice clean hotel and rooms. Ample parking, close enough for us to walk to Battery Point, Salamanca area, wharves and shops. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant first night and morning, we enjoyed it so much we ate there for the rest of our 4 night stay. The meals were well prepared with a...
