Lovely old building and comfortable room. The shower could use a renovation--tiles were cracked. The big disappointment was the "included" breakfast. Two choices of pretty ordinary cereals, only full-cream cows milk, crappy supermarket bread. No fruit and only one type of juice. Coffee was ok. Good central location

We booked this hotel sight unseen on the Internet. There are a number of room options. Be aware that a number of rooms are reached by a suspended walkway along the side of the building. This means that a number of rooms look into this walkway with no privacy unless the curtains are drawn. The view is also interrupted. Large...

Stayed in room 10 at the top of the building. A little room which shall we say retained all of the heritage charm. This room could do with an update but this in no way spoiled the stay. The room was clean and had a comfy bed with sparkling clean sheets. This was a business trip and the fast free...

We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary, beautiful little hotel with staff who cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. There is a restaurant in the hotel, we were only able to enjoy a few of their entree dishes which we had as tapas in front of the beautiful fireplace in the sitting room. The hotel is owned...

Great location for cbd and Salamanca. Lovely, inviting, cosy atmosphere. Just right for coming in after a big day out and relaxing in front of the fire for a chat and an ale. The staff were fabulous! So helpful and willing to offer advice. My room was lovely...comfy bed, hot shower. A really great experience.

Great place, great staff, very well looked after. The hotel itself is in a fantastic spot and has all of its original heritage charm. You wouldn't find a better place to stay that also offers incredible whiskey.

Lovely atmosphere good location, large comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, restaurant isn't open each day so we didn't get a chance to check this out. There is a cosy fireplace to sit around, while trying some of the local beverages, would stay here again

Macquarie Manor is a quaint, boutique historical hotel. It is centrally located to both the Hobart CBD and Salamanca Place tourist enclave. Our room was large and tastefully furnished in the period theme that is represented throughout the hotel. The car park can take some navigating due to a lack of space but the staff are happy to help. I...

Beautifully preserved heritage building, tastefully renovated to maintain the charm of a bygone era. Our room was quite large with a very comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. For us the best feature of this hotel is the lounge/restaurant area. A cosy fireplace surrounded by (presumably) antique leather seating at one end with the restaurant and bar completing the...

We stayed at this hotel recently for 2 nights and there were many pro's but also some cons. Firstly, I received a good deal on the room which I was happy with. Had I payed full price I would probably have been more disappointed. Firstly, the location of the hotel is great. A short walk to the CBD and also...
