We stayed here for 3 nights in a Waters Edge room and found the bed very comfortable, (which is what put this to a 4) the cleaning standard good, and the view lovely. The soundproofing between rooms needs upgrading though. Unfortunately we could hear everything being said by the guy in the next room.

Stayed at Wrest Point for our last night in Tasmania and was surprised by receiving an amazing upgrade to an extremely spacious suite overlooking the water. It was a truly memorable night with a stunning sunset. In fact the room was so good, we didn't even go to a restaurant which was the original intention, had room service instead. The...

I probably wouldn't even rate it a one. It is run down and need of help. The carpet is stained and horrible. Staff okay No directions given to room Stayed in a water edge room which is a nightmare to find and locate. Don't order a pre wine bubbly for arrival. It won't be in your room, you will then need...

Room clean but very small. Hotel decor was very outdated. I felt our wing smelt damp, breakfast average (felt I was in a canteen) and some of the staff seemed miserable. Needs a good injection of life! Believe some simple changes could be made to make experience a lot more positive.

We stayed at the Wrest Point as part of a package through Flight Centre (including flights) and I was excited as 'four star hotel with water views' sounded great! Unfortunately what we found was a pretty dated, tired hotel. On the upside, our room had lovely water views; on the downside, our room had a double bed (not even a...

It will be a cold day in hell before I ever stay here again. Avoid like the plague. Absolutely no idea about customer experience and treat some people like crap based on the cover not the book. Place is old and run down. Rather stay at Chancellor or Sebel. Place is like an old asylum

We had a waterview room which may have been a mistake. We were not in the tower where some of the rooms have already been undergoing renovation. Ours looked like it sprang from the 1960's. The room was adequate but not comfy. The bathroom definitely needed a massive overhaul. The view from our bedroom was indeed overlooking the river, which...

Given the expensive prices of most Hobart hotels, this was not too bad at short notice. Whist the Derwent River and marinas provide an excellent view, the rooms feel dated and 'tired', and there was a constant engine noise in the room. (Probably an old fridge that I should have turned off). The bathroom, especially the shower, was unimpressive The...

Very central location with all amenities anyone would need. Great eateries including the buffets and great views right around. Staff is extremely helpful and many day tours can be booked from here. Bedding is great with excellent quality sheets for a really peaceful sleep.

Although I arrived well before check-in staff were happy for me to leave my luggage, and when I checked in later they arranged for my luggage to be delivered to my room, which made a nice change from having to lug my own suitcase. Stayed in the tower on the 12th floor, amazing views. The room was very spacious and...
