First night away without children for months and had the best time. Staff were all so polite and welcoming, were approachable and ready to assist Stayed in one of the newly upgraded rooms with in the tower with the best bed with a pillow menu (so much yes) oh and the mirror situation… so much YES! Dined at Kwan Ho, relaxed in the various bars and lounges and had the buffet breakfast. If we could rate our stay higher, we would. The supervisor on duty (Danny maybe?) was amazing and was wonderful when we gad a slight family emergency and Micheal- what ever your job title is, you are now the legend! You sir are customer service in a nutshell! Will 100% stay again an highly recommend.
Very satisfied and highly recommend. Very clean, beautiful gardens & views, friendly staff, restaurants that we attended staff were accommodating and friendly food was delicious. I am looking forward to returning. Thank you to all at Wrest Point.
I stayed in the tower view deluxe king room, it was a lovely room, very modern and well furnished. However my biggest negative with this hotel is the undisclosed $200 bond that is asked for upon check in. I was really surprised by this as I had stayed at the Country Club resort the night prior which is also a Federal Group hotel. When I mentioned the prior nights stay I was informed that this was the policy across all federal group hotels which obviously isn’t true as it would have also been imposed at the country club the night prior. The terms and conditions prior to booking only state a $200 per night bond when paying buy cash or eftpos which I was not. I have already contacted the hotel and the federal group about this matter but have yet to receive a response, obviously they don’t take this matter seriously. I’d understand if maybe a $100 bond was required to cover the mini bar etc but there was no mini bar offered. I won’t be returning to Wrest Point nor any federal group hotels if this is going to be the policy going forward which I am particularly disappointed about as I stay at the country club in Launceston quite regularly. A couple of thousands of dollars business a year you’ll be loosing from me just over a very stingy bond and you’re lack of care in taking customer feedback seriously given if contacted you via several channels to express my dissatisfying experience.…
I arrived late on Sunday and everything went smoothly. Perfect check-in, had a lovely meal. I only stayed overnight to get the 10am bus to Launceston. I went downstairs to get a coffee and met a lovely couple. Everyone is so friendly! The mattress was so good to sleep on, and the pillows have made me order some similar ones online! The view is just gorgeous, I could have cried.. The only really tiny downside is I'd remove the coffee machine. I'm not a fan of pod machines and this is no exception. Also it promotes business with the precarious times we are in. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.
Room was nice, very clean. No covid precautions, there were already 5 people in the tiny elevator and a staff member invited another 2 to join us. No drinks what so ever in the room, had to get revolting water from the bathroom tap, room service did not answer or call back. Enough lighting coming under the door through the night to light up a sports arena. The food was revolting, toasted sandwich 2 inches thick, so dry I couldn’t chew or swallow it. For the price of the room i expected a lot more, wouldn’t go back unless it was gifted to me
