Stayed 2 nights. The location is excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. The rooms are comfortable but nothing glamorous. The hotel doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. It is a well located, clean and comfortable property. Our room had a queen bed and a divider to accommodate a single bed on the other side. It felt claustrophobic and prevented natural light from getting throughout the room. The bathroom was modern and well appointed with lotions and good clean towels. I do recommend the hotel if you want a budget to medium priced hotel in a brilliant location. Car parking on the property is $28 per day and good for peace of mind.

After having stayed at several hotels in Hobart, Allurity is an ok hotel, not great for that price. The reason we stayed here was that its location is pretty central, and has a family room which can sleep 4. Another bonus is that the Farm Gate Market is right in front of the hotel and is very bustling on Sunday mornings. The dock's only a 10min stroll away and town centre around the corner. Central Hobart is pretty compact so most sights in town are within walking distance.
The family room is basic and compact but still sufficient for 4 pax, as they make effort to maximise use of the space and segment the room. The beds are sagging so sleep wasn't great. Hot water and wifi are strong and reliable. The room is wired very well and there are more than ample electric sockets. The tv reception is pretty hopeless unless you want to hold up the antenna in the middle of the room. There is no breakfast at this room rate. Our check-in was delayed but the front desk was friendly and helped us hold the bags.
I think Allurity is a fine option on days that the town is busier with tourists, but there are other good options along Bathurst and that part of town.

The staff were very nice. Most of my issues relate to Qantas not telling me I had to prebook parking. I also got a room more suited to someone in a wheel chair, with low water pressure. Hotel was located though.
The vending machines were a god send as there are very few shops open late nearby.

We booked the Allurity Hotel because it was convenient to the Budget car rental where we were dropping our rental car off to, they offered reasonably priced car parking, the hotel was a short walk to the MONA ferry, Salamanca Markets, waterfront, we could leave our bags there after checking out and it was convenient to a particular restaurant that we'd booked into. However, when we checked in we discovered that it was close to many great bars and restaurants, in particular the pub across the road was excellent in all respects. A supermarket was close by. The staff were all excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything that you needed- including complimentary coffee pods which were appreciated. Despite being in the CBD it was quiet and we were able to sleep well. Wifi was strong and reliable.

Great location close to hospitals, playhouse, library, and mid-city shops and cafes. It is also a very easy walk through the nearby mall to Constitution Dock. There is also convenient parking on site, although we agree with other reviewers that the additional $28 day charge for this could be made clearer on the booking engines. We do not agree with reviewers who have used terms such as "backpacker style." We stayed in a lovely room on floor 7 which was clean, well appointed, very comfortable, and even had extras such as pod coffee and complimentary chocolates. The staff were also pleasant, helpful, well prepared, and flexible. Well done to them. We feel that Allurity is a very good option at its mid level price. Sure, 5 star hotels might have bigger TV's, softer seats/couches, and larger bathrooms; but it is improper for reviews to mark down Allurity against such standards, without having regard to its cheaper price. We have been to this hotel before (when it was known as Mid-City) and we would be happy to return again.

A great 5 night stay in the center of Hobart. It exceeded my expectations. Very comfortable clean rooms, good bedding and with good internet access. Importantly one of the few hotels in Hobart with its own parking. It is limited so you have to make reservations prior to your arrival , but then your place is guaranteed. The $20 charge is very reasonable and you can come and go as you please knowing that you will be able to park. The location is hard to beat an easy walk to restaurants , pubs, shops , constitution dock and the Salimanca markets.
On top of this the staff were pretty special and made our stay very pleasant. I followed some of their recommendations and was not disappointed. Good coffee comes to mind from one helpful lady when I asked.
A stay in the center of Hobart does not come cheap, but I found their price for a stay very acceptable in comparison to other hotels.
A glowing report to say the least , but they surprised me with the quality of our stay and helped us very much enjoy Hobart.
Thoroughly recommended. Would stay again in a shot when revisiting Hobart.
Our previous stay in Hobart was 44 years ago for our honeymoon.
Thanks Allurity

I wouldn't refer to this as a hotel, maybe a fancy back packers. You have to pay an additional $20 per night for parking. You have to pay $10 to be able to use the laundry. There is a strict no smoking on the premises policy and states fines apply however this doesn't apply to the staff as you'll see numerous of them smoking in the car park. A kettle, mugs, tea and coffee are supplied but make sure you take your own milk because that's not provided. There was no microwave in the room and they don't have a kitchen, so make sure you're planning to eat out. There are no power point's near the beds, they are on the opposite side of the room. One of the bedside lights was broken and reception were advised and assured it would be fixed right away, still wasn't working when we checked out. Make sure you take warm pj's because no extra bedding/blankets or pillows are provided either. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people in the room either side of you. There's no phone in the room to be able to call reception. The bathroom was disgusting, the sink would not drain due to being clogged with hair and gunk, the shower head was filthy and the fan was completely full of dust, there wasn't even a switch to be able to turn the fan on. The design of the shower is dangerous, the water runs off the shower step on to the floor. Other than location and the New Sydney Pub being directly accross the road, this place has nothing going for it. I'm glad my stay was paid for from wining tickets on the radio as there is no way I would pay the amount they ask to stay there and I won't be going back.

I wish I was coming with a great review, but sadly I’m not. Where to begin. Our first problem started from reception. We had 4 room changes to receive what we paid and asked for. Parking onsite was only explained at check in which took $60 for $20 a day to park at the property and you needed to be aware everytime you went out you may not get your spot back as it was very limited. Maybe 20-30 spots for a hotel that has many many rooms . Once in the right suite (family suite) we instantly noticed the problems :( - cleanliness was the biggest default. Being housekeepers in the past we noticed right away the hygiene of the shower which had someone’s hair from a previous stay (long blonde hair ) the floor was dirty - I’m sure neither the shower or kitchenette area was vaccumed and mopped. The kitchenette had a microwave and kettle. There was no tea towels or clothes to wash the dishes supplied though there was a bottle with around a CM of dishwashing liquid left. There was no phone, no welcome folder to suggest the area , no emergencies plans anywhere in the room or surrounding , no clock and tv reception was bad. The smart tv wasn’t working so that was a major let down. The beds were definitely in need of mattress toppers. I’ve left today with a very sore back. The pillows need replacing asap. For 3 nights we went out of pocket $800 and sadly was a huge waste of money :( I do hope the hotel hires cleaners that are dedicated to their work to have guests happy on arrival and leaving again. It is possible with effort and maintenance.

Location is GREAT, walking distance to the mall, lots of restaurants and small eateries nearby.
Internal room is new but just needed some small adjustments like more hooks in bathroom to hang towels, clothes etc is needed. In shower, no place to place your soap, shampoo etc except leaving on floor of shower. Can put in a suction tray or something etc. They provided fancy coffee machine and only 3 pods.

We stayed here twice in May and I was definitely impressed. The rooms are comfortable and basic BUT you cannot beat the location for the price you pay! Easy walking distance to Salamanca, the harbour and many of the city’s best restaurants and bars, plus the Sunday morning markets are in the adjacent street! The rooms aren’t anything particularly fancy but the beds and pillows are comfortable, the shower pressure is good and the toiletries are nice enough. One of the twin rooms we stayed in had a wardrobe separating the two beds, which was a little unusual but not actually unpleasant as it offered a degree of privacy. Our flight was also delayed by 6 hours and organising an after hour check in and key pick up at short notice was super quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone staying in Hobart!
