Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location, right in the middle of Hobart main township. About one kilometre from the waterfront. Friendly, helpful staff. Off street parking available at a nightly rate (about A$28). Room on smaller side with one queen bed separated from one single bed by a closet-divider. Airflow/circulation is acceptable. Bathroom is smallish, and the exhaust fan runs a little noisily through the bulkhead across the main bedroom area. Luckily, it is timer controlled and goes off after a little while. Bed was comfortable. Not too hard, not too soft. Fluffy pillows. Good quality sheets and towels. Small bar fridge, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided. In my opinion, the general fittings in the room (wardrobe, airconditioner, windows, etc) are probably ready for replacement/refurbishment.

My stay has been excellent, both room and bathroom are clean, friendly staff, hotel manager Tin gave excellent advice on good place to eat, where to go and do something that is unique in Tassie, such as seeing bioluminescence , Mona Museum.

Staff friendly and helpful , Family room for 4, too small, one night was enough space wise, Add on your $30 parking, Not too far of a walk to the wharf, good middle of city position, Not the best soundproof rooms , If staying on your own it’s comfortable,

Great position in central Hobart. Clean, with comfy bed and pillows. Staff is friendly but you have to ask if you need extra fen, or microwave, or sugar. Parking is $30 per night, but you can find some free spots around hotel.

Absolutely disgusting place and the staff as well in fact I’m taking action against them due to their staff being outspoken and interfering with private matters totally unacceptable and bad behaviour on their part the lady at the front desk must release she’s only an employee of a low class accommodation

Stayed for 4nights (July 4 -8) When we came in, yes the room was neat and tidy, but the fact that we have to stay for 4nights, they haven't emptied our bins nor gave us fresh towels. We have to request for more toilet papers. Despite requesting for room service it was not done. Only advantage of the area is that its located centrally and is convenient for city central/shops etc. Just a reminder that they don't provide free parking, we have to pay $28/day for parking fee. The photos can be quite deceiving as 23meter square may sound bigger, but in reality with 2 little kids the area is too small. Overall it was an okay stay I guess.

The price is good and location great (though far from quiet). But take the following into account. The temperature on the aircon is locked at 23 and my room got the sun all day so was too warm at night. Only one small window to crack open. The kitchenette didn’t have a t-towel or a sharp knife. The rooms aren’t serviced. But as I say the price and location of the hotel are fine.

Family room was tiny and not at all "family" friendly. No storage, no cutlery or plates only couple of mugs and a kettle and tiniest fridge on earth. Middle of winter and the aircon/ heater sucks, is auto set and turns off after 5mins. Charging us $28/day to simply park and there are no alternatives in the area everything is 1hr parking max which is cleverly hidden in the booking. Would not recommend at all :(

We stayed here for 1 night in April, it was short notice and after reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned. However, I was meet by a friendly staff who gave the kids some colouring in packs and welcomed us to the hotel. Our room was very clean and tidy. It was nice that the windows opened slightly to get some fresh air in. The bed was large and comfortable and there was room to relax and sit to eat. As it was short notice we got a really good deal on the room so price wasn't an issue and compared about the same as other local hotels. It is very centrally located and close to shops, restaurants and the mall. I would recommend staying here.

Basic backpacker style, no working heating whrn informed told ‘user error’ however whrn checked was not actually working. No apology. Required parking, whrn srrived told first in, with a disability, a long way from suitable parking. Not informed on Sunday street closed off, so person with disability won’t be able to get to vehicle. No towels in room when arrived. Yea coffee facilities no simple pkts of tea. Very noisy midnight, other guests. Very basic - pay the extra & stay elsewhere if you can. First time, purely for availability close to city. Wouldn’t stay again. Practical if not driving & dont need warmth.
