Step back in time and experience 19th-century Hobart in the 1840's heritage listed Georgian Victorian home of convict merchant Samuel Bendall. Guest accommodation is in the 1840's section with spacious, semi-self contained rooms which are furnished with antiques and collectibles. After a busy day seeing the sights come back to Bendalls to relax on the veranda and enjoy great views of Mt. Wellington, or, stroll in the organic kitchen garden which provides fruit for your breakfast. Located in a quiet area with public transport at the door and easy parking we are close to cafes, restaurants and supermarkets and only 10 minutes from central Hobart, Salamanca Place and the historic waterfront.

We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with you about the history of the house and garden. Summer is beautiful in Hobart and our garden is now providing a lovely range of fruit for our guests. This weekend I will be bottling Green Gage Plums and Nectarines.

Excuse et moi. Je parlez francaise tres peut Excuse me. I speak only a little French. Cars can be parked on a quiet street at our entrance. I have parked my car on the road for 16 years without any problems. Roger always walks or takes the bus. H never drives the car. Cafes, restaurants and shopping are 5-15" walk or 5" by bus. The bus stop is opposite our front door but you cannot hear it when you are at the house. During the week buses travel to the city every 10 minutes and it takes 10 minutes from Bendalls to the centre of the city.
