Found the Mantra to be a great hotel, great location, close to everything, all within walking distance to Salamanca Market, the city Centre, Botanical Gardens, the Pier, lots of pubs. Being able to adjust the aircon within the room was great. Room was very clean and tidy, great hanging space, very modern bathroom, albeit a tad dark even with both...

First of all, this Hotel has friendly and helpful staff. First impressions are important and set a good mark to start the Mantra Collins Hotel experience. I probably felt a little spoiled from a overnight stay in Melbourne the previous night. I had a fantastic place and $100 cheaper than the Mantra. I had my room on the 7th floor...

Great location with an excellent cafe on the ground floor. I don't know why they charge for internet, bizarre. Staff are great, very friendly. It is a bit expensive for what you get, have stayed at others around the area which have very similar rooms but are a just out of the CBD (very easy walk) and half the price,...

A fine hotel - but an odd approach to offer WiFi at a minimum of $15. Everywhere else we stayed it was found to be complimentary. It's a lot of money to check an e-mail !!! Quite inappropriate in today's environment.

We were quite happy with the one bedroom apartment we stayed in for 3 nights as the room was clean and well equipped if a little dated. We were on the 5th floor so the view was not as good as it would have been from a higher floor. The position was quite good as only a 5-10 minute walk...

For the price it had everything we needed. Although you have to pay for parking it was handy having the car park next door as well as getting reduced rates. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

The Mantra Collins Hotel was easy to find and easy to check in to with staff being very helpful and friendly although offered a person beside us an upgrade at no extra cost but didn't reciprocate the offer to us. The bathroom was nearly bigger than the bedroom but had everything we needed from iron, ironing board, safe and nice...

I'd like to stay again when it's not a long weekend to see if I get better value for money, as the room cost was high and other than being in the CBD the room itself was like other 3-4 star hotels. So I would like to go back when the room price isn't exorbitant due to a long weekend.

Convenient, clean and comfortable. Air conditioner unreliable due to very warm days and nights! Downstairs Bistro very convenient and good value. The hotel is a short distance to all the interesting sites... two museums, Mawson's hut, Salamanca markets, Churches, Harbourside eateries, MONA ferry, half day tour to Richmond, half day tour of Hobart.
