Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have stayed here many times but the rooms have recently been refurbished and are lovely and spacious and the beds and pillows very comfortable. The staff are fantastic - very friendly and helpful. We think it it is the best location in Hobart, central to everything.

Fabulous rooms - excellent location, very clean, staff super helpful. Great bathrooms, living space and bedrooms. Also generous in size. Unfortunately we had a connecting door to the next apartment which always increases noise - and the people next to us had their TV so loud we could hear it - and we could hear it each time we were in our living room. Not sure if this would have been as bad without the connecting door. Additionally. The footsteps from the apartment above were clearly heard in our apartment. The noise unfortunately drops my rating. If ever staying again I would ask for a top floor apartment and no connecting door if that is possible.

Beautiful room. Right near restaurants and amenities. Clean and very modern. We visited when Dark Mofo Festival was on and we were right near Winter Feast. Bed was comfy and room was clean and luxurious. Amazing shower with a giant rain head.

For years now we make an annual family pilgrimage to Hobert staying at Salamanca Terraces, but this year decided to try Salamanca Suites, both owned by Lenna of Hobart. We booked 2 x 2-bedroom units for an extended family of eight. Location - Salamanca is a beautiful, peaceful, historic harbour front location. We go on long morning and evening walks to soak in the ambience. Our bookings always include a Saturday so we can experience the Salamanca Markets too. Cost - expensive but worth it. We're the average working-class family and the cost is more then we could normally afford but the benefits make the trip to Tasmania worthwhile. Rooms - amazing beds, amazing pillows - the best we have ever slept on. The huge rain showerhead made showers amazing too. The rooms were renovated a year or two ago and are in perfect condition. Hint 1 - the cutlery drawer in the dishwasher is at the very top and we missed it completely. We were baffled by the lack of cutlery the first day the room was cleaned! Hint 2 - the 2-bedroom units each have an adjoining studio apartment with internal secure access between the rooms. Booking a 2-bedroom unit - studio - 2-bedroom unit is perfect for a group of ten and our intention in 2024! Staff - always found the staff to be lovely. Downsides ...none really, it was another great stay this year.

This was our second stay and we loved it just as much as the first time. We stayed for a week. The rooms have been upgraded and are spacious, fresh, and modern. Serviced daily, housekeeping was excellent as were the amenities. Lots of big fresh towels and extra pillows and bedding in case you need it. Lovely toiletries. Fresh milk for tea and coffee was much appreciated as opposed to long life that is often provided in accommodation. Staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. We had trouble operating the air conditioning and a handyman arrived almost immediately to help. The suites are in the most perfect spot to explore the wharf area , Salamanca , Battery Point and everything is within walking distance. Can’t wait to go back again! Well done to everyone.

Exceptional accommodation from the friendly staff at reception to a spotlessly clean room that met all of our expectations. Very comfortable bed, excellent amenities and facilities for a longer stay guest. Nice to have a balcony and the chance for some fresh air.

Located in Salamanca Place about 50 metres from the Salamanca Market. We arranged our trip to Tassie to arrive in Hobart on a Friday evening so we could go to the market. the Hotel has been substantially renovated to a very high standard. Check-in is complex as you have to go to the Lenna Hotel in the road opposite up a very steep hill. We were given a one bedroom suite with a king bed. Bed linen fresh and the bed comfortable. Our room was on the end of the building so the bedroom and bathroom were on one side and the lounge etc on the other, a corridor joined the two. The unit is provided with a washing m/c and dryer. The kitchen is large and well provided. Our only problem was how to turn on the hottop but with help from a staff member we found the isolation switch on the wall in the entry area. A general mistake is not providing a good information booklet. You can upload brief detail onto your Iphone but not good for older guests. Car parking is limited and not designated. If full you have to go up the side road and park in the Lenna hotel area. The unit has been painted throughout in a mid strength grey color that may be trendy but not used friendly. This was a mistake. Our unit had a small courtyard outside the bedroom and a balcony outside the lounge. There is no view as a University building is directly opposite. The building is on a hill so although our unit was at ground level for entry the lounge was effectively at least 1 story up. Well located for the market and walking around the warf and into the city.

Came to Tassie for 5 nights over Easter. We like to stay around Salamanca so we don't need a car. Come to Tassie often and this break was to relax. Eat & Drink. Decided to stay at Salamanca Suites this time and we loved it. Very modern large unit with everything you would expect. Room was ready early too which was great as we flew in early. Check in was swift and easy as usual with these friendly people. This is where we will stay next time %100.
