Our room was spacious and overlooked the marina. We actually relaxed in the room and soaked up the boat traffic. Plenty of local eateries plus an easy walk into the city for others. Room was only let down by the slow wifi which also needed reconnecting to all devices each day.

Hotel's Favourite
We originally booked a holiday to Tasmania for August 2021 but had to reschedule to August 2022 due to COVID. The MACq01 was the crowning jewel of our two week holiday in Tasmania. We arrived to free concierge parking which was a nice touch and given the cold weather in Winter, I take my hat off to them. The reception staff were super friendly and wished me a Happy Birthday on check-in which made me feel a bit special. Shortly after we checked in I received a birthday card and full block of local chocolate which again was a nice touch. We stayed in a suite on the 3rd floor that was huge, well appointed and had a very comfy bed (and couch, my partner decided to snore on one of the three nights we were there). I would highly recommend the breakfast, it was included in our room rate and was absolutely delightful. We also booked in for the free 'Sticky Stones' tour with a very informative and fun member of staff (sorry, I cannot remember his name but he was an absolute superstar) he took us right around the IXL Jam factory and behind the scenes of the Henry Jones Hotel (sister hotel to MACq01), you can arrange this tour with reception. Sadly, we did not get a chance to do the stories of the hotel tour but would imagine it would equally be as interesting as the tour we went on. The staff were always happy to see us and went above and beyond to make our stay that extra bit special. Wonderful location - very modern hotel. Biggest problem was jack of USB ports in this otherwise very modern and hightech room. Easy walk to center of city. Room Was comfortable and bed very luxurious. Welcoming staff was very friendly and efficient.

Very nice hotel in a great location on the waterfront in Hobart. Good access to everything. We enjoyed the bars and The Old Wharf restaurant plus there were other options in the same building. The room was large and the amenities perfect.

Great place to say not one thing to pick on. I love the vegan buckwheat pancake recipe please . I have and continue to telling friends and family about our stay at your hotel, breakfast could be included in stay.

Stayed for one night at MACq 01 after 2 nights at another hotel close by. Check in was fast and easy, got complimentary valet parking, room was massive and clean. The hotel is in a great location surrounded by great bars and restaurants or you can eat and drink at the bars and restaurants inside the hotel. Would definitely stay there again in future.

We stated at MACq01 for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a waterfront suite which was amazing & a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine when we arrived made our stay even more special. The hotel has fantastic stories about amazing Tasoriesanian heroes on all their guest rooms and the book in our room with their stories was a great read.

Had a great time at this hotel. The room was large and very clean. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. The story bar was fantastic and had magnificent views.There was loads of places to eat and drink within the hotel . The staff in the bar were very friendly and welcoming. the experience has got to be worth 1 night but be careful I know you will love it. the rooms are very spacious and are very quiet. breakfast is simple but very satisfying indeed. There is really no need to leave this incredible hotel.
