Be warned - if you choose to stay here, you may not want to leave!
We were so pleased with our choice for our 30th wedding anniversary. The view from the apartment was stunning, it was spacious and contained all we needed to self-cater. A highlight was the huge windows that maximised the spectacular scenery.
We were so delighted with our recent three night stay that we chose one day just to enjoy the view, the balcony and each other than our planned itinerary.
Thank you for sharing your home and the information shared before our stay to make sure we came prepared (from being so far from shops and supplies, slippers for cold floors etc)
Another highlight was our meal at nearby Stokes Bay, the cafe there was excellent, the seafood meals were very large with quality seafood ingredients and salads. Don't judge it by the appearance of the tin shed!
And of course you're in the right location to enjoy the spectacular Enchanted Fig Tree, the very reason we were drawn to Snellings Beach in the first place.

My partner and I spent 2 nights in this amazing accommodation. The house was private, specious and had views of the ocean from every angle. There were kangaroos all over the hills and dolphins in the bay every morning. A true KI experience. Couldn't recommend this property enough, we absolutely loved it and cant wait to come back again.

A very stylish and comfortable retreat perched high above Snellings beach, with expansive views of the ocean and hills. Very well designed with luxury finishes and thoughtfully every household item you might ever need. Exceptionally clean and well maintained .
The magnificent view can be enjoyed equally from each of the bedrooms and the drive to the beach takes about 2 minutes. As the location is quite remote and shops are far and few between we took all our food supplies with us from the mainland. If you are looking for a peaceful haven to relax this place should be seriously considered. One of the highlights of our trip was the Vivonne Bay General Store -very basic appearance, but our lunch was worth the wait - beautifully presented and super tasty whiting burger and lamb burger - Also worth doing is a trip to Stokes Bay-the beach entrance hidden and accessed via a rocky cave -the cafe at the beach makes a very decent coffee -shame we didn't have time to try some of the great food listed on the menu

The most spectacular scenery and wildlife as well as a superb beach for both swimming and fishing. The accommodation has 2 wings with a communal area in between as well as large decks outside each wing to take full advantage of the superb views. Both wings are luxuriously appointed and once there you won't want to move. Early morning & evening the wallabies/kangaroos graze nearby and koalas can be sighted in the nearby trees. Great birdlife as well from tiny finches to wedge-tailed eagles soaring in the skies. Be aware there are no nearby shops so you must be prepared to shop & cook or drive to a restaurant - not close by.

I won't say much about this place except that I agree with all of the other reviewers. This rental property is excellent in every way and it would be hard to see how anyone could find fault with it. I would suggest self catering as the nearest restaurant is over an hours drive away. The oven and dishwasher will need replacing very soon. Otherwise sublime but please don't book it as it might clash with our next intended visit !

Stayed for a week in this lovely property. Very thoughtfully and comfortably furnished. Everything you need to self cater, with well equipped kitchen that makes cooking a breeze in this stunning location.
We flew into Kingscote, hired a car, bought all our supplies at the local supermarket, picked up fantastic fresh seafood at Kingscote Seafood and drove out to the house. The round trip to Kingscote is about 160kms so it pays to pick up all you need at the outset. Particularly as the car hire had only an allowance of 100kms per day and charged 25 cents per extra kilometre.
The house is magnificently located high above the beach. You can spend hours just watching the landscape unfold from any part of the house. The house was also warm during the day as it trapped the sunlight, so we only used the gas fire at night.
We were lucky enough to have the property to ourselves as no one stayed in the other wing, although both houses are well positioned for privacy. If I were to return in the busier summer, I'd arrange to book with friends and family to have use of both wings.
You are well positioned to visit the west and southside of the island. We did over 1000kms, and a lot was on dirt roads, so if you do hire a car try to get unlimited mileage. Plus we hired a small four wheel drive as there was an extra daily allowance for hiring a 2WD car if you go on dirt roads which you can't avoid to get to Snelling Beach.
Absolutely worth it for the unspoilt location. We will definitely stay again.

We stayed in the East Wing for only 2 nights and truly wished we were there for at least 2 weeks! The accommodation is huge, the furnishings and facilities are of the highest quality and the view amazing. We loved the remoteness of it, and the fact that you have to travel quite a distance on a dirt road to get there. A fantastic place to relax. (and well worth the trip to The Rockpool Cafe for a rustic but excellent lunch!)

Stunning views, attention to detail, perfect sized kitchen, did I mention the views?, close to the beach, MASSIVE wedge tailed eagles around (3m wing span), roos, posums......wish we coudl have spent longer there....you dont know whether to stay there or visit all the KI attractions. Also the little things made the difference, with binoculars, telescope, local tips, personal comments on the board.

Its pricey, but worth every dollar.

Thank you to the owners for creating such an inviting, well planned holiday home.

Perfect for familes, honeymoons, mates trips, and even solo.

We stayed 3 nights at Snelling’s View in late December in the East wing.
Everything was perfect. House is spacious, light from all angles, incredible view, kangaroos passing by at all times, very nice deck for dinner, good gas fired bbq, simple but tasteful decoration.
Really enjoyed it. Just beware that closest location for groceries and beverages is 30 km away by a dirt road. Totally manageable, but make sure to buy everything needed before making it to the house. And have gasoline for the car, too. Kitchen is fully stocked.

Totally charmed by the raw beauty of this Snelling Beach rental. We opted for the single bedroom Sky House. Believe the photos then add stupendous views of sky and ocean. Bring all your supplies. Beautifully designed house and totally isolated but for the kangaroos.
