We have travelled to many places of the world, yet this little town in the centre of Australia is unique. Desert View Apartments are owned by two beautiful people who have struggled but still managed to create accommodations that are spacious, comfortable, clean, safe, and at a price that is much too low for what they offer.

Finding this place very quiet , located off the main street . Very friendly owners who make you feel welcome. Awesome views out to the desert....clean tidy rooms noticed they also have a safe area for kids to play. Good size rooms....kitchen facilities are great. Very reasonable prices. Definitely stay again.

Close to town and excellent outlook over the plains. Rooms are huge and great for sleeping in. Being underground the bedroom are are dark and quiet at night. We spent 3 nights there and will go back again. The owners are friendly and helpful.

We always stay at the Desert View Apartments when we drive from Alice Springs to Wallaroo and back again. This time was no exception. The staff are friendly and helpful. The accommodation is clean and spacious and the price is reasonable. If you are looking for excellent value and the experience of sleeping underground I highly recommend Desert View Apartments...

The facilities are excellent. We stayed at another cave hotel on the way to Ayers Rock and it was incomparable to the Desert View Apartments. Plenty of room, check in was simple and everything just worked like it should. Not fancy but really good honest value. Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the apartment twice on our holiday, our first night and our last night. We had the same room (2 bedroom apart) which was very spacious, huge living area & kitchen with everything you could need. The King Bed was super comfy, 2nd bedroom has 3 single bed's (not overly comfortable.) Tony & Linda very friendly & helpful...

Our family, two adult couples, really enjoyed our stay. Our two bedroom accommodation was comfortable, but slightly spoiled by a bathroom door which could not be closed. Loved being underground, loved the quiet plus even temperature.

This venue was a great place for a 4 night stay with underground rooms but with a door and windows to the outside to let the light in. The rooms were large with a king size bed, comfortable lounge and chairs, TV and DVD, free wifi, full hotplates with oven as well as microwave, and extremely helpful and friendly managers.

We visited Coober Pedy mid July 2016 and were lucky enough to book an 8 bed apartment on a Saturday night at the Desert View Apartments. The owners could not have been more accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Tony and Linda were efficient, friendly and informative. Highly recommended. Clean, safe and value for money.
