Oasis was a great park with very good facilities. The amenities were very clean. Water was available to our powered site also for a small extra fee. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Mary who greeted us on our arrival! Central to everything in Coober Pedy.

We booked the Oasis because they advertise that they are the only park in Coober Pedy with water to the sites. True, but read the fine print - not all sites have water, so it must be requested when booking.
Our site was tight with little space to leave our car, so we opted to leave our awning down so we could park safely. Showers are also coin in the slot - not expensive but a nuisance. One ablution block was fairly modern, the other very tired, needing a revamp. there was no grey water disposal at the sites.
Having paid for 3 nights, we left after the first, preferring to free camp in a more peaceful location with almost the same facilities.
I am sure if you managed to get a site with water the stay may be more bearable, but I won't bother stopping again.

We stayed at the Oasis Caravan Park at Coober Pedy for 3 nights. It is a very convenient spot near the town.
Please note though, not all sites have water to hook up to. We were just near the camp kitchen so we’re filling up buckets to use.
The staff are very friendly, but check that you are charged the correct amount. They over-charged us and had to give us a refund.
20cents for the shower was a good idea as then people are more aware of water use.

This park is located on the Main Street a short walk from the town centre. The staff are lovely.
Coober Pedy does not have a good supply of fresh water. It comes via a desal plant. Accordingly it is not connectable to campers and vans. If you want a supply it is available for a small fee.
The sites in the park are bare. No grass grows here. There were no trees and the wind blew strongly enough to shake our motor home.
The amenities are adequate. There is no hot water in the basins so it was a tepid water shave. The showers appear to be coin operated but I think the machines have been disconnected, unless I was just lucky. That said, the shower was poor and it was difficult to rinse the soap off.

We stayed for 3 nights under their shade covered sites. It certainly helped in the 40 degree days. The pool was enjoyed in the hot afternoons The amenities block was near new and very clean. Laundry was 5 $1 coins. The water here is of excellent quality the town prides itself on it and it's mostly renewable energy. Would stay here again

A great park that managed to keep the dirt and dust down despite the conditions (and it was windy when we were there). Friendly staff and discounts at local places (petrol at the independent next door ended up cheaper than at the Caltex and BP down the road.
Pool was inviting and under cover. Camp kitchen was one of the best I’ve seen - even a microwave, kettle and toaster!
Tight security (don’t forget the code when you go to the loo!) that was comforting.

Staff very friendly and park clean. Secure gating and you are locked in. Coober Pedy is what it is... Noisy with hoons, but thats Coober Pedy. Sites have power and water is available at an extra cost. Facilities clean enough for a dust bowl area.

We stayed 2 nights. The staff went above & beyond in my view.
They helped with getting a plumber, delivered some border pass printouts, and even rang the motel where we were doing 1 night at an underground motel experience, and asked them if they had room to park the van!!
Amenities very clean & modern.
Only negative is we were given site 2 that was under a big shade cloth structure that needed poles & cross rods every site, these made the sites a bit too narrow. However were flat & level.
Again can’t rave about the friendly staff enough, they were so friendly & helpful!!!
