Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely small hotel, very clean and friendly, nice sunset views, just a shame no food available on site, easy to access tourist spots from and eateries. They have a great walk up to the tops. Great experience underground, would def stay here again.

Room Tip: We take our own coffee, milk, cereal and nibbles, so not having food on site was no biggie for us.

We stayed for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, and a pleasant temperature, nice and cool no need to use the aircon. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay her again.

I reserved rooms 18 and 22 (see pics) for our stay. The seemingly bland exterior totally threw us with the immaculate condition of the inside decor. Great rooms, scenic view from the roof and great local knowledge

It was a lovely surprise to enter the cave where the accommodation was located. Unique, cool, clean and tastefully decorated. Our room was comfortable and we welcomed the shower and bathroom after camping in the desert. The owner was delightful and accommodating. We were grateful of the laundry room and service. The hotel is conveniently located to the town and places to eat. I had wanted to experience this unique accommodation for years s after reading an article on Cooperpedy in an inflight magazine from UK . I was not disappointed as the Lookout exceeded my expectations. Loved it and would highly recommend.

Firstly, the reception we received at check in was the friendliest, and we were given plenty of information about the attractions in the area, and advised of discounts available for fuel, food or tours. And the accomodation was superb. The entry down the corridor was speccy. And the room well appointed and so quiet. Loved the experience.

Absolutely amazing experience staying in this location. Really comfortable facilities, friendly owner and unique accommodation. Great nights sleep in the pitch black!!! Stayed in the two bedroom apartment which was well equipped and great to have drinks out front or on the roof top looking out over Coober Pedy and watching the sunset :)
