Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Awesome hotel, good location, great breakfast buffet, service, valet and mini bar. Way better than other hotels like Pullman. Has less facilities like no pool but still okay due to the service and location and the bathroom facilities were nicer

We stayed here for one night after crossing from Perth on the Indian Pacific train. We arrived at 8am desperately hoping we could access our room early. The cheery receptionist (long dark hair, sorry didn’t catch her name) offered us a room immediately and was so pleased to be able to help us. The room was extremely comfortable and hotel is ideally located to explore the riverside area. On check out, the same receptionist told us how pleased she was to have helped us. She made our stay!

I stayed here for a few days for my birthday in a Mayfair Suite. Upon arrival we were welcomed and able to check in early. The room was neatly presented and offered a lovely sitting area. Well worth the upgrade for a few days stay. The beds here are fantastic, like a fluffy cloud and one of the main reasons I return as well as the complimentary mini bar. I chose to valet park which was simple and never had to wait long for the vehicle. I ate in the restaurants a few times and found food was delicious and service excellent. At lunch I was even presented with a piece of cake for my birthday. It was a 5 star stay for me. Well done Mayfair!

We booked the restaurant today for a friends 60th birthday. We enjoyed a high tea. Amazing service, with attention to detail for a friend with allergies. Beautiful quiet spot in the restaurant with a delightful table setting. Lovely food, and such generous servings! Excellent service. And a beautiful desert plate and candle birthday surprise. Excellent value for money. Also very cute little individual teapots, cups and saucers. Thank you so much. We had a lovely lovely day.

Underwhelming to say the least. Location and parking was atrocious. Rooms ok but not really ideal for 2 adults to share with a 14 year old in same bed, and yes they could not have known nor did we choose to raise the issue. Would I return, no no reason to.

Very swish looking in reception area as you'd expect from a high rated hotel. The room was a good size although the bed could have bern bigger and I'd have thought there would be black out curtains to block out early morning light. There wasn't and hence we woke early. As we stayed on the night of 1st January we decided to book for the hotel restaurant (the Den) as we weren't sure what eateries would be open. Although the food was of good quality the service was very slow. 45 minutes for the starters to arrive .... bread, feta and olives and 4 cooked king prawns. We were asked if we wanted drinks but no drinks menu provided so we made do with water. We were then asked if we'd like more water and despite stating that we would none was brought to the table. At the time we arrived for our table booking there were only 6 couples in the restaurant so by no means could the restaurant be classed as busy (I'd hate to see it if it was given the slow service).... yes I realise it was New Year's day and skeleton staffing numbers however, when paying a public holiday surcharge also I'd gave expected a better experience ..... it's the little things that matter....
