Stayed here in a king room for three nights recently. Unfortunately, due to needing two COVID tests while staying in Adelaide I ended up spending far more time in my hotel room due to needing to isolate until negative results were returned (fortunately, negative each time), but it was a nice room in which to spend this time in.
This hotel is on South Terrace, a short walk from the South Terrace tram stop, so you can get into the city without needing to drive, find and pay for a park which is a nice plus. It’s opposite the parklands and a playground so if you have small children this can be a good amusement to get out of the hotel.
Check in is next door at the Terrace Hotel, where you can get a pass for free parking for the duration of your stay which is nice. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to guarantee a park - I'm not sure if it was a case of the parking passes\tickets not being enforced (I noted a few cars with no pass or ticket one night) or the parks being overflow from the Terrace Hotel, and one night I had to park on the street. Parking is untimed at night however you only get two hours during the day so you would need to move your car ASAP in the morning.
The rooms are wonderfully renovated - it's an older motel building but they've been done up inside and out with new paint, furniture and fixtures which make it look and feel excellent. There's an individually controlled split system in each room which was quiet and kept the room comfortable. Plenty of power points and dedicated USB charge points with the ones next to the bed, plus extra USB charging points in the Bluetooth enabled alarm clock.
The bed was quite comfortable, excellent pillows (quite high which I like, however this is not to everyone's taste!) and an extra blanket in the cupboard if needed. The shower was amazing, and the provided toiletries were nice. The TV is a nice, big smart TV with the relevant streaming apps plus local free to air, just make sure to sign out of any apps you sign into! (Hopefully, this is checked on checkout by staff to prevent accidental misuse by future guests.)
As mentioned by other reviewers, light tends to come in around the edge of the windows at night due to the bright outdoor lighting, so this is something to be mindful of if you are sensitive to light at night.
While the stay was nice there a couple of things that could be done as minor improvements. It would be nice if there was more cutlery in the room than two teaspoons, for takeout or other snacks. The do not disturb\please make up the room signs also tended to get blown off the door handles - it might be worth looking at either a weightier design, or a different design altogether, to prevent this.
I’d happily stay here again and will definitely consider it for future trips to Adelaide. The price was quite reasonable, the location is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable and nicely renovated.

We stayed in a Double Double room. The rooms have been refurbished nicely and it's a great experience to be able to drive up and park in front of your room which is very convenient. The rooms have smart TV's that allow you to use your own streaming Apps which is great although the internet kept dropping out every 5 minutes or so which was annoying. The blind isn't quite wide enough on the window in the room, so unfortunately light comes into the room overnight. It was nice to have a pod machine in the room but limited to two pods only per day. Breakfast was over at The Terrace Hotel which was a bit confusing to find initially. (Signage could be better and we tried to enter through the events room which of course was locked before realising we had to walk around on the footpath.) The food was excellent at breakfast, the smoky bacon to die for, although the coffee machine wasn't great. The milk was all curdled in our coffees and I had to advise staff who changed the milk over. We got the breakfast package but we were told we had to get coffee from the automatic machine. It would have been nice to be able to get proper coffees from the Espresso machine that sat unused on the bar. Saturday breakfast was extremely busy and we were lucky to get a seat, and then had breakfast whilst a line of 15 people stood around waiting to be seated. The ordering system is very clunky so when you want to order from the menu you have to go back to the front desk which is where the line for people trying to get into the restaurant is so you end up standing around waiting forever to order. There is an unused POS machine inside the restaurant and this should be used for taking orders and the front POS should be used for signing in guests to the Cafe. On the second day our room wasn't cleaned until about 4pm (cleaning meant making the beds but not vacuuming the floor) and we had to call reception to get more toilet paper, coffee pods, soap and toiletries that weren't replaced. We would visit again due to the fantastic location, modern rooms and ease of parking. There are obviously some teething issues with service that need to be sorted out but overall happy with our stay.

We had the opportunity to stay in a king size room with breakfast included courtesy of a great state accomadation voucher. It was great to see the transformation of the old motel. From the warmth and professional welcome from Janet on checkin to Jane s help at breakfast in the morning it was faultless. Big shoutout to housekeeping for an immaculate room with all the treats. Thankyou all it was agreat escape for us

Recently refurbished Country Comfort Hotel on South Terrace. I booked an HM King Room and was more than impressed. Check in is at The Terrace just next door. Here you will get your ticket to display in your car for the free onsite parking. Bonus! Air conditioning was on when I entered the room, thank goodness, because it was HOT outside.. A very spacious room with a comfortable bed, huge flat screen TV, coffee pod machine ( you might want to bring extra yourself as there are only 2 pods per day ), bar fridge. One thing the hotel should consider is providing a tea towel in the room so we don't have to leave dirty cups for the cleaning staff. The ensuite was huge and has everything you need. I was impressed with the in room tablet ( complete with welcome message) on the bedside table. You can use it to check out the hotel's facilities, weather details, etc. All this with views of parklands and playgrounds across the road, nearby trams and buses just minutes away from the city centre. I will certainly be back.

We stayed for one night towards the end of our Central Australia trip. Checking in and out was easy with friendly staff. The room was excellent. Generous size. Great size TV and good Wi-fi. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure, We did have breakfast at the Terrace hotel and it was a very busy Sunday morning. My breakfast was great but my husband's scrambled eggs was more an omelette. It was a sign of a kitchen under a lot of pressure. As with most places, more staff was required.

This is my go-to hotel in Adelaide - it's a great location, rates are good (especially if you book in advance) and free parking is always a plus!
This was a fairly spur of the moment trip for me, having decided the Monday prior to a long weekend that a trip to Adelaide to catch up with some friends and family. I was able to get a good rate despite the late booking, and was able to avail myself of a daily $25 food and beverage credit through the EVT Stays program as a promotion.
As usual, the room was in good condition, the bed was as comfortable as I remember (seriously, one of the best hotel beds I have slept in!) and the pillows were perfect as well. A nice touch: daylight savings started the day after I arrived and there was a note in the room noting this and the direction in which the clocks went.
There's new toiletries in the bathroom including liquid hand soap, not sure what scent they are (apricot?) but they smelt great and didn't dry out my hands. The shower is also amazing, with a great shower head that can be adjusted for more of a mist style or a standard shower style.
Parking was no issue for this stay, I was always able to get a park in the car park, usually very near the ground floor room I was in.
I used the daily food and beverage credit for breakfast each morning at Ela next door at the Alba Hotel (where one also checks in) and had a great breakfast - first day I had delightful waffles and the second an amazing ham and cheese croissant.
I do have a couple of suggestions though, all very minor:
* More cutlery in the room would be great. There was only one teaspoon in the room, and that wasn't changed out after I'd used it (in fairness I probably didn't make it clear that I had used it). Reception was able to get me another spoon when I asked but having extra, as well as maybe forks and knives, might be useful for e.g. take out from elsewhere.
* The pillows on the bed are great! But there were only two pillows on the bed, more would be nice. (This is almost certainly just a "me" problem as I have a tendency to like to "nest" with four or so pillows.)
* The TVs still have previous guests signed into Netflix etc. on them, something that's been a consistent thing since I started staying here. It would be good if they were checked once guests left and signed out, or alternately a different TV setup that prevents this from being an issue.

I love this motel, the transformation renovation is amazing, will stay here everytime. Conveniently located to transport, eateries, and so much more. The room is tastefully decorated, the beds are so comfortable, pillows are to my liking, they have thought of every little detail, mini bar is required, ample tea and coffee, as well as coffee maker. Shower is good, walk in, the bathroom is compact, but has everything you need. ;Towels are lovely and soft, and good quality shampoos etc. Table and chairs, and the chairs are actually comfortable to sit in. What more can I say, love it.

I arrived at 9.30a asking only if I can park our car in the car park. Not only could I do that, a room was made available to us at 9.30am. Unheard of kindness. The reception gentleman was kind and understanding and we could not believe when he said a room was available. We have travel far and wide and never have we been treated so generously, simply fantastic. Thank you all.

We stayed overnight after returning into Adelaide on the Ghan, we were leaving very early the next morning.
It seems to be two hotels in one, we were in the Hotel Motel section, but there is one reception area. Plus a small dining
Area.
We were earlier than the check in time of 2pm, we appreciated having a room available for us, it was a great bed, bathroom all recently
Renovated. All we needed for our one night stay. It seemed to be full when we were leaving on the Sunday morning, but we didn’t hear any noise.
We had asked for a ground floor room, as bringing our cases etc down stairs at 6.30 am would have be difficult, thank you for that.
