The hotel garners appreciation for its amenities, including complimentary breakfast and a swimming pool, although there are suggestions to update Wi-Fi and décor. While the staff receives accolades for their exceptional service, the overall atmosphere of the hotel receives mixed reviews, with some guests finding charm in its cleanliness and comfort, but others pointing out the need for modern updates.

Detailed Reviews
You can walk to the CBD in less than 10mins, the bakery, which is 1min away is open 24hr and has everything from pie floaters to giant oversized doughnuts. Italian restaurants everywhere.
IKEA 20mins away, Glenelg beach 25mins, Harbour town 23mins, Adelaide oval 16min walk.
As you can see location is everything and as a bonus this hotel is clean, very comfortable and very welcoming. I stay here at least twice a year for business and same for pleasure, you simply can't bet the quality, location and rates. Excellent.
When booking make sure you ask to reserve your car park!

Great location for New Years fireworks .... either walk into town or catch the free connector bus which runs every 30 mins. North Adelaide is much nicer to stay in than the CBD. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from on your door step so very easy for families with kids.

We got a good price of $101 per night including a simple breakfast and at this price its not bad.
The place is quite old and run down. Maintenance doesn't seem a priority. The exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working. We told them on the first day but nothing was done for the three days we stayed there. No window in the bathroom either.
The clientele staying there also seems pretty rough. There was a lot of noise at all times of the day and night.
On the plus side the room was big, the bed was comfortable and the pool and spa were working and very nice on a hot day.
Breakfast was simple but pretty good. Ham, cheese and egg muffin with coffee was a good choice.
Another hotel using COVID as an excuse not to do daily room cleaning.
In summary, not bad for a cheap hotel but the comfort inn around the corner is much better. Unfortunately it was booked out this time.

The room is comfortable and clean, staff is nice. They offer cookies in the lobby, they were pretty good. They have a cat in the lobby, he is very friendly also. Location is convenient, it is right next to a gas station and a Starbucks. walkable to few restaurants. They also offer coupons to one of them. Just they provide soft water, it is hard to wash with soap.

Booked pet room with breakfast online first time taking dog with us
Got there at 8pm I informed them that there was only 2 of us not 3 but got charged for 3 as can’t refund because I had pre paid then they informed me even tho pre paid I had to then pay extra $50 for having a dog. Got in room which was clean, reviews said there would be dog bed, bowl and even a treat but nothing so don’t know what extra $50 was for. Carpet was a bit stained but no smell. Meant to get breakfast but there was nothing and reception was closed with lights out at 9. Son went to reception next morning and they wanted to charge us again for breakfast couldn’t be bothered arguing, so we just left. Location was good, room ok but disappointed with everything else

Dear Sherpa The room you booked online with a three person bed and breakfast room which is the same price for double or triple occupancy. Booking a pet friendly room is clearly identified on booking.com as an extra charge and there is no mention of a dog bowl or dog bed on booking.com or our own website. The restaurant was open from 0700 to 0930 for breakfast and your name and room number was documented on the daily breakfast report as complimentary breakfast. During the months of June - August we offer complimentary breakfast to all guests therefore no charge would have been applicable regardless of whether you enquired in the morning or otherwise. Finally our reception hours are clearly listed on all websites, in room and at reception as 0700 to 2100. With kind regards Bree

Rooms are clean & well serviced, however I am currently in room 118 & when I arrive each afternoon there is an odor from the bathroom, which takes approx. 1 hour to clear once I open the window. This may be because the bathroom has no exhaust fan.
I have stayed at the Adelaide Inn several times over several years & have always been happy

Stayed in rm 117 clean and homely,
We could smell cigarette smoke in our room every now and then, i think it was coming through the air con which was bringing it in from outside the alley way near customers laundry entrance. Bathroom/toilet needed an exhaust fan. Need to change single power socket to double and have extra in room.
Cleaning staff were very noisy early in the morning. If you need a car park remember to mention it when booking or you will have to park on the street.

Dear 990admin thank you for your feedback, I am pleased to know you enjoyed our newly renovated standard queen rooms. I do apologise for the inconvenience of the smell of cigarettes, we are a no smoking hotel and in the process of having appropriate signage placed around the hotel and guidance of designated area for where guest can smoke. I have spoken to the housekeeping manager in regards to the noise in the mornings, our team starts at 8am and whilst doing their best to ensure noise is kept a minimum in respect to guest at times the trolleys and other cleaning equipment can become a little noisy for few minutes when taken around the hotel I do hope to welcome you back in the near future, I have also made note on your provide to offer you some options for car parking which might be suitable on your next stay. Located in O’Connell Street North Adelaide it is within easy walking distance to heaps of restaurants, a bakery that’s open 24/7 and the Piccadilly Picture Theatre. Our room was spacious, had tea & coffee making facilities,a bar fridge, plenty of hanging space and although our room faced O’Connell Street the street noise was minimal due to the double glazing. Reserved parking was also available for a minimal cost ($10) and the free Wi=Fi was also a nice bonus. Staff were friendly and courteous and were happy to give us some ice. Highly recommend.

This is my second time to stay overnight. My elderly mother needed to admit to hospital early next morning. The staff are so accommodating ensuring we had as easy access ground floor room and lots of tips on making our stay comfortable. Rooms are clean and reasonably quiet despite being on a main road. I would book again as great location to city.

Sorry I didn't see your question until just now. Yes there is on site parking. As for wheel chair access, I didn't see any but maybe there is a back entrance. If there is another entrance then you would need to ask for a ground floor room as there is no lift.
