Quest On Franklin is frequently lauded for its spacious and immaculate rooms, which many guests find to be well-appointed and comfortable, despite an occasional comment on a room's lack of warmth. The service at this hotel garners appreciation for its attentive and friendly staff. While its prime location proves ideal for exploring local attractions and accommodating families, some guests feel the hotel's value is diminished by additional charges for views, parking, and certain unfulfilled requests. Amenities generally receive positive remarks, though the offsite parking and certain aspects of cleanliness have room for enhancement.

From the moment we arrived our 5 day stay at Quest was a delight. Friendly staff, fabulous apartment with stunning views and everything we could wish for. We held a family get together one afternoon and staff could not have been more helpful in assisting and directing our visitors to our 13th floor apartment.
Thoroughly recommend!

Terrific location, great service and spacious apartment. I was in a one bedroom and it was very roomy. The kitchen had everything needed for a longer stay: pots, pans, appropriate utensils and even Tupperware containers. Nespresso coffee machine, coffee plunger, kettle and tea pot all provided. Plenty of storage in kitchen and a decent sized wardrobe in the bedroom.

Located just two blocks from Adelaide Central Markets and a 10-15 min walk to Rundle St and the Festival Centre.

My only criticism is that I found the service to be so thorough that it was wasteful. Eg. Bins emptied every day (replaced with new plastic bags), towels replaced daily even when left hanging, and once I returned home to the dishwasher running when it only had one plate, one bowl, one cup and one fork in it! Given the current climate emergency in Australia, this really seemed irresponsible so I asked for no more servicing after the dishwasher incident. I really hope all hotels find a solution to these wasteful practices.

Otherwise, a wonderful stay and great staff.

Quest on Franklin is in a good location, practically walking distance to all of Adelaides central attractions. Only a short walk to the Central Markets that offers a huge range of options for food or fresh produce.

The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. Our suite had 2 balcony spaces offering 180 degree views of Adelaide. The room itself is equipped with a washing machine dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave and small cooktop.

Reception staff are welcoming and pleasant.

The apartments themselves do not offer on site parking, however parking can be organised across the road for additional cost. There is also a bay directly out the front for checking in and loading/unloading your luggage.

Overall I would recommend to anyone considering the convenience of serviced apartment accomodation and would return.

Booked via Qantas app and decided to try this new and modern Quest property in Adelaide.

I was appreciative of an upgrade to a two-bed exec apartment (though as I was a single traveller, it seemed wasteful).

Good facilities for cooking, including nespresso machine, microwave and full oven/hob.

Clean and modern.

HOWEVER.... most annoyed about being slugged for $300 deposit on the room. Especially I had only paid $240 for the stay, hadn’t asked for an upgrade and was rebuffed when I challenged this excessive amount.

Challenging the $300 was then met with a comment
‘oh, yeh, I’ve overcharged you’re on the deposit. Should’ve been $100’

I asked why I couldn’t therefore receive a refund of the excessive charge. All seemed to much hassle for the check in staff to process. Apparently I have to wait 7 business days. Appalling policy and will mean I’ll never, EVER stay at a Quest property in the future.

I’ve stayed in luxurious hotels across Asia, America and Europe and they take a $1 holding fee to pay for any additional items on credit cards. Why does a mid-range Quest property think they can get away with rorting people a $300 charge. Seems Australian hotels are unhelpful and lack the customer service of other countries I visit.

We stayed for six nights with our infant and we’re truly amazed by the cleanliness of both studio and one bedroom apartment. The squeaky clean bathroom, clean carpet, fresh room odour, comfy bed and wonderful friendly staff. They also offered us with clean baby cot and clean baby high chair at no additional cost. $25 for spacious carpark space. I really have nothing to complaint about. All basic needs and satisfaction were met! Sign me up as a potential recurring customer. Two Thumbs Up! 👍🏼

Stayed here for three nights in mid December in a one bedroom apartment.

The apartment was fairly large and had a good view over the CBD skyline. The lounge room was furnished with a 2 1/2 seater lounge, a separate single lounge chair, a desk with a desk lamp and a chair and a small round dining table with three dining chairs. There was also two returns one of which had the flat screen TV on top of it and the other one the music/entertainment system.

The kitchenette opened out onto the lounge room and was equipped with an oven, a separate cook top, a dishwasher, full size fridge, microwave,
toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine with pods and a useful range of pots, pans, crockery and dining utensils.

The bedroom was a reasonable size and had a queen sized bed (comfortable) with bedside tables with lamps on either side of the bed. There was also a large built in wardrobe with draws, shelves, hanging space, a safe, an ironing board and an iron.

The bathroom was not overly large but adequate with the shower (pressure fine) being in the bath. There was also a washing machine and a dryer in the bathroom.

There was a balcony with a small round table and two chairs.

The apartment was very clean. WIFI was free and worked very well.

Staff on reception were friendly and helpful, particularly with storing our bags.

The Hotel was less than a five minute walk to Adelaide Central Markets and Victoria Square and a 20 minute easy walk to the Adelaide Oval.

There were also plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby.

Would definitely stay here again.

Though staff may seem friendly they seem to have very little ability to rectify issues.
1. Checked us into the wrong room (rectified)
2. Carpet was filthy (not rectified and they were not aware the floor was dirty?)
3. Cannot cast/screen share mobile device to smart TV though this is technically possible to do so. If they say you can make sure to specify the app (Netflix) and get it in writing. You can use your laptop and they will provide a HDMI cable (not rectified)
4. General apartment maintenance done during our stay (unnecessary disruption to privacy)
5. Curtain rod came off, Apparently it happens all the time... Why not fix them all properly? (rectified)
6. Dryer kept stopping. Specific setting is required which there is no sign telling you so good luck figuring it out because the friendly evening staff don't know otherwise you will need to wait till the mid morning to find the answer. (rectified)
7. Do you like balconies? Because there are great views you can see through the cobwebs along the balustrade (not rectified)
8. Dishwasher flooded apartment. If you're lucky enough the dishwasher comes with a free water fountain upgrade. Disclaimer: if you get the water fountain then dishwasher becomes out of order (not rectified)
9. Yep the dishes myth is true, I have photos to prove it so don't forget to ask for extra dish washing detergent to rewash your own dishes... besides the detergent is 'free'
10. If you raise issues during your fully paid stay just make sure you find alternative accommodation else ware first so when the friendly staff offer to 'cancel the remainder of your booking free of charge' as a great solution at least you will have a choice and say yes.

We were very pleased with the appartment location as it enabled us to walk to our event without difficulty, we were also able to visit the Central Market and many eating places within a short distance of our appartment. The young members of our group were in awe of the views from thier room and the facilities that they had available to them. We utilised the delivery service from three possible restraunts which made eating before our Musical event effortless. In general a wonderful weekend was had by us all.

This hotel presents well and they tend to provide the finer attention to detail.

The staff were every friendly and helpful.

The room was spacious and made up every day, the hotel is situated centrally to the all main restaurants with Adelaide and has plenty of car parks.

On the last night the hotel charged an additional accommodation charge of $692 to my credit card without warning. This put my account into negative balance and prevented me from using my card for anything else. Staff advised refund would be revered that day but several days later I still cannot use this account. Bank confirms up to 7 days for refunds to be processed, which staff did not seem to care about as "refund had been processed from hotel side". Such an oversight when charging accounts that leave customers without money for up to a week is unacceptable.

Hi, there is no room service meals cooked on the premises. There are breakfast packs available but you are in the middle of Adelaide CBD and there are plenty of good food outlets. Close by there is a cafe two entrances down (50m) and in the opposite direction there is a really nice bar/restaurant called Publishers. Other recommendations a bit further away is Peel St which is a great place to wander down, lots of food variety and nice little bars. Hope this helps

Where is the best place to park our car?
Answer from Colin M
Adelaide, Australia648 contributions186 helpful votes
Hotel has spaces in car-park behind the hotel. There is a side entrance right near the car-park for entrance to hotel and they allocate a swipe card for the car-park entrance which operates the roller door and foyer door for when you need to retrieve your car. If no spaces their there is a car-park above the bus station across the road and yet another car-park around the corner from that.
