Detailed Reviews
We stayed there for 1 night on the 7th April. Within walking distance of Adelaide Oval, shops, restaurants, Cafes, Womens and Childrens Hospital and a short free bus ride to the city,
A lovely warm welcome from the hosts. A free continental breakfast in a breakfast room, well set out with white and brown bread for toasting, 4 different cereals, tinned fruit, OJ and a coffee machine.
Our room was comfortable, with an ensuite, air con, fridge, wifi, coffee and tea facilities, 2 chairs and a small table and a tv. Free parking on premises and across the road from a childrens playground.

+1
Loved it! The rest of our road trip was mostly motels, so this was what I’d say is more of a B&B. The building is so quaint and lovely, and the managers are fantastic. The free city connector bus is about 50 metres from the front door, so everything is accessible, and there’s a great strip of restaurants/cafes about 2 blocks away. The only negative would be it’s an old building so there is a bit of noise.. just footsteps up the stairs etc, nothing crazy. We’ll definitely stay again the next time we visit Adelaide!

Motel had everything we needed, clean room, comfortable beds, nice complementary breakfast, convenient quiet location at a good price. The free connector bus was literally two minutes walk away and only a few minutes ride to Rundle Mall.
Very nice owners too.

Very bad place to go.I cannot understand why this hotel has got a good rating .Maybe we just got there at a bad time .We checked for 2 days . Did not explain anything about the hotel . After we settled in and had dinner , there was a lot of noise coming from the top room above us. E.G Thumping on the floor above . Went to the front desk and told them and told her ,(long blonde hair ) and she said she knows what is going on , they were 3 musicians .She said she would talk to them . The noise did not stop.
The fridge in the room was a small bar fridge and put in some fresh small goods and frozen prawns, cheese, and dips.We tried to put the prawns in the freezer but the whole freezer was frozen thick with ice and could even open the freezer door .Went to the breakfast which was bread still the the wrapper , jam , butter ,orange and apple juice with breakfast cereal and tin peaches.Coffee and tea. Just a low end continental breakfast. We went back to the room and my wife wanted a coffee and went the to fridge and noticed the fridge door was opened about 4 cm. and the it was not cold inside . Went to the front counter and asked to do something and the blonde hair girl said "what do you want me to do" So I went to talk the a young man and he said he will put the produce in their kitchen freezer. Did not even come to look. Next day my wife went to the breakfast room to make a coffee and there was no fresh milk. So she asked the girl with the blonde hair said you should have milk in your room , there was none .so she got the little tub of long life milk. We asked after we got back from a good day out we had to ask for clean towels and empty rubbish and asked to they clean everyday day and she replied they clean every 5 days . . The sink is not in the bathroom as it is near the bed , when we checked out I walked int the hotel kitchen to get our food, and seen a young girl and told her about the fridge and she came and looked straight away and said this should have been fixed.Oh if you wanted a toilet on the bottom floor they were not working .. Other people in the breakfast room were doing some sort of complaining too about the toilets .

The proximity to Adelaide Oval and the CBD whilst still being nestled in a quiet part of North Adelaide and overlooking a park were all just added bonuses on what was a very enjoyable stay at the Princes Lodge. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, friendly staff and a free Continental breakfast thrown in, what could be better than that. Definitely would stay here again if I were to return to Adelaide.

There was some bad things: bad smell, rooms not 100% clean, sink not draining well. But the location and staffs as well are rates are the good things. Very friendly receptionist told us all about locality and different places to go eat.

I booked this motel on a last minute deal, it looked lovely and well priced. However an employee proceeded to calm me and yell at me for using the wrong card, forcing me to cancel my booking. I have never been spoken to like this and was shocked. This is appalling and I would not recommend this to anyone.

Beautiful old Italianate building now operating as a Lodge. Is a bit run down but lovely operators willing to help with your enquiries. Very large single bed but extremely small bathroom. Had to sit on toilet side ways. Lovely shower though.

I recently stayed at the Princes Lodge Motel in Adelaide. I chose the motel as it was in the budget end of the market and it was close to Adelaide's Womens and Childrens Hospital.
I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of fit of my room, which had been renovated recently. The manager was friendly and she made me feel welcome.
I would recommend this motel as great value, particularly for the person who wants a personal atmosphere and a pleasant setting for their stay.

As Juden69 has advised the best option to get to our Motel from the airport is a Taxi which will cost approx. $30 in busy times and less out of peak.
Once here there is the free city connector service 98A and 98C is approx. 300 metres from our door or other bus services a little further away on O'Connell street which has restaurants cafes bars and supermarket.
Sorry for the delayed response. There is a free shuttle service that operates between 9am and 6pm each day from the Franklin Street Bus Station. Adelaide Metro 98A or 98C alight at Tynte Street Stop 6 then walk around the corner 200 m to us.
We do not offer airport transfers. Metro buses to city then to North Adelaide or a taxi is the best option.
