Stayed 3 nights in September 2024. The check-in process was smooth and very friendly, with my friend and I checking in separately. We had requested to be located in adjoining rooms, which was able to be done.
The room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows not too soft. The room was quite well laid out, but with the TV on the table. This meant that anything put down had to be moved aside to watch the TV.
Most of the hotel info is available on the TV, which needs a level of technical know-how.
The bathroom was well laid out, with a good sized bath, separate large shower, and blind for privacy from the room itself.
There was a spot for a suitcase, and lots of wardrobe space.
The lights were a bit difficult to work out, with the bedside buttons not turning off all the lights in the room.
The hotel lets you choose whether to keep your towels and sheets for environmental reasons, which is easy and great - especially for only 3 nights.
There was a little bit of noise from across Waymouth St on the Friday and Saturday nights, but it was bearable. The curtains were good for blocking out light.
The hotel asks that you leave recycling on the floor next to the bin - a small dual-bin would be a great addition to keep things looking tidier.
The location was convenient for the free tram, easy car parking across the road, and e-scooters for micromobility. The market is very close to talk to.
I didn't use the restaurant, room service or gym/pool. The reception area could be a bit noisy, with so many reflection surfaces echoing noises around. The staff were always helpful and friendly, even when very rushed. A special shout-out to Brian for helping us out a few times.

We stayed at Peppers twice – for one night on the way through to Kangaroo Island, and for 3 more nights after returning from KI. It’s a very modern hotel, with nice rooms. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious, with a nice walk-in shower and a full tub. There was plenty of space to hang clothes in 2 closets, plus a large safe that easily took laptops and all other devices, etc. The king bed was very comfortable and nights were nice and quiet (11th floor).
The restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although we didn’t have lunch there, the breakfast buffet was good, and the dinner menu had several very nice dishes that our 2 couples tried.
The hotel is situated in the downtown core area, so is close to public transit and shopping. We hopped a free tram to explore the old northern half of the city core, well worth doing.
So why only 4 stars instead of 5, given how nice we found this hotel. First, upon our arrival back from Kangaroo Island, we inquired if the hotel had laundry service. The front desk clerk told us no, and the closest laundromat was a 5 minute drive away. The night before checking out, I opened one of the closets and discovered laundry bags and forms to fill out.
Secondly, we arrived and discovered that our rooms did not include breakfast. The cost was quoted as something like $36 pp per day, but could be reduced to $28 if we committed and paid right now. The excessive cost of included breakfasts at hotels is a pet peeve of mine. There’s just no justification to charge that amount for the buffet they offer, complete with the horrible scrambled “eggs” if that’s what you call that yellow stuff. Granted, you could request eggs prepared another way, but the one time we did that it took 10 minutes to get a fried egg and the place wasn’t busy.
Despite those 2 small irritants, I’d definitely recommend this place, and would go back there again myself.

Dear 635rodh, Thank you for your detailed review! We are delighted to read about your recent stay at Peppers Waymouth and are thrilled that you had a wonderful time. It's great to see that you enjoyed your room and our location. Whilst we're glad to hear that you enjoyed our restaurant for the most part, I am sorry that you felt the price was above expectation for brekfast. Regarding laundry, whilst we don't have an on-site laundry, guests can arrange for clothes to be washed/dry cleaned with our external dry cleaners and apologise if this was not explained clearly during your stay. We thank you again for choosing Peppers Waymouth Hotel and look forward to welcoming you back next time! Kind regards, Emma Barry

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
As the hotel name suggests, it is located on Waymouth Street. Convenient to walk to major landmarks like Adelaide Central Markets and Adelaide Oval. Lots of good restaurants located close by.
The service is friendly at this hotel.
I had booked a Peppers Deluxe Room. Key card access required in lift which was good. The room is really large with lots of room but not sure if the space was as well utilised as it could be. The work desk seems to have been moved from a space near entrance to be used as a table for the tv. The bed was comfortable. There is a Juliet balcony and nice to be able to open it up for fresh air. The bathroom is large and had a separate shower and bath with a large window overlooking the bedroom. There is a blind for privacy. There is a Nespresso machine in the room. Please note although they provide the coffee pods, they are charged per pod. You will also notice that they provide free instant coffee so take note of that.
There was an indoor pool, sauna, and gym. The pool was out of action due to renovations.
My friend and I has some drinks at the Tutto Cucina + Bar which is their in house restaurant and bar. It was very busy but it was a nice place to enjoy a drink or a meal if you have some time.
Although there are a few niggles here and there, I would still recommend hotel due to location and service.

Stayed in a deluxe room with a tiny corner balcony (barely 1 person could fit in the area), lots of nice big windows with blockout curtains.
Sad to say cleanliness was not great, I found a long black hair by the bed pillow, another 2 on the bathroom floor, and another one stuck to the shower wall (ick!). The throw cushion on the bed had a white stain on the back of it, I hate to think what that was!
Bathroom was spacious and will equipped the water pressure in the shower & the water temp was fantastic.
Air conditioning wasn't effective, with the sun on the windows most of the day, it took a long time to cool the room, and the high fan option had to be used which was very noisy at that level.
The walls are thin, I asked for a quiet room, which I got, however that joy was shortlived as the person's bed in the adjacent room backed onto where my bed was and the snoring was REALLY loud! So wished there was better insulation in the wall.
The spa and pool were adequate, though spotted another hair on the floor by the spa, not sure why the cleaners keep missing stray hairs everywhere? The male cleaners came in and cleaned the pool area while I was there, I was alone, as it was a little confronting having 2 men cleaning there while I was there in my bathers, I'd rather they came back after I left.
Breakfast was not my ideal, I waited over 10 mins to be seated, and the tables hadn't been cleared. Whilst it was a good buffet selection, you had to pay for a freshly made coffee, they had a self serve coffee machine which was not my standard. I had a special order for eggs the way I like (only scrambled was on offer) and it took at least 25 mins. I asked before this if they were ready, but I think they just forgot to put them on. Staff here really need to be more attentive.
The hotels location is perfect for the city, close to the Central Market, and a tram stop away from Rundle Mall.

Just finished a stay at Peppers Waymouth in Adelaide (Gold Accor+) Room was upgraded to Premium (without asking 😄) - huge spacious room. Welcome gift of water and several snack size protein-type bars. Reception staff very friendly & helpful - could not fault! Restaurant delicious, high quality Italian fare - lovely friendly staff too. Circumstances meant I missed trying breakfast but reports on that are great. Pool & spa nice and quiet when I visited, a lovely calm & soothing way to end my busy day. Car parking is at Topham Mall carpark just across the road, very easy - unlimited in & out $30/day.
Location is a VERY short walk to the spine of the CBD (King William St) and the tram line, and then it's just another 5 mins walk to Rundle Mall & Hindley St.
Very happy with my stay 🤗 and would definitely recommend!

The premium room we booked was on a high floor, very spacious, had beautiful tiled bathroom, comfortable chairs, small table and plenty of storage space, perfect for a longer stay. With our room rate we were given a drink voucher each per day plus one $50 voucher to go towards a meal. Full breakfast was also included. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was refurbished to a high quality about 2 years ago. The entire staff were friendly and helpful, especially Lucy on the front desk. We dined each evening at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed our meals. With the restaurant being small, it is essential to book a table in advance. Location was quiet, only 8 minute walk to main shopping area. Thank you for a most enjoyable 4 day stay. We look forward to returning.

We stayed at the Peppers Waymouth Hotel the first night that we arrived from the United States.
The hotel is convenient to many restaurants, and the Adelaide Central Market is only about a ten-minute walk.
They do charge $45 Australian dollars for valet parking, but they picked our car up and dropped it off exactly when we needed it, so it was well-worth it. After all, parking in a city is not cheap.
The hotel is beautiful and our room was very nice. The lobby, elevators, hallways, and our room were all nicely decorated and very clean. We had a king-size bed and the bedding and mattress were extremely comfortable! The room was quiet and we got a great night's sleep.
We had a later ferry to Kangaroo Island the next day, so we asked for a late checkout (standard checkout is 10:00) and they graciously allowed us to stay until noon at no extra charge.
We got a great night's sleep and were ready to head out for our vacation the next morning.
We were very happy with our stay at Peppers Waymouth! If you are looking for a great hotel in Adelaide, look no further!

Brilliant accommodation. LOVED it here. Gym was brilliant, breakfast excellent and the location. Brilliant with everything really!!! On par with Pullman and Sofitel absolutely excellent effort. GREAT place to stay. I couldn't ask for more from this location and the convenience across the road offers cheap breaks burger if you want a on-the-go option $5. This place is a GEM in the rough.

The place immediately stank when lift opened at 3rd floor . Fridge has mould and wasn't even cold and air-conditioner wasn't operating correctly . The carpets were srained from possibly shower overspill due to poor design and during the stay because of this I contracted a respiratory infection and ended up in hospital . Contacted hotel managers to discuss and they denied any liability or fault despite my documented evidence and concern for public safety Requested refund as also charged me well above advertised rate on room which refused to change when advised air conditioning malfunctioning and was not acknowledged in any way .

We stayed at Peppers for one night while seeing the Chihuly exhibition at the Botanic Gardens. A really friendly and helpful gentleman checked us in and provided a great first impression. Generally throughout the stay all staff interactions were really pleasant.
The common areas in the hotel have a bit of a 90's cruise ship feel to it and the rooms are comfortable, clean and practical. The pool and spa while on the small side were fun and provided a vantage point for watching what's going on below on the street.
Breakfast was a bit of a miss even with the Accor discount and although we called down for additional towels before heading out for the night, these never turned up. Also, the temperature control in the room seemed to be temperamental when adjusting it and caused the room to fog up setting off one of the sensors.
It was a convenient and central choice with perfectly comfortable rooms and solid customer service. Would I stay for an experience itself, probably not, but it ticked the boxes for what we needed for quick weekend away.
