The Comfort Hotel Adelaide Meridien stands out for its value, with numerous guests applauding its affordability, especially when taking advantage of discounts through the hotel’s app. Its prime location garners consistent praise for being close to city hotspots and offering free parking, though the amenities and rooms, while spacious, could benefit from updates according to some visitors. The service at the hotel earns rave reviews for its professionalism and friendliness, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere, and while cleanliness is generally celebrated, a few suggest the spa area needs more attention.

great location and I have previously stayed at the location and have always found the hotel and staff easy to get along with and gain access. Lots of restaurants and places to eat, all beautiful quality with great flavor with the standout the chilli fried eggs

An enjoyable stay with friendly staff willing to answer questions and follow up with service related matters. The only negative was the shower facility. As a below the right leg amputee I needed a pull down seat, shower bench or shower chair so I could safely use the shower. Non of these items were provided in the room/shower. Hotel staff quickly found a sturdy plastic chair that could be used in the shower. Perhaps a matter or observation for management to consider to ensure their disability rooms make considered provision for people who are mobility impaired.

Thank you for the review of your recent stay. Shower chairs are available and put in rooms when requested. I think I know what you mean by a pull down shower seat and that is something to consider to put in our disability rooms. Appreciate you bringing that to our attention. I do hope to see you again in the near future.

I chose the Meridien for it's location in relation to Adelaide oval as my Wife and I, along with a few hundred other fire fighters, we invited to a free night at the BBL Adelaide Strikers game on Australia day. We had traveled to Adelaide from the country. The staff were very good and pleasant to communicate with on arrival, and our room was clean and tidy. We were able to lock our vehicle away at the rear of the complex making it safe, and we enjoyed the walk to Adelaide oval early evening for the cricket match, and the walk back late at night after the the game. We left the following day for our 2 hour drive home. A very enjoyable weekend. We will do it all again using the Meridien Hotel.

Price is very reasonable tempered by the fact that the Kitchenette and Bathrooms are very aged. Easy access by car to all areas around Adelaide and short walk to the free bus service to the city. The restaurant “Angus & Co” was excellent, great food well priced.

Everytime I come to this hotel it gets better. The rooms are well set out and I love the view of the hills from the large balcony at the back of room. I spend most of my time in the big bath soaking and watching stuff on my laptop all powered by their internet. The room has been updated since my last visit to include a new smart tv, heating and an alarm clock that has charger ports for my mobile. The secured car park is a great bonus . With bins provided for your car rubbish (unfortunately not many places think to provide outside bins!) Service is always very helpful and check in straight forward and fast. A great place :)

The location was good, with many good bistros and cafes nearby. The in-house restaurant was good. The Deluxe king bedroom was spacious, well appointed and very clean.
However, my main reason for choosing this hotel was for the balcony and, unfortunately, there were two factors that I did not consider - firstly, smokers also choose this hotel because of the balcony and the balconies are side by side. So,firstly, you don't have privacy. Also, when either of your neighbours is smoking on the balcony, the smoke wafts into your bedroom through your balcony door (which is your only window). Furthermore, the connected balconies are like the whispering wall. If any of your neighbours, from as far as three rooms away, is talking on the balcony, you can hear their conversation in your room. (This is especially so at 3:00am, when the night is still)
So, the balcony door ( which is your only window) has to be kept shut to keep out the noise and the smoke.
All I can suggest is that the hotel have smoking and non-smoking sections for balconied rooms, at least.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience. At this stage, smoking is still permitted on our balconies, however we do understand that this can affect other guests. We regret that it has dampened your enjoyment of your stay, along with experiencing some noise issues. Should you consider staying with us again in the future, hopefully we can find you a room in a more favorable position.

We were most disappointed with this hotel, which is beautifully positioned within walking distance of the Adelaide Oval. It is very tired, COVID protocols were indifferent (the male receptionist never put his mask over his mouth or nose & advised us not to check in every time we entered the hotel), & our room reminded us of a motel with basic amenities. On the plus side, it was great to have off-street parking & our cleaning person was good fun.

Arrived on Saturday prior to Australia Day 2021, the hotel lobby is well kept and the service very welcoming. The room was quite OK, it needs a little refurbishment here and there, the odd paint job but overall the standard was good. The kitchenette was tiny but again for us its the total experience.
The pool we noticed was heavily utilized by everyone including my Dad on the Monday, when it poured (gonna get wet anyway).
The advantage here is, its walking distance to almost everything. The cafes up the road, 5 mins walk, the parklands and Botanical Gardens a 15min stroll and the city is 30mins and scenic.
The housekeeping side was good, we felt that we could use linen sparingly for the environment.
Lastly, the bedding was standard as most expect. The 1 bedroom apt we had, the main bed was quite good but the rollout sofa, wow hard as, however we come prepared; we bring along a mattress topper just in case And after placing it there, the other nights sleep were great.
Overall for the cost per night, it was good. No issues to speak of. And we will return.

Spacious clean rooms at a reasonable price, plenty of restaurants close and easy access to city. We have found the Meridien to be great value over several visits from regional SA. The rooms are a little dated but they are well maintained.

Location is perfect and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are very spacious though a bit outdated. The bathroom was average for cleanliness. Corners of the basin and bath could have been better cleaned, resulting in me giving it a wipe down before use.

Plumbing was a bit noisy, At 6am you could hear the noise from someone showering in another room, Comfortable beds and very clean linen.

Parking was very beneficial and we always found spots.

Overall we were pleased with our booking and good value for money. We would stay here again.

Thank you for your interest in the Adelaide Meridien. Our standard rooms unfortunately do not include a kitchenette. Should you require cooking facilities you would need one of our one bedroom apartments - these are the same style as our standard but have microwave, stovetop, crockery, cutlery etc. We hope you enjoy your stay in Adelaide.
