From the moment we stepped onto the boat transfer we knew this was going to be a wonderful holiday. Hayman Island is in a class of it's own. The staff are very welcoming, respectful and professional. Early in the morning you will find that the place is being cleaned from leaves, duck droppings, etc. Each sunbed has a freshly placed towel. Breakfast is abundant. The rooms are clean. This holiday was everything we'd hoped for and more. We sat by the beach and read books. The water was a very comfortable 26deg. We loved our time at Hayman Island and look forward to going back again very soon.

We had an amazing experience on Hayman this month. As an ex employee from 30 years ago , it was magic to go back and experience the resort as a guest! The staff were so friendly , the food was exceptional, our room was so perfect, from the high end furnishings to the huge space and the magic view over the west wing pool, the welcome bottle of champagne, the little details at turn down each night, the whole experience was faultless. We engaged in plenty of activities, from diving and snorkling, to hiring a hobbie catamaran, to island walks, and use of the gym and spa . All experiences were positive , all staff were helpful and polite. We experienced exceptional service from Samantha Mountford ( EA to GM) her service was professional, nothing was ever too much trouble, her smile was endless, and her positive and CAN DO attitude was impressive, It certainly made our stay so welcoming and enjoyable . THANK YOU to you and your team, the island staff and the facilities we so enjoyed . We will be back! …

We love Hayman Island. This was our third visit ( but the last was 2001). It’s a marvellous resort and the facilities are great. The food is really good. The resort is very expensive in every way . The service, although very friendly and polite, ranges from comically bad to just ok and quite frankly,for the prices charged, this is not ok. This is because of a lack of training ( I know a general problem everywhere after COVID). At the Pacific restaurant our orders were confused and often wrong, the breakfast system where only 1 group at a time is seated - rather than a dedicated person who checks in everyone and allocates a waiter / waitress to seat the guests results in a very slow process. On 3/7 days our coffee orders were not delivered for about 20-25 minutes. Cleaning of the room was poor- floor not cleaned at all, beds badly made and items not replaced- really what one expects from a 2 star hotel - really not up to standard for a 5 star hotel. Issues are dealt with by the App but not efficiently- eg ice to the room costs $10 but our delivery - meant to take 10 minutes was said to be “dealt with” (ie not delivered) 24 hours later luckily we were not charged Our air conditioning broke down as did our Awning - both were fixed - the later twice. Nearly all faults could easily be rectified with better systems and more training of staff- however for our visit 4/5 is a generous score.…

We have just spent another magical 7 nights on Hayman Island! We holiday at Hayman every November- we love this time of year with near perfect weather! We always choose to stay in the Hayman pool suites overlooking the iconic pool- the views are simply breathtaking!! We have enjoyed the inclusion of the social sunset and it was delightful to be able to order a picnic and have a drink whilst enjoying a spectacular sunset over the water. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at all the restaurants and the Seafood Buffet at Pacific is another great addition. We love the team at Hayman and they are a huge part of the reason we holiday there every year! A huge thank you to Adrian, Kate, Seru, Pere, Atama, Josephine, Betty and Eduardo for making this trip another memorable one and for the all the efforts to make our daughter’s birthday celebrations so memorable!! We can’t wait to book our next trip back to Hayman!…

I have just spent 7 nights at Intercontinental Hayman Island. From the moment we arrived at Hamilton Island, we were greeted by the friendly Hayman team onto our luxury transfer. Once we arrived the Island, our luggage seamlessly arrived at our room whilst we were taken on a tour of the hotel facilities. Our room was clean and spacious with an amazing view of the Hayman pool and Coconut Beach. We stayed in a two bedroom pool suite on the third floor with our family of five. The food at all the restaurants was amazing and we can’t thank the Hayman team enough for making our birthday celebration so memorable. We loved the social sunset and took several hikes along the walking tracks taking in breathtaking views. Thank you to the staff who made our stay phenomenal- Adrian, Kate, Atama, Pere, Josephine, Betty, Seru, Georgina, Leon and Eduardo. I have just celebrated my 21st Birthday in the beautiful paradise that is Hayman Island. From the moment we boarded the luxury transfer to the island, the Hayman staff went out of their way to make my birthday celebration special. The view from our room was spectacular and dinner at all of the restaurants was always amazing. We enjoyed the social sunset and hired a cabana by the Hayman pool for the day! Hayman Island resort is lovely and we had a brilliant time. The transfer was lovely, meet and greet and walkabout good. At the end the departure was also efficient and pleasant. We had a one bedroom suite on level 3 (really 2nd floor) in the pool wing. The view was fantastic - I'm glad I didn't get a swim out suite on the ground floor, as the view over the bay would have been obscured by the gardens. I took a look at the beachfront pavilions (which were booked out) - very nice. It is a gorgeous beach to lie on and swim in. I loved the decor in the public spaces and in our suite. Service was generally very good. Breakfast was generally good, couple of misses with cold waffles and overcooked sausages. Pools are lovely and there seemed to be plenty of sunbeds everywhere. The hikes on the island are good, scenic views, wallabies. On a sunny day it is very hot, take lots of water. The beach activity staff were lovely, we tried the catamarans and kayaks. Paid activities we did: Bali Hai snorkelling was great, jet ski tour was great. Faults: Despite only 4 couples arriving, it took over an hour for our bags to arrive at our room (and only after I phoned). Annoying that no one from the spa returned my email, when I then tried to book in person there was nothing available. We had a dirty rug and an ottoman with an iron (??) burn on it - housekeeping replaced them but I shouldn't have had to ask. Once housekeeping forgot to give us any towels at all. Once forgot to leave milk. It was SUPER annoying that the trivia night didn't happen. About 30 guests were sitting at the bar waiting for it. We only found out it wasn't happening when one of us enquired. Everyone was very disappointed. The games need a sort out/upgrade. Overall, we loved the resort and Hayman Island. I will definitely return. The only reason I will again stay 4 nights rather than longer is the food. I found very few good healthy options. Room service, whilst limited options, was good. …
