Qualia Resort has garnered a mixed bag of feedback from its visitors. While the rooms are lauded for their comfort and views, some guests find them lacking in luxury and dated. The amenities, including a luxurious spa and private pools, generally receive high praise, although there have been instances of service falling short, especially with booked spa treatments.
Opinions on the service are split, with some guests appreciating the professional staff, while others point out service inefficiencies. The resort's value is questioned by many who expect more for the price, and cleanliness standards seem to vary.

Hotel's Favourite
We booked this last minute winter getaway with a 'stay 4 nights pay for 3' deal to celebrate our 6 month anniversary/honeymoon, and it has been amazing. We are already planning our trip back! We booked the trip to escape the Melbourne winter, but unfortunately it has been raining for most of the time we have been here. However, we haven’t even been bothered by the weather - it is just lovely to be here.
The staff here have all been SO wonderful - special thanks to Marta, Bentleigh and Stewart. Everyone we have spoken with has appeared very happy and nothing was a fuss. We received Charles Heidsieck champagne on arrival and we were given all the options for dining, activities and shown how to use the buggy - which comes with the room.
Food/drinks: The breakfast is included in the nightly rate, and has been one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. The beautiful staff encourage you to multiple things off the menu with the option to order half servings. We routinely ordered coffees to the room in the morning (no extra charge which was a nice surprise), and then walked to the long pavilion/ main restaurant for breakfast with the most stunning view. You also have the option to eat in your own room/pavilion at no extra cost.
Activities: Although it has rained most of the time we have been here, we took advantage of the complimentary activity of a beach picnic. This is where staff will take you on a boat and drop you off to a private beach on one of the nearby islands. We ordered lunch the night before to have on the picnic at a very reasonable price of $55pp and it was fantastic. When we arrived on the beach, the staff had already set up deck chairs, umbrellas, complimentary non-alcoholic drinks (can pre-order alcohol if you wish) and an esky with our lunch.
There is a fitness centre/gym which is small but with high quality equipment, treadmills, dumbbells, benches, waters, towels, showers etc. If you want a larger gym you have access to the islands main gym which is about a 5-10 min buggy ride too.
The pool is stunning. We used it while it was raining, as the water was warmer than the outside temperature.
You can also order food and drinks via QR codes poolside.
Room: We stayed in the Leeward Pavillions (the rooms without the pool) and were so happy. We stayed in #52 - highly recommend as this has full views of the ocean and feels very private. As it was raining we spent a lot of time in here just relaxing and listening to music via the inbuilt bluetooth speakers - no complaints. All non-alcoholics drinks are included, and we ordered dinner to the room one night which was great. Rooms are serviced morning and night, with a turn down service.
We will be back :) thank you so much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Qualia. The pavilions are comfortable, the turn down service with beautiful tea, chocolates, and lovely smelling diffuser add to the luxury feeling. The resort is all about the stunning location and seeing beautiful bird life, kangaroos and possums looking out to the beautiful Whitsundays location. The pool area is awesome with lovely beds around the pool and excellent pool service from the willing and helpful staff.
The downside which lost the excellent rating was that every morning one had to repeat one’s name and room number rather than feeling of being a valued guest who is known and recognized by staff.
The dinner menu never changed and was quite limited especially for those who may not eat certain items. The pastry and bread chef is outstanding.
The staff is mostly international who are traveling through australia and are trying their best but it’s apparent they have only been in their specific job a short time
The stand out staff were actually staff both from QLD being Kasey and Zac. Their hospitality skills are fantastic!
Any trips booked by the hotel are very expensive compared to prices at the marina.
We had a great time but did feel in terms of service and food choices it did fall short of other resorts of similar quality and style in Asia.
Check in is faultless - being the pick up from the airport and having a buggy at one’s disposal was great fun.

What an amazing place. Qualia is its own piece of luxury and tranquility and as close to perfection as we’ve found. It is a gated resort on the peninsula but only a 10 minute golf buggy ride from the marina (every bungalow has its own golf buggy on Qualia and the normal mode of transport for getting around the island). The bungalows are beautifully proportioned with all facilities expected of a 6* resort. Personally we weren’t in our bungalow much so the leeward bungalow was perfect for us - we didn’t miss the plunge pool etc.
Breakfast was amazing looking out across the whitsundays and the staff were excellent - attentive but informal and always happy to help.
It is expensive but in my view worth the cost for our 4 night stay.
The perfect stay thank you.

Swooping in on winter pricing, exacerbated by NSW/Vic lockdowns, we got Windward rooms at a small discount. Given the huge tariff, I keep getting asked “was it worth it?” In short, the Windward villa is beautiful with separate lounge and heated pool (Leewards are more a studio with no pool), kept in very clean state. While in Bali, labour is plentiful, to achieve similar in Oz is what you’re paying for. The other thing is that all facilities are in very good state and golf buggy is included. No kids is good if you’re chasing a getaway: feels totally different in the main Hamilton resort.
Long Pavilion food standard isn’t amazing, but Pebble Beach was great. Remember to book other Hammo restaurants and tours ASAP when booking. Qualia concierge was very helpful in doing so when I rang. Exclusive qualia boat to Whitehaven was enjoyable and champagne included with a bento lunch. The Hamilton Sports club gym is much better than qualias, and both Spas are equally good.
Overall, interested and interactive staff, with glorious weather made for a wonderful few days.

Booked a week at Qualia on the tail end of our 35 day trip and it did not disappoint.
I had quite a bit of correspondence before arrival, since we were celebrating a friends 80th birthday and I wanted to get everything “just right”. We are seasoned travelers and my OCD prefers that I leave little to “chance”. ;-)
The guest services and management were very accommodating in meeting all our needs before our arrival.
First off, the pick up service and baggage handling at the airport were exceptional. No need to grab our bags. They just were delivered to our villa.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by smiling faces including Scott, the GM, who was interacting with all the guests.
The serene natural beauty of Qualia is evident immediately upon walking into the reception area which has amazing views in many directions. Definitely the feel of a first class island resort.
Since I did a LOT of homework before arrival, I was expecting a great villa with great views. It was even BETTER than we hoped for. There are also many little service touches that make this a world class resort that are too many to list and I don’t want to ruin your fun discovering them all. Let’s just say, if you need something, the staff goes out of their way to make it happen for you and they do it with a big smile.
In addition to our friends that we came with, we met many more guests here that we enjoyed spending time with through the many activities here at Qualia and throughout the island.
The daily Yoga should definitely be tried if you have any inkling. Amy is a great instructor and the setting at the Spa is stunning. The beach “drop off” is worth doing and there is no additional fee except for any food you’d like them to pack. We did a lot of other activities such as snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef and a trip to Whitehaven Beach, but we had just as much fun enjoying the a Cockatoos at our Villa and relaxing by the personal infinity pool.
We’ve stayed in similar priced hotels during our travels, and although this is certainly on the high end, it’s worth the money and a good value.
Highly recommend staying here and meeting all the great people who work here. You will not be disappointed.

Wow… where do I start? My wife and I stayed at Qualia for 4 nights in a Windward Pavilion between 31/10 to 4/12. From the moment you step off the plane and go to the resort desk at the airport, the service is exceptional, they collect your bags as you get whisked in to van and driven to the resort where you are met with a glass of champagne as you check-in. We arrival just before our room was ready, so we sat and took in the view whilst our glasses where continually refilled with champagne (aka Qualia water). Once the room is ready, they give you the key to your personal golf buggy and they lead to you to your pavilion.
The second we opened the door, the view is breath taking… the room is a beautiful environment to be in and it feels like your in your own little bubble away from the world. The mini fridge is stocked and all the non-alcoholic drinks are included in the room fee and are refilled every day. You will also discover that you bags from the plane are waiting for you in your room upon arrival.
We had breakfast every day at the resort, which is included in the room rate and can be had at the long pavilion or in your room (at no extra cost) the quality of the food is top level and the service was great. Same can be said about dinner from the long pavilion we had for my wife’s birthday.
We had a couple of tours that had to be cancelled due to the weather (extreme winds), they communicated and handled this very professionally and helped to make the best of the situation where possible.
The resort is an adults only resort (16+) which I didn’t expect that I would enjoy this aspect some much. It makes the whole resort area such a nice and quiet place to be, even the main resort pool was the most calmiest pool I have ever been at, add in that only guest of the resort can enter the grounds adds to this calmness and Qualia should be applauded for having this approach to the resort.
The privacy, the service, the resort amenities, the views and the staff make this resort one of the best. Yes its an expensive resort, but the service and hard product provided meets the price. If you get the chance to stay here, do it!

Amazing! From the moment you hop in your private transfer you’re treated like a VIP. The driver was very knowledgeable about the island, once we’d arrived we were greeted with champagne and introduced to the general manager who was very friendly.
Check in was completed with a self driven buggy trip following the staff to your pavilion. A bottle of champagne in the room was a great touch and greatly appreciated. We were looking forward to the complimentary beach drop off however unfortunately due to the tides it wasn’t possible. We did however take advantage of the complimentary private boat adventure with the activities team. Pierce was the skipper and he was so knowledgeable about the island and made it a great experience! Big kuddos to Amelia from the activities team who accompanied me kayaking on two occasions as I was nervous to go alone. They are both great assets to the Qualia team and really made our experience! We also had Mario serve us pool side throughout our stay and he catered to our off menu requests without any hesitation. The complimentary ice cream by the pool was also a great bonus.
If your looking for a luxurious experience and top service Qualia is definitely worth the money. We’ve stayed at many luxury hotels across the world and Qualia now tops our list. We’ve already booked our next trip back!
Weather was also great for August - highly recommend this time of year as it’s not too hot and you’ll have a great chance to view whales from the lobby, pebble beach pool and your pavilion!

From the moment you walk into this hotel you feel you are special , customer service is outstanding , rooms and villas are outstanding with very nice views and a dedicated pool for every room and also a dedicated golf cart for every room to use inside and outside the resort . Food is so good with a fine dining option and also the special private trips to a private island during your stay is quite special . I would say this is the best hotel/resort all in all I have stayed in Australia.

Qualia resort on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays is absolutely wonderful. Situated close to the Great Barrier Reef it is truly a haven for adults. My partner and I were there earlier this year and stayed for 4 night in a spacious Windward Pavilion with its own infinity plunge pool.
This is a fabulous place to stay and well worth the expense. The hardest thing you will need to do is to decide on whether to have a warm stone massage at the day spa before or after swimming in one of the wonderful infinity pools. Or whether to dine at Long Pavilion Dining or at Pebble Beach that day or why not both? Depending on how active you are feeling, there are activities also available. A highlight of the stay included snorkeling on the barrier reef. Service is impeccable, the food simply delicious, and the views out to the Whitsundays achingly beautiful. Truly a memorable and relaxing vacation.

This is a 5 star (?6) gated resort. We stayed in on of the Leeward Pavilions which was beautifully equiped, clean and great views over to Dent Island. The service could not be faulted and you only had to ask for something for it to appear. From the breakfast service (a'la Carte) to the Degustation dinner, it was great food and service with a smile and our sommelier at the dinner was excellent and very nowledgeable. One minor complaint was, we felt, the need for simple food for during the day - ie a sandwich and cakes with the coffee - but that is a personal wish. Overall we were so happy that we have booked already for next year.

I can't give a definite answer to your question but I can say that their connectivity/entertainment set up was pretty good. Their guest services will be able to give you an answer.
We had 24 , this was great too
We did this a few days ago. They pick you up at water sports (on property) and take you a short ride away 10 minutes) to a lovely beach. I thought 2 hours may be too much but it was just perfect. Highly recommend it.
