Unbelievably quiet. Hardly anyone there. Beaches all to ourselves. Staff amazing. Catered for my allergies. This place is heaven on earth. Everything is included in the price. Staff can drive you anywhere any time you like.

We just returned from an absolutely wonderful stay on Lizard Island (April 6-9) and I can't say enough great things about this spectacular, unique, luxurious and seamlessly operated resort amidst the Great Barrier Reef . The island is the only inhabitable island amidst the Great Barrier Reef and one can only get there on the small 8 seater plane that...

Lizard Island is a very special place. Built when regulations were less restrictive and with careful attention to the environment it is a remarkable resort that would not likely be approved for construction today. Quiet, serene and remote with sunsets to die for, it was the perfect choice for our 50th wedding anniversary. The staff is friendly and attentive --...

Our stay at lizard was wonderful! The island is beautiful and relaxing with some of the best snokeling I have ever seen. The staff are amazing and really made our trip, they are friendly and sincere but still deliver immpecible service without being stuffy. We had to have a quick trip to the islands medic ( nothing serious! ). Odette...

The island is beautiful as is the service. This is an expensive destination so there are a few things that I considered not 5 star. Our room was a beachfront duplex. Beautiful views and very private. It was airy and a lot of space including a porch with a bed. The housekeeping was fine but not superb. Little things like...

Dear rissdan, Thank you for your comprehensive review of your recent stay with us, in particular for the feedback on the areas that we can work on. Understanding the opportunities to improve certain services is very valuable to me, as it gives me scope to keep focusing on those points that our guests are not fully satisfied with. Glad to...

Lizard Island provided a magical holiday for our honeymoon. The island itself provides a mix of secluded spots to swim, sun bake, snorkel the barrier reef, dine as well as active walks to take in natures beauty. The resorts staff contributed to our experience, personable and provide a consistently high level of service. They took the time to learn our...

This was a trip we have been dreaming of for decades and it didn't disappoint. We had a wonderful time snorkelling just off the beach, fishing, scuba diving and taking out our own dingy to enjoy a picnic on a beach all to ourselves. It is a beautiful resort set on a stunning island with wonderful staff. If you can...

Second time in ten years coming here, but loved it just the same. It's the best unique and relaxing experience I could find. The private dinghy was my favorite part, hope to come back again in less than ten years!

Dear Cece G, Thank you for visiting us again on Lizard Island. Great to hear that you enjoyed the freedom to explore the island on our dinghies, one of the unique experiences that the resort has to offer. A picnic lunch on one of the many beaches around the island certainly is an excellent way to escape and relax. I...

Lizard Island suffered from a series of cyclones and therefore was completely rebuilt within the last three years. In every way it has emerged as a spectacular resort and creates a unique atmosphere for the tourist. Lizard is very far north and requires a small plane flight from Cairns, so from Sydney it is certainly more of an effort. The...
