Kingfisher is a great place to unwind around the resort and the great pools or take in the natural beauty of the island by exploring on foot or by 4WD. We try to get over a few times a year. We love it.

We stayed here for two nights in a standard resort hotel room during low season. We paid approx A$110 a night so fairly low cost. Pro: Easy access from the mainland through their own ferry service which drops you off right at the resort. Check-in was a breeze and all staff we encountered were very friendly. Good location on the...

Recently got off Pacific ARIA at Kingfisher bay resort to attend a Bush tucker tasting and education session. This was very well handled by the young ranger and the excellent young apprentice chef. Wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Had a tasty cocktail made of southern comfort and pepper berries as well.

Not suitable for people with walking difficulties or the elderly at all. The island is very beautiful and the view from our house was nice, but some honest advise about suitable accommodation and transportation on the island when we booked would have made all the difference

We booked a Luxury Escape for 3 nights to Kingfisher Bay Resort. Absolutely loved the whole experience. Fantastic food, huge rooms, large bathrooms and a great layout of the resort. The pools were clean and very big and plenty of lounges/chairs for all. Sunset drinks down at the Sunset Bar are a must. Gorgeous sunset and location. We tried all...

We did feel the benefit of having time away . . As a housewife, I didn't have to think about grocery shopping or preparing food. The only thing we were not in favour of, was that there was only one place to dine. Yes, the freight of food would be considerable, to pay $40 each every night for a buffet...

Our stay on Fraser Island at KBR was overall a decent experience. The resort did feel slightly dated especially the main lounge and restaurant area. However our room was in good condition with decent array of amenities (if a little dark with no/little natural sunlight - due to it being on the ground floor). Overall an okay stay, with staff...

My wife and I had a great short break. Fantastic location in this wonderful world heritage location. Great accommodation with friendly helpful staff. Meals in all restaurants were great value and the $8 cocktail hour was great down at the sunset bar down at the jetty.

Super stay. The room was comfortable, clean and with a balcony overlooking the water. The room facilities were excellent and good quality. The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and gave good advice. We went on the the canoe with a great ranger who took us into the mangroves where we saw turtles and learnt a lot about that...

The accommodation is well set out amongst the tropical bush making it very quiet. The resort is open and spacious which makes it very relaxing. The food was good. We had a standard hotel room. The bed was very comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised at the generous toiletry products. Even shaving cream! I would have like to stay longer...
