Family rented two properties. Both were excellent. Great location and very well appointed. Management very supportive, informative and helpful who went out of their way to support our vacation. Strongly recommend.
We have stayed at this accommodation on several occasions, although not for a few years. As my sister and husband were coming from Melbourne they requested to go to Fraser Island. We chose to book at Fraser Island Beach Houses. We live in Maroochydore so we did the booking and paid the deposit of $350. Several days before they were to visit Melbourne went into lock down and they were unable to fly to Queensland. I contacted Fraser Island Beach Houses and was told that because we lived in Maroochydore and we did the booking there was nothing they would do for us. We would have been happy to defer the booking but the only advise that we were given is that we may as well come up ourselves and enjoy the weekend. We have been to Fraser Island many times and we were only going this time to take our Victorian visitors. This was all explained to the manager. She expected us to visit and pay another $300 for 2 of us for 2 nights. This was definitely a Covid related situation and we have been booked on all sorts of trips which have been cancelled due to Covid and received refunds on everything except this. I feel that we were very unfairly dealt with and I am writing this so other travelers know that if they pay a deposit at this establishment no matter what happens you will not get a refund or date change.…
Very impressed with how clean and tidy the houses were. Great location on the island. Houses were large and well appointed with easy parking right out the front of your house. Manager and staff very friendly and helpful with plenty of local knowledge. Kids loved the pool. Telstra coverage was perfect. Above average standard for houses on Fraser Island, will be back.
How very disappointing, we could go because of COVID, we asked to postpone until next, two families together. But the answer was no! We did not want a refund happy for next year, and happy for not school holidays, very disappointed
For anyone wanting to stay, don’t stay in the beach house #5 it’s absolutely terrible!! FULL of ants the bathroom floor is that rotten it feels like you’ll fall through!! Tiles in the shower falling off, can’t choose the hot/cold water properly, ALL the screen doors are falling off so can’t use them!! The fridge shelves are all broken and unusable, one of the fridges fans runs constantly and hits all the ice which is loud, the clothes dryer is that loud and rattles it shakes the walls. There’s no curtains in the living area, the couches had that much sand on them we may as well have been sitting on the beach!! We stayed here over 8years ago and thought it would of been better but NO maintenance has been done so we will not be back and we will be telling everyone not to stay as well!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!…
Staff were helpful and kind, houses were beautiful with space and stunning views. Pool area is great for the kids. This is the perfect place to stay for holidays with big groups or families. We will definitely come back!
After a year of turmoil and uncertainty we knew the one thing we could rely on was our yearly epic holiday at Fraser Island Beach Houses with Natalie and Adam .You guys are amazing and you make our year with such friendly faces and your personalised relationship with your guests it really is like seeing old friends Thank you again and we will see you next year.
We had house 13, which is one of the 3brm spa villas - I was a bit disappointed because I wanted a beach front house but they were all booked out - however it was actually a good position, very quiet and no stairs inside. There was quite an onshore wind for most of the week and this house was nice and protected for evenings relaxing on the deck. It is a decent sized, clean and comfortable house with good beds and all the amenities including clothes dryer. If you are looking for luxe, its not the place, but most of Fraser is like that. The kitchen was good enough, just lacking in a grater and cloths to wipe up with. We never heard our neighbours so its quite private. The whole place was being painted externally and they look much nicer now. Natalie the host was very helpful with advice about timing of trips and things to see etc. If I went again Id try to get one of the houses further away from the road in bc the Beach Camp on the opposite side was heaving with backpackers who had a loud and late party with truly awful music ;-)…
We stayed in unit 29, three bedroom two bathroom kitchen lounge dining. We could get a glimpse of the ocean from the Veranda from the master bedroom. Overall the villa was a bit tired and had a very outdated gas oven, dishwasher didn’t work properly, overall it needs a bit of a refurbishment.
Great location, good views to beach, pool and bbq area kept clean and tidy. Unfortunately beach house 5 is tired and poorly maintained. We chose a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom as there was 6 of us but one of the toilets malfunctioned on day 2. Manager Natalie assured us it would be fixed after they got a part from Gympie. The shower was very hard to adjust to get any hot water. Natalie said it would be fixed in a couple of months. Toilet was never fixed - Natalie’s solution was for us to keep flushing it with a bucket of water - hardly what you would expect to have to do in advertised luxury accomodation. Natalie suggested a small refund for the inconvenience - still waiting, have requested it from Natalie 3 times but I think there was never any intention of giving a refund. Would not recommend House 5.…
