I travel often and this was the comfiest bed I slept on in a long time. Everything a traveler needs is a very short stroll away and the rooms are well appointed we were greeted by a welcoming smile and enjoyed our stay very much. Very quiet for such a prominent location and pool is sparkling and inviting.

We stayed here on a recommendation from family who attend often when in Townsville. The location was excellent for our needs, and the options of 1 and 2 bedrooms worked wonderfully for family staying.
The rooms are huge, it's very comfortable. While the property is not new, it's got everything you need and the kitchen makes life easy if you want to cook onsite.
Staff were so very lovely, the access was easy and check in and out also no troubles.

The unit we stayed in had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. The beds were comfortable, showers had great pressure and the unit was quiet. We had a view of the beach from our balcony. Secure parking was a bonus and the bays were generously sized. A short walk to restaurants and cafe's and not far to drive to shopping centres. The lift made getting bags to the unit a breeze. We had a great stay.

The hotel presents excellently. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean. The tiny tv mounted ridiculously high on the wall is a little odd but the rest of the room is clean and comfortable. That’s where the good stops.
Townsville is a warm place, even in winter it’s considerably warmer than southern cities. You would think air con would be a given here. The a/c in this building may as well not exist because the management have locked out the in room controls and have set the temp to 24. This is far too warm!
Another issue is the interconnecting door between rooms. It appears to be made from paper as you can hear everything going on in the room next door. Thankfully my neighbours kept me abreast with the latest movies Netflix has to offer at 1am through to 6am - when I had to get up for work.

I was charged $95.95 for a security call out fee after the electronic key failed to allow me access to my apartment after hours. Upon checkout it was explained to me that it wasn't my error and I would not be charged, but yet the following day my credit card was deducted the amount and only option for dispute is via email which is proving to be a timely painful process and ongoing during this review. I do not recommend this property.

We’d stayed here at the Ocean Breeze a year before and thought it was excellent. Clean, comfortable, good value and a spot-on location just off The Strand. Unfortunately management appears to have been on a cost saving mission since. A new card reader is needed for the car park as getting into it was an exercise in complete frustration…our final entry required nearly 5 minutes of swiping before the doors finally lifted. The Wi-Fi in the room was virtually non-existent…the signal from the Anelay restaurant across the road was stronger…and when you could connect the bandwidth was so poor the pages would rarely open. And the AC, well heaven forbid allowing guests to adjust the temperature themselves. This needed to be done from reception, which is not open 24 hours! So if you discover it is too hot in the middle of the night, tough luck sweat it out. Not sure if we’ll be returning.

Location was excellent for the event we attended and the pricing was also good for the room. Issues around internet access and TV working in room was very poor. Raise twice with management and no one even followed us up and fixed the issue. Bed needs to be larger size for room.

Dirty old building needs a complete revamp. Walked in and asked them to make plastic bags off the smoke alarms. Had to wash all the plates cutlery etc on hot wash dishwasher before use. Mould evident everywhere and you can't control the aircon as it's locked by the building

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at the end of December, found it clean and comfortable and central for the beach and rock pool. Easy too to walk to ferry port for Magnetic Island trips which were great. . Check in was easy.Close to restaurants and shops.

This is a very good apartment complex in a fabulous location - just 50m off the Strand in the North Ward. The room was fine with everything we needed for a six day stay and a balcony with a sea view. The underground parking was useful and especially in the hot summer days. Lots of great eating option in the nearby vicinity (Shorehouse recommended) and so close to enjoy the Strand beach path and Jezzine Barracks
