The hostel is centrally located in Townsville close to the aquarium and several restaurants. Its also a short walk from the Greyhound station. We only stayed two nights to go to the Billabong Sanctuary. The room was nice with a wardrobe, air-con and a fridge. It was very clean as well. The facilities were nice and well maintained. Toilets and...

Me and my friends had a relaxed stay here. We checked into a four bed dorm for three nights and for two of those nights we got the four bed dorm to ourselves just the three of us. We slept well here no issues and there was air con/fans in the rooms. We seen cleaners every morning and all the...

Easy to get to from the greyhound stop. The room was smaller than other hostels but this wasn't a problem as we were barely there. The fridge in the room was great for storing food and water. I could only find one toilet and shower which isn't great for all the guests staying there. Close proximity to the restaurants, shops...

Ended up staying at this hostel for two night. Probably one of the nicest so far on our trip. First stay was just a night before we travelled to Magnetic Island for the night. Hostel is very well kept. The owners appear to live on site. Room is very clean, spacious, has a fridge in room and a TV with...

Stayed here whilst touring the East Coast and was one of the nicest hostels we stayed in. Unfortunately only managed to stay for one night. The room was clean, had a tv on the wall and a fridge which was perfect for our cooler bag. The toilets and showers although not sparkly clean were clean enough with very powerful showers...

The room had a double bed, just what I needed after 10 days on a sailing ship. The kitchen was great, and the facilities were clean. The colour scheme was like a beach house and if had WIFI!!! The staff were knowledgeable and thorough, yet unobtrusive.

chose Reef initially for its central location to the bus and ferry terminals...can only repeat what others have written here much more eloquently than me that this hostel is super clean and tidy and the whole vibe so relaxed..a credit to the owners, more hostel operators could learn from them

We didn't expect such a sweet little hostel. They put a Lot of effort in the interior to make the guests feel comfortable. Wifi even in the rooms. Clean rooms and kitchen. Nice chill out, relax and eating sites... Really a Familiar Place, we would stay there again!

Eventhough Townsville wasn't my favourite city on my east coast trip, this backpackers was totally friendly and clean. They offer you so much more than other backpackers. I just found that the price for laundry is a bit expensive with 5$ for the washing machine and 1$ for 10min Dryer. The average price for both are 3$. But all in...

Hi Markus and thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. Sorry you found the washer and dryer expensive however they are jumbo machines and are cheaper than the local Laundromats charging $7 per wash. There is a cloths drying line you could have used which cost $0. Were happy you liked the hostel and enjoyed your stay in...
