We stayed for a week at the Yongala, they put us on the top floor (there are no lifts) but not really an issue, they had a relief manager Linley who was just lovely and helpful as was his wife and a lovely dog. The room was large, large enough for a king bed but there was a queen size...

We made a booking for three self contained rooms, one family, in October 2015, yes twelve months in advance, for the October 2016 Townsville Air Show and were told that even then most accommodation outlets were fully booked for the event only to find out that this was untrue as on the actual three days we were there there were...

Well positioned hotel & reasonable prices, clean rooms ours had a kitchen area and a balcony. Carolyn the relief Manager was helpful and friendly which made our stay even more enjoyable would definitely recommend a stay here you get exactly what you need for a mid budget hotel.

I have stayed here many times, it provides everything I need & I think it represents good value for money. It's not five star, probably two or three star, but I choose it over more expensive places. The first thing to mention is the accommodation itself. This is not in the charming old Queenslander building that's used in advertisements, though...

This is a super place to stay. Fryer St is at right angles to The Strand so you are only 50m walk to The Strand beach yet don't suffer the inconvenience of staying right on The Strand with its traffic noise, other motels noise, noisy pedestrians etc. The Lodge itself is historic- the motel rooms are behind the Lodge in...

Pluses- nice and close to the Strand, easy walk to lots of restaurants. Nice and quiet. Large room size and bathroom, plenty of hot water. Staff friendly and helpful in recommending options of where to visit and eat. Free parking and wifi, however wifi only works on the verandah. Small pool, great to cool the kids down. Negatives- if you...

This is the place to stay when you go to Townsville. It's not expensive, it has a quality restaurant and if you want the bars and restaurants of the Strand they are only a short stroll away, which means it's nice and quiet when you want it to be. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and very clean. I will...

Had no knowledge of any accommodation in Townsville. Travelling with our family so was seeking something reasonably priced. Our family of five really enjoyed staying here. Ideally situated next to the Strand. Well kept rooms in a quiet location. Highly recommended.

Great location, The Strand is only a 1-2 minute walk away from the Yongala. There is plenty of places to choose from to eat only minutes away on the Strand. The Seaview hotel offers a selection of $10.00 meals from Monday to Thursday nights. The free waterpark for the kids on the Strand is at the end of the street...
