The free undercover parking is Russian roulette style find one if you can, the car park height clearance was very low at 1.8 meters. The rooms front door key fob failed three times over the two day stay locking us out requiring assistance to get back in. There was a blinking fluorescent light in the bedroom. The TV was Damaged not working on site manager did a running repair to the damaged aerial . The aircon remote was missing on arrival manager found another one. The toilet seat was loose consequently move around. The telephone did not work consequently couldn’t contact manager he managed to get to work but it stopped working almost. Immediately afterwards. All these things took the gloss off our weekend stay. We wont be returning.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Positives - great view from our apartment on floor 20, great location right next to the beach and Cavill avenue in a clean area, within walking distance to transport etc. spa was great and although the pool wasn’t that warm, it was very nice. Jackie was super friendly and helpful and very apologetic about the issue we had getting in on our first night. Yes, some bits are a bit outdated but there are renovations going on so obviously improvements are being implemented.

Negative - the night ‘managers’ or whatever they were meant to be were very unprofessional. Both Eisha (sp) and Sharyn didn’t show any interest in helping us when we couldn’t get in to get our keys which were supposed to be in the safe inside. They just kept saying we don’t have your booking & no we don’t want your booking number and hung up on us 4 times despite the fact we were booked in. I’m not sure where they were situated but they certainly were not going to come or send anyone to help us! We were at the point that we thought we would have to find somewhere else for the night to stay (at 9pm!) and was really stressful.
By a bit of luck Brent came along and gave us a room & said to fix it with Jackie in the morning. Jackie was very apologetic in the morning, due to an admin error, our booking had been put in the wrong dates, mistakes happen but the night staff sure left a bad impression, would’ve hated that to happen to some international tourists.

I would happily stay here again, just hopefully the night staff will be nicer next time.

The view here is just simply amazing! Perfect location and a couple of minutes walk to shops. Beach is across the road.
We were first put in a one bedroom apartment ending in 02. Whilst it was lovely, the bedroom is at the back and does not have windows. We asked if we could move to a one bedroom with the bedroom facing the ocean. The lady at reception was amazing and switched us to 1203. It was great. The room was clean, had everything we needed and a gorgeous view to wake up to!
The only negative I can say about it is that the room did not have aircon. Whilst it is winter and lovely weather, the sun shines straight onto the balcony until around 12pm, and it was very hot until then. That’s the only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating.
I would 100% return again, but will ensure I ask for an apartment with bedroom overlooking the ocean that has aircon.
The pool and spas were closed due to covid 19, which was a bit disappointing, but certainly didn’t ruin anything for us.
Please bear in mind that these apartments are not new, so don’t expect the Hilton. But the location and the view really are to die for. And hey, you can’t beat the price!
The lady at reception (think her name was Jackie?) was so lovely and extremely helpful. She is a credit to them.
Look forward to returning next time we go away.

The good.
Views from balcony are great look straight onto the beach location is great a short walk to Cavill avenue.
The bad.
Absolutely disgusting unit cleaning if it has even been cleaned. Scuffs on walls don’t bother me but filthy oven, the kitchen bench not wiped over mirror in bathroom not wiped over hair on the floor, fridge is gross. This hotel does not take COVID-19 seriously otherwise the cleaning of rooms should be to a much higher standard!Second bedroom no window lift the blinds and you a nice view of the hotel lifts. Car park good luck if you get a park. NOT worth the money would not recommend. Wish I had read the reviews before staying here. Will never stay again!

DON’T WASTE your money staying at the Surfers International Appartments. Absolutely disgusting. Our room was filthy, sheets were dirty, dead bugs in the kitchen cupboards, had to wash the plates and kitchen utensils before use. Floors were dirty and so was the bathroom and toilet. Hot bedroom with a fan that made a awful noise and could not be used. Fan in cupboard was full of dust. Room had an awful smell to it. We were offered another room, but that room was just as bad, even worst. The rooms don’t look anything like advertised, in fact I don’t even think the rooms ever get cleaned. Complete waste of money.

We stayed in apt 307 at fist glance the apartment looked to be clean but outdated, but once we had a look around there was a few issues. The Bedroom was small but neat the bed was clean and comfortable the carpet was clean but in need of replacing. The bathroom was large had plenty of storage but was very old and dated and the shower grout need a good clean. The lounge area was a good size but the lounge was in desperate need of being replaced it no cushioning and very uncomfortable. The kitchen area the oven was dirty so we were hesitant to use it also the microwave was unusable as it was rusted, the main reason for get an apartment was to be able to make our own meals but unable to. All the electrical appliances were all past there safety checks due 2019 and we visited in 2021 so very hesitant to use them. The only positives was there was great views from the balcony and Cavill mall within walking distance. While we were there they were in the process of renovations on the outside of the building and balconies hopefully they do the much need inside of the building and it would then become a good place to stay

I booked 6 months in advance for a special event via their website but didn’t get a response. When I followed up three weeks after booking I was told that the price has doubled and my room type was no longer available. This was very disappointing because I had booked early to get a room.

We stayed from the 16th of October to the 30th of October and what a fabulous place to stay the view from our apartment was so good as we were able to watch the ocean. The apartment was lovely it was well set up with a king size bed and all amenities that are needed in an apartment. The outside area with the pool bbq area and the spa are well set up to sit or swim or just relax in the beautiful surrounding. The staff are very friendly and try to cater to everyone I would highly recommend this fabulous place to stay if you want a good holiday as it's close to resturants shops ocean and tram, see you next May as we can't wait

Very disappointed with the cleanliness and general condition of room and facilities. Fan or light did not work. Unit smelled dirty. Scuff marks everywhere. Garage not easy to park in. Staff friendly and helpful however.

Number 1005 is a large apartment with very effective aircon in main bedroom and lounge. No aircon in second bedroom with twin beds but the fan is great and all windows can be cracked open slightly to catch breeze, plus sliding doors to main balcony can be fully open. Long wrap around balcony overlooks the length of Surfers Paradise beach and is set back around the side so is not affected directly by the building work, although the whole area is noisy at times. I believe the cooker is to be replaced so it might be worth asking if this has been done. Some cookware is pretty old and tired it could be worth taking a fry pan and cutting board.

I haven't stayed in that particular room but all rooms have sea views and a balcony and I think you would be very happy in any room.
