I had the fortune of completing my manadtory hotel quaratine at this hotel and I am very thankful I was assigned here. Every hotel room has a balcony with ours directly looking onto the ocean, surfers paradise and the river (we felt like we were pinching ourself every day with the views!!). The abundance of fresh air and sunshine really helped our stay. The staff were exteremely friendly and assisted with any and all requests and deliveries. It made our time there so much easier as we could have family drop off food, clothes, items, anything! The rooms also have a mini fridge. I believe all rooms either have a king bed or 2 double beds, which are super comfortable. Thank you so much to the staff for making our stay much easier.

After reading all the complaining in the news about those who had to do mandatory quarantine after returning from overseas we arrived in Brisbane expecting the worst. We were allocated Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise. We shed a tear at the ability to have a wonder balcony/fresh air and an amazing view for our 14 days. The crew downstairs cook and deliver the most delicious generous serves of food 3 times a day. Every time we dialled 9 to speak to the front desk, we were greeted with the bubbliest helpful staff. Management you have an amazing team look after them. A massive thank you to the Crowne staff, QPS, Qld Health and the ADF for making our stay just so comfortable. The prompt delivery of care packages from family, free laundry returned within a couple hours, comfy beds and the calls to check in with us. Just thank you thank you a million times.

The hotel did well as a quarantine facility. I have no doubts that they will do as well, or even better, as a hotel for holidays. Services were prompt and fulfilled accurately, and these are irregular services that only quarantined folks would ask for. E.g. cleaning materials, vacuum cleaner, extra coffee, no soft-drinks for meal plan. The room is fantastic as the balcony comes with either the river view or sea view. When we arrived, the room was spotlessly clean. It is reassuring especially during a pandemic. Lastly, the reception makes an effort to check in once every few days to see how we are doing. It must have been busy being sandwiched between the requests from the police, ADF, Gold Coast public health and guests. We take heart in seeing the hotel staff going the extra mile to ensure our needs (and wants) are met.

If you are staying at this hotel due to mandatory quarantine let me reassure you will not be disappointed! Yes it was a long process to get through Brisbane airport and arrive at the hotel (about 4 hrs) however it is a very slick operation and everyone is doing their best to get it done as fast and safe as possible. Much to our relief our room has a balcony (I think most if not all do) and you can hear the waves of the ocean from the room. Not sure who is doing the catering (if onsite restaurant or catering company) but the food has been really delicious - plenty of health food and snacks. Husband commented we don't eat this well at home!!! All staff are friendly and accommodating. Only on day 4 of 14 but can say the time is flying and dare I say almost feels as though we are on holiday.... almost!!! Massive thank you to all the police, defence force personnel, health workers, and hotel staff you are doing a fantastic job and although being in quarantine sucks we are very thankful you are all keeping us and our loved ones in Australia safe.

After a few good stays the standards unfortunately went over the balcony. Broken glass through the shower and bathroom, kitchen and hall floors not mopped. Broken glass in carpet in bedroom. How is this a Quaratine hotel if this was the standard of cleaning during an essential travel period only. I'm beyond shocked.
